Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

No one remembers anymore, in the gaps between worlds, there exists such a world, unconstrained by space and time, freely roaming in the forces and domains of Chaos. Their sole purpose is to destroy all civilizations, wherever they go, heresy runs rampant, and carnage and riots become the theme of this world.

They are called the — Chaos Demons.

Once, Chaos Demons were one of the most terrifying enemies in this world, but they’ve been banished for millions of years. Even their records have faded into the dust of history, appearing only in fairy tales and ancient stories passed through word of mouth.

They crave fear, toy with souls, and conquer everything.

And now, they have returned!

That day, humans finally recalled the terror they once ruled over, and the humiliation of being conquered!

......It was supposed to be like this.

However, when the army of demons released the Seal with great morale and appeared in this world, ready to delight in the wails and agony of humans, what they saw was merely a mass of corpses and the Taren Swarm feasting upon them.

”......???”

At this moment, all Chaos Demons were filled with confusion.

What the hell is this?

We were supposed to appear, plunder, and conquer?

This is just like being invited to a feast, only to arrive and find it over, with only leftovers being licked from plates!

Can this be tolerated?!

”Despicable creeps!!”

Kanji, an Evil God with a tall figure, bird-like wings, and a dinosaur-like head, holding a Magic Wand, lowered his voice, letting out an angry screech.

”These bodies and souls are our beautiful art, not your ignorant, greedy, brainless beasts’ meal! You shall eventually go back to your world; here, these are the toys of our progeny of the Eye of Terror!”

”Kill them all, kill them all!!!”

Massive like mountains, the imposing Evil God Khorne unleashed his wrath, eager for battle and anticipating destruction and death. And now, these damned bugs disrupted his feast; their fate could only end in death!

”Blood sacrifices to the Blood God, skull offerings to the throne!”

The bloodthirsty demon following Khorne screamed loudly. Accompanying the cries, a massive, twisted, peculiar castle rose from the ground, millions of demons roared as they charged at the feasting Taren Insect Race, and soon, another great battle commenced.

”Oh, oh, oh, it’s started, it’s started.”

Hidden in the Shadows, Fang Zheng whistled as he continued watching the battle unfold. He could see that, compared to the Taren Insect Race, this newly emerged enemy force was clearly more aligned with the Magic Side. They felt to Fang Zheng like demons battling in Hell, filled with the aura of impurity, evil, and brutality.

”.......What’s that?”

At this moment, Darth Vader, back on the Warship, also witnessed the scene through Fang Zheng’s monitor, instantly dumbfounded.

”I don’t know either. It seems it should be some kind of evil existence sealed here. Anyway, they’ve been released now, and quite obviously, they are very angry... Let’s just continue watching this show.”

As Fang Zheng said, this was indeed a good show.

The demons’ madness and savagery were unimaginable to humans, and even to the Taren Insect Race. These demons charged into the Insect Race army, wantonly destroying everything. They tore apart the spore tentacles Taren Insect Race used to absorb planetary nutrients, and burned the digestion pools they used to dissolve and absorb biomass, which immediately infuriated the Taren Insect Race.

You’re enjoying your meal at the feast, and suddenly a bunch of hillbillies crash in and flip your family’s dining table over, would you be willing?

Of course not willing!

So soon, the Taren Insect Race began their counterattack.

Countless Ripping Worms and Serpent Bugs roared under the command of the Insect Hive Warriors, charging at the demons. But just as they advanced, the clouds above them suddenly split apart, accompanied by the tormented screams of billions of souls, a torrential rain of blood and bile poured down, transforming the entire ground into a world of demonic sludge.

Next, fiery demon wheels whirled past, turning everything to Ash.

Like swarms of wasps, the demons pounced forward, shredding everything they saw into Fragments, even the towering Spore Beasts and Insect Hive Lords were not spared. And those spores descending from the sky fared no better; passing through the multicolored clouds and evil fog, landing on the ground, either shattered by the osteoporotic impact or left as agonizing, non-combative maggot piles.

Not only that, soon the Zerg discovered they were in trouble.

The greatest advantage of the Taren Zerg is that they can devour biomass and convert it into their own energy, so the more they fight, the more they produce. However, these creations from Subspace are not the same. The Gutworm erupted from underground, devouring and swallowing the Demon’s army, trying to completely digest it. Yet, this flesh clearly did not cooperate with the Taren Zerg’s digestive system. The worms that consumed the Demon flesh almost always exploded and died moments later, with not even a whole corpse left behind.

At this point, the Taren Zerg finally got serious, and Fang Zheng thus witnessed the true power of the Taren Swarm.

