Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”Thanks to Kohin’s information, we eliminated another rumor today.”

Walking down the street, the girls who just finished a battle were in a good mood, as Tsuruno happily raised her hand and stretched with vigor.

”Looking at it this way, a lot of rumors don’t seem to be that powerful.”

”But witches are still difficult to deal with.”

Unlike the excited Tsuruno, Kohin sighed. Fighting rumors was their established strategy, but eliminating witches was the mission of Magical Girls. In a place like Kamihama City, where you could encounter nine witches just going out to buy a bottle of cola, the problem was more severe. This time, on their way to tackle a rumor, Kohin and her team encountered two witches, and on their way back after dealing with the rumor, they encountered one more, totaling one rumor and three witches dealt with today...

”But we’ve also become stronger, haven’t we?”

Felicia gleefully clenched her fist and waved it vigorously.

”You know, Little Hong’s deity power is pretty reliable.”

After the re-contract, the flow of Magical Girls’ power also changed. Previously, the Magical Girls fought relying on their own power, but after the contract, they essentially became believers of the God of Magical Girls, relying on the God of Magical Girls’ divine power to fight. In this area, Fang Zheng also created a whole new system to accommodate and adjust the use of power.

Simply put, if divine power is compared to currency, then the God of Magical Girls is equivalent to opening a bank. Every Magical Girl, at midnight every night, will unconsciously ”deposit” any unused divine power of the day into the bank’s public account, and when they need divine power in battles, they can withdraw from the public account after using up their own divine power.

Simply put, assume a Magical Girl has 100 divine power, can ”generate” 10 units of faith value daily, contributing 300 divine power over thirty days. If, after this period, a Magical Girl encounters a witch she can’t defeat with her current power and needs to ”withdraw” an additional 100 divine power to handle it, she can directly use what’s in the account.

Of course, just like a bank, if a Magical Girl from a certain world finds herself overpowered, she can also choose to ”borrow” for powerful divine power support. However, this means she becomes part of the repayment group, entering a weakened mode after defeating the witch, and the daily faith value contribution increases.

The weakened effect disappears only after ”repayment is completed.”

This system not only ensures the combat power and stability of the Magical Girls but also makes it easier to control. Mischievous acts like those of the three bear children are impossible under Fang Zheng and Red Ponytail’s management; if any naughty kid tried to borrow and cause trouble, her account would be directly shut down, cutting off her cash flow, essentially rendering her powerless.

However, the system does have a risk, which is if all the Magical Girls from all worlds simultaneously encounter an unbeatable presence, massively withdrawing divine power causing a bank run and collapse. Well, Fang Zheng had already considered this kind of scenario and prepared contingency plans.

That said, such extreme situations generally are unlikely, after all, believers of the God of Magical Girls are widespread, including in the Type Moon World, the Magical Girl World where Little Sakura and her friends are, and this Magical Girl World, coupled with the Cursed Children of the Heavenly Dao Palace and the Magical Girl factions in the Main World, along with the influence and faith value from the Third Coordinate Point.

Besides, Fang Zheng also holds the Divine Position of the God of Games. Apart from a portion used to run the ”WOW” virtual reality MMO system, he is saving the rest of the divine power collected in the Game World, and conflicts are unlikely in the Game World, so the divine power collected by the God of Games can also be used as a reserve fund.

Besides, if it really comes down to it, couldn’t we just burn, burn, burn?

Just find a place to burn wood, what’s the big deal?

It’s precisely because of this that the Magical Girls, after renewing the contract, were surprised to find not only had their power not weakened, but it had even become stronger. Moreover, without the Soul Gems, there was no worry about grime accumulation, and the girls could fight freely without having to carefully calculate like before to avoid issues...

”Ah———!”

Suddenly, at this moment, a scream from a girl could be heard not far away, which caused Kohin and the others to be momentarily stunned.

”It’s the aura of a Magical Girl, let’s go and check it out quickly!”

Yachiyo’s face darkened, as she quickly ran towards the source of the sound, the others hurried to follow, and soon, as they turned the corner, they saw a Magical Girl being surrounded by a group of Magical Girls in black cloaks.

”Wait, what are you doing? I have nothing to do with you guys... Ah...!”

However, before the Magical Girl could finish her sentence, the black cloaked individuals attacked her.

”What’s going on?”

