Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The final outcome did not surprise Red Ponytail. Two-thirds of the Magical Girls who came here chose to re-contract.

This is not actually surprising because those gathered here are almost all local Magical Girls. They have lived here since childhood, in this city. To them, this city is their home. Though they usually have many complaints about here and there, when their home and their loved ones are threatened, these Magical Girls would certainly not stand by and do nothing.

On the other hand, the Magical Girls on the Margis side are mostly outsiders. They all came here after learning in their dreams about the rumor that ”Magical Girls can find redemption in Kamihama City.”

So for them, sacrificing a place like Kamihama City, which has no significant relation to them, to liberate Magical Girls all over the world is not a difficult choice.

Of course, from the perspective of local Magical Girls, it’s a different story.

Are you burning my house to seek Redemption? Can I burn yours in return? MMP!

Considering the psychological issues many Magic Girls in Kamihama City have, Red Ponytail also adopted the ”team re-contract” method. Truthfully speaking, it’s like during Kohin’s time, letting the Magical Girls re-contract as a group. That way, whoever wakes up first can go and wake up the others.

Just like they say, the wealthier first help those that follow.

The remaining one-third consists of Margis’s Magical Girls, lone wolves, and neutrals. Though they dislike Margis, they are also unwilling to sell themselves again, so they want to be neutral third parties with the Adjustment House, help neither side, and see the result when the dust settles.

Well, that’s actually not wrong.

Thankfully, there are many Magical Girls in Kamihama City, some even attending the same school. They usually team up for activities, and their relationships are quite good. Therefore, this aspect became quite simple. For example, the group of Taozi, Rena, and Feng easily broke through the hurdles under Taozi’s lead and successfully re-contracted.

Among the others, the combination of Natsume Yoshiko, Nanaka Tokiwa, Shishin Kyou, and Chun Meiyu, as well as the trio of Ariaken, Emiri Mokki, and Kozue Mayu, and the duo of Isuzu Reine and Rika Ayano all succeeded in passing through.

Hmm... What to say...

Seeing the crowds filled with indescribable presence after the re-contract, Red Ponytail only felt a rush of citrus aroma coming their way...

”So, what should we do next, BOSS?”

While Red Ponytail silently captured the refreshing interactions between the awakened Magical Girls using their personal terminal, Jyushi appeared again and asked.

”Should we assault Margis directly?”

”What are you talking about? We’re not a gang seizing territory. First, we don’t even know where their base is. Even if we did, I don’t agree with just going over. That’s their territory. Who knows if they’ve set up traps inside? Rashly breaking in might lead to total destruction.”

Red Ponytail shook their head, then sighed helplessly, looking up at the sky.

”Ah, what a pity the opponent is also Magical Girls. Otherwise, I would apply for space orbital bombardment...”

”...I feel like I heard something very unsettling?”

”That’s your imagination.”

Red Ponytail decisively dismissed Jyushi’s idea.

”So our idea is simple: with our current manpower, we will sweep away the rumors across Kamihama City. After all, that’s what we’re worried about, isn’t it? If rumors continue to spread, more people will be harmed. We must stop this trend. So it’s up to you and Yachiyo to lead the Magical Girls of the Eastern and Western Districts respectively in sweeping away these rumors, thoroughly eliminating them. This way, Margis will definitely make a move, and at that time, the initiative will be in our hands!”

Saying this, Red Ponytail clenched their fist tightly.

”Kohin, please write down all the rumors and their locations that you remember! So Yachiyo and Jyushi can attack them. Remember, each team must have designated roles, leave someone specifically for communication, use telepathy if possible, and use phone communication if telepathy is disrupted... Keep in touch, that’s the plan!”

Regarding Red Ponytail’s plan, neither Yachiyo nor Jyushi had objections. Other Magical Girls had no resistance either. If they were attacking Magical Girls, these girls might have some dissatisfaction. But now that their target is Rumor Witch, there were no complaints. Eliminating those threatening Kamihama City, Magical Girls won’t show any mercy!

As Kohin regained their memory, the precise strikes of the Magical Girls soon started to make an impact. Within two or three days, most of the rumors that Margis deployed in Kamihama City were cleared out. Although Margis’s black and white cloaks occasionally attempted to interfere, a strong dragon cannot suppress the local snake. The local gang, equipped with favorable timing, geographical advantages, and human resources, are certainly more powerful than the crossing dragon.