They dispatched gigantic creatures with cannons mounted on their backs to start constant long-range bombardment against the Demon’s army. An almost unimaginable terrifying firepower was tilted towards these uninvited guests. And when the demons raised their hands, ready to unleash their evil and terrifying magic, behind the Swarm, floating upwards like seahorse and worm hybrid creatures, monsters controlled Subspace Shadows to suppress the opponent’s magical offensive. Immediately, a series of scorching, psionic-like forces erupted, blasting those demons into shards of bloody flesh.

For both sides, this was a war of attrition with no replenishment.

The Taren Zerg could not obtain the biomass they needed from the Chaos Demons, and the Chaos Demons similarly could not acquire the blood and souls they craved from the Taren Zerg.

The plague created by the Evil God Nagu was quickly immunized by the Taren Zerg, while Kanji’s cunning schemes were no match for the overwhelming swarm of the Taren Zerg. Sex Sin’s attempt to lead the desires of the Taren Zerg almost led to self-destruction. Without fear, blood, and the worship of mortals, the demons’ subsequent weakened offensive reached a stalemate with the Taren Zerg’s attrition war.

And that’s about it.

After once again witnessing the great battle between the two sides, Fang Zheng stood up. It had been days since the Chaos Demons appeared. Thanks to these demons, Fang Zheng and Darth Vader had gathered a wealth of data and intelligence on both sides’ combat units. Especially regarding the Zerg, it’s worth noting that in previous battles, humans were too weak; often, the Taren Zerg hadn’t even exerted themselves before humans fell.

Under such circumstances, they naturally couldn’t see the true strength of the Taren Zerg.

But now, in the battle against the Chaos Demons, humans finally discovered the methods these worms had hidden.

Brain Bugs with supernatural powers, Gargoyles battling like Flying Serpents in the air, Flying Demons and Celestial Witches, and Poison Mist Bugs that release horrific toxic gases on the battlefield, along with Spore Beasts and Cannon Bugs capable of terrifying long-range firepower attacks......

Now that the intelligence has been collected, it’s time for me to...... take action!

Fang Zheng tossed aside the peanut shells in his hand, patted his clothes, and stood up, staring at the distant battlefield. After days of reconnaissance and investigation, he had discovered the true nature of these Chaos Demons. They were, in essence, Subspace creatures; meaning conventional methods could barely kill them. Just like the Hell Demons in the Main World, they can’t truly be killed. When their form in this world is destroyed, they simply return to their own world to recover.

However...... this time, Fang Zheng would not give them that opportunity.

Now that both sides were blinded by rage, they never imagined a third party was watching from the sidelines, ready to pounce like a mantis hunts the cicada while the sparrow watches from behind. Taking this chance to seize them in one fell swoop!

Fang Zheng stood up, then — a leap.

Immediately, the world roared.

”Boom———————!!!!!!!!”

Like a volcanic eruption, black smoke rolled skyward, flames scattered far and wide, and a gigantic Black Dragon unfurled its wings, soaring from the peak of the clouds toward the ground.

”Pain! Suffering! My hatred burns within the Abyss!”

A deep roar swept across the entire planet, even causing the warring armies of Taren Zerg and Chaos Demons to pause momentarily. They turned their heads, and the last thing they saw was a sea of fire, consuming everything like a tsunami.

”The world trembles at my torment!!”

The Evil God Kanji screamed, raising its Magic Wand, but its feathers ignited instantly, and the entire Evil God transformed into a fiery figure, swallowed by the flames.

”The pitiful kingdom collapses in my fury!!!”

Faced with the oncoming sea of fire, the fat Unclean One Nagu instinctively raised both hands to shield itself. But as the flames surged past, the immense, obese mountain of flesh instantly disintegrated, scattering into ashes with the wind.

”Finally, the entire planet will be destroyed!!!!”

In despair, Sex Sin reached out, attempting to flee back to the rift from which it had emerged. Yet the entwining flames turned into chains, binding it to the earth, swiftly dragging it into the fiery furnace, vanishing without a trace.

Only the angry Khorne raised its weapon, trying to battle the looming shadow of destruction, fire, and death. But even it resisted only for a moment before being forcibly brought to the ground.

The pitch-black, sharp claws tore into Khorne’s body, burning flames devoured its innards and muscles. Soon, the once unbridled Evil God was roasted into pitch-black charcoal.

The flying and massive dragon raised its head once more, gazing across the planet, which had turned into a sea of blazing fire. The Swarm, Chaos Demons, everything and everyone had become part of history.

”In the shadow of my wings, all things become ashes!!!!!!”

Indeed, in times of flaunting, one must rely on the big brother!