Seeing this, Kohin and her team were shocked. They of course knew that these black-cloaked ones were from a Magis lower organization called ”Black Wing,” but usually these Black Wings were well-behaved, and aside from trying to stop them from eliminating rumors, typically both sides kept to themselves.

But what’s happening now?

”No matter what, let’s go help first!”

Seeing that the Magical Girl was about to be overwhelmed, Yachiyo didn’t hesitate, immediately leaping forward, while the others rushed in, quickly separating the Magical Girl from the Black Wing.

”What do you think you are doing? What are you planning to do with her!”

While protecting that magical girl, Yachiyo glared angrily at the Black Wing in front of her, demanding an explanation, but those Black Wings did not respond. Instead, they seemed very off at the moment.

”Ugh... ugh...”

”Miss Yachiyo, why do I feel like these Black Wings seem somewhat abnormal.”

Uneasy, Kohin clenched her hands as she looked at the Black Wings. The feeling they gave her was like mindless beasts trying to destroy everything in front of them. Quickly, with a roar, the Black Wings lunged at Yachiyo and her group!

”You’ve been attacked too?”

Upon hearing the information from Kohin, Red Ponytail frowned.

”Too...?”

”That’s right, I just got messages from Jyushi and others... Anyway, you all should come back now. Tonight seems a bit off.”

After driving away those strange Black Wings, Yachiyo and the others hurried back to Sangatsu Manor. By then, quite a few magical girls were already waiting there, with only one report: Margis’ magical girls suddenly went mad!

They started attacking every magical girl in Kamihama City!

No matter if they joined Red Ponytail’s side or were neutral, as long as they were magical girls, they would be attacked. Fortunately, the magical girls contracted to Red Ponytail mostly operated in groups, so they were somewhat better off. However, the neutral ones suffered, just like the one Yachiyo’s group encountered before. Many neutral magical girls originally thought they could reason with them, but these Black Wings ignored them and attacked, catching them completely off guard.

The neutral magical girls have mostly sought refuge in the adjustment rooms now.

”Those guys are completely like madmen!”

”I feel like zombies...”

”Magical girl zombies? That’s not funny!”

”What on earth does Margis want to do?! Do they want to start a war?!”

For a moment, everyone was abuzz with discussions, unable to fathom Margis’ actions, while Red Ponytail just sat cross-legged on the sofa, listening to the noisy debate. Suddenly, she slammed the table.

”Stop arguing, does arguing help?!”

With the ”bang” from Red Ponytail, everyone immediately quieted down.

”Isn’t Margis asking for war? They want war, we’ll give them war! Besides, this battle was inevitable from the start. Although it’s unclear what’s wrong with those magical girls, that doesn’t matter. Let’s capture a few and study them to find out! Enough talking now, gather everyone, we’re going to fight!”

”Fight... there?”

”That’s right, remember, as magical girls we rely on three things: toughness, loyalty, and numbers! What’s so great about Margis? Do they want to plant their flag in Kamihama City? We’ll yank all their flags and shut them down! Yachiyo, Jyushi, gather people now and drive the Margis group back home, then capture a few for me. I want to see what kind of drug Margis has used on them!”

”Ah... um...”

Faced with Red Ponytail’s call to arms, Yachiyo and Jyushi were bewildered but nodded instinctively.

”Li—Little Hong, why do we feel like gangsters...”

Seeing Red Ponytail’s response, Tsuruno couldn’t help but quip, and Red Ponytail shrugged.

”Is there a problem? Do we differ from gangsters? Claiming territory, capturing witches, isn’t that all gang activities?”

”Uh...”

Listening to Red Ponytail’s words, the girls exchanged glances, a touch of embarrassment on their faces. Indeed, they considered themselves good kids, but classmates generally viewed them as delinquents. After all, magical girls fought witches, so they rarely socialized with peers, and fights with witches were life-or-death battles, making any magical girl a battle-hardened veteran of countless Asura Fields and killings. Without saying a word, their mere presence exuded an aura of menace... no wonder ordinary people kept their distance.

”Remember, in our circles, we must keep promises. If you say you’re going to kill their entire family, then kill their entire family. Margis is bullying us now, so why pretend to be pathetic? Didn’t everyone know we were going to fight a battle? Very well, Margis can’t help but make a move, so we’ll follow suit!”

With that, Red Ponytail waved her small hand forcefully.

”Let’s go, we’re going to show Margis that Kamihama City is ruled by us!”