Things went smoothly for Red Ponytail, but for Margis, it wasn’t good news.

”Really, how could this happen!”

Toka angrily tossed the pillow aside, repeatedly stomping their foot.

”What are these Magical Girls doing! Why have they started opposing us out of nowhere?!”

For Toka, the actions of Kamihama City’s Magical Girls were indeed unexpected. Although these Magical Girls had encountered Margis’s people before, they mostly ignored each other, following the principle of ”the well water doesn’t interfere with the river water.” But now, these Magical Girls have started aggressively targeting rumors... This is not a good sign!

”There must be some problem somewhere.”

In contrast to the agitated Toka, Yumem remained calm, quietly sipping tea while gazing beside them.

”Meidong, what do you think?”

”Everyone is very anxious.”

Meidong also furrowed her brow at this moment.

”In fact, we heard some news... about over there...”

”...Huh?”

Upon hearing Meidong’s description of the situation, Toka raised her eyebrows.

”What’s that? Just by having faith in a Deity, you can re-establish a contract to become a Magical Girl? How is something so unscientific even possible!”

”But in fact, the transformation methods and means of those Magical Girls have indeed changed. I have carefully observed them, and they really seem to no longer have Soul Gems or rings...”

”So, does that mean there are people, like us, who have also found a way to release Magical Girls?”

Yumem slightly frowned, while Toka angrily slapped the table.

”I absolutely refuse to believe it. Something as unscientific as a Deity simply cannot exist! Only we can save the Magical Girls. This is our ideal and our mission!”

”In that case, why not just move the plan forward?”

At this moment, suddenly, another voice came from the doorway. Everyone turned to look, only to see Elina slowly walking over from the entrance, her face showing a sickly pallor, but she cracked a smile.

”Elina’s artwork is almost finished, right? It’s about time to start, after all, those rumors Yumem created took a long time too... It would be a shame if they were eliminated just like that.”

”True, that being the case... let’s prepare to execute the final plan.”

Upon hearing this, Toka thought for a moment, then resolutely nodded. Seeing the expressions of the three, Meidong felt somewhat uneasy.

Although she joined Margis to escape the sorrowful fate of a Magical Girl, now... Meidong always felt that the development of the situation seemed to be getting out of her control.

Or perhaps... things were never within her control?

Yachiyo, what would you do in such a situation?

Thinking of the report she had seen before, Meidong lowered her head and sighed silently. From the information from Black Wing, Yachiyo was leading the Magical Girls in striking against the rumors, was it possible... that in the end, they would have no choice but to face each other in battle?

”Then, it’s decided!”

However, while Meidong was contemplating, the three of Margis discussed something, and then Toka forcefully slapped the table.

”Tonight is the time for our counterattack!”

”Counterattack?”

”Exactly.”

In response to Meidong’s inquiry, Toka nodded.

”Those Magical Girls can no longer obstruct us, but before that, we need to divert their attention. Fortunately, we have also supplemented with some brand new viable forces, come on in.”

Accompanied by Toka’s voice, the previously tightly closed door slowly opened, and then Meidong saw a girl with golden curls and wearing what seemed like a pure white gown walk in. Upon looking at the girl before her, Meidong felt a shiver run through her entire body. She could feel that this girl was not a simple Magical Girl, but a Half-Witch Transformation Magical Girl!

Are you kidding? It’s known that Half-Witch Transformations, while being Margis’ trump card, can typically only be maintained for a limited time by normal Magical Girls, and the same is true for Meidong herself. However, this girl could always maintain her Half-Witch Transformation? What kind of Creature is this?

”Who is she...?”

”She is Mami Tomoe, a Magical Girl from Mitakihara. She is very keen to join Margis and cooperate with us, so we helped her with some small favors... Mami Tomoe, I need you to accomplish something, is that alright?”

”Of course.”

Upon hearing Toka’s inquiry, Mami Tomoe lifted her head to look at everyone present, revealing a smile akin to that of a saint.

”For the sake of Margis’ plan, I am willing to give my everything!”
