Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Looking at the four sleeping people in front of her, Red Ponytail felt utterly speechless.

Felicia was just the beginning. In fact, not only Felicia but Yachiyo, Tsuruno, and Sanae Futaba also had similar psychological issues. This led to their condition being quite poor, you could even say each of them had slipped to their lowest warning level...

”The magical girls in this city need a large-scale psychological rehabilitation treatment.”

Looking at the data on her personal terminal in disbelief, Red Ponytail didn’t know what to say. In the previous Magical Girl World, out of the magical girls that initially made contract, only two or three eventually chose to sleep. Yet, in this world, almost all five magical girls had subconsciously chosen to sleep... Kohin barely managed to pull through, but if this keeps up, the other four might be beyond saving.

Even Tsuruno—Red Ponytail never expected that cheerful little girl to have such a dark side, but now, there really was no other way.

”Kohin.”

Watching Felicia’s mental stats gradually recover, Red Ponytail also breathed a sigh of relief, then she initiated communication.

”Looks like you did a good job, but I still need to trouble you to swing by the Psychic Worlds of Yachiyo, Tsuruno, and Sanae Futaba.”

”Huh... why?”

”These few also seem like they can’t pull through... I think you’re the only one who can persuade them now. Keep it up, girl, I have faith in you.”

”Um... okay, I understand.”

Hearing this, Kohin was quite surprised, but her tone quickly turned resolute, and Red Ponytail whistled, then lay back on the sofa with her hands behind her head, watching the screen in front of her.

But come to think of it, Kohin has a bit of the main character aura going on.

Seeing the four’s emotional stats gradually stabilize, Red Ponytail inwardly chuckled. Although she couldn’t see what was happening in their Psychic Worlds, the stats made it clear they had passed their trials or were in the process of passing them.

This means they trusted Kohin deep down, but in fact, these people hadn’t met Kohin for very long; combined, I’m afraid it hasn’t even been a month yet.

But Kohin could enter their hearts?

Hmm... this reminded Red Ponytail of someone.

If she remembered correctly, Saten Reiko seemed to have a similar attribute level...

Hmm, so it is indeed Mama Tamaki.

Time ticked away, from midnight to morning, then to dusk, and finally back to midnight—eventually, Red Ponytail closed her personal terminal, and at the same time, Kohin slowly opened her eyes.

”Yo, Mama Tamaki, well done taking care of so many children.”

”Ugh... what are you talking about, Little Hong.”

Hearing this, Kohin was visibly upset, and meanwhile, the others gradually woke up too.

”Kohin!”

The newly awakened Felicia and Tsuruno screamed and directly pounced on Kohin, holding her tightly in their arms, crying tears of joy. Not far away, Sanae Futaba watched quietly, showing a gentle smile. Yachiyo didn’t say anything, but her gaze towards Kohin was also warm and reassuring.

Oh, oh, oh, everyone successfully wooed, huh.

Seeing this, Red Ponytail chuckled to herself.

What a pity, you all came too late. You should know, Kohin’s first kiss wasn’t you all, it was me, Red Ponytail!

Wahahahahaha!

”Alright, you all must be hungry. Let’s eat, and then after we’ll discuss what comes next.”

Swallowing back this line, Red Ponytail said with a cheerful smile, although she also wanted to just hold Kohin and kiss her in front of everyone, that would be too dull, right? Think about it, a room full of people secretly in love with Kohin, while silently accepting her flagellation, this feeling... hmm, truly exciting!

Of course, the others didn’t know what Red Ponytail was thinking, but once awake, they immediately realized how hungry they were and hurried to the dining table.

And what followed, naturally, was a grand feast.

When everyone tidied up the dishes and returned to the living room, it was already evening. Though they sat in the same positions as before, the atmosphere had visibly changed; everyone seemed significantly more relaxed, as if they had shrugged off an invisible burden.

Sanae and Yachiyo quietly served tea to everyone, and Kohin finally started talking about her memories.

”I’ve remembered everything, about Yuu, and Yumem and Toka... Yuu was unwell from her childhood, always hospitalized at Satomi Medical Center, and Toka and Yumem were her roommates. The three were very good friends, and I frequently visited Yuu, so I got to know them very well...”

At this point, Kohin seemed to fall into reminiscence.

”...They, like Yuu, spent almost every day in the hospital ward. To them, the outside world was a mystery they couldn’t fathom. So whenever I visited Yuu, I’d talk to them about the outside world... I didn’t have much to say myself, but everyone listened with great interest. Then, one day Toka brought a map of Kamihama City and asked me to stick photos on it, so they could know what the buildings on the map looked like. I did as they asked, and looking at the map and photos, they felt as though they had left the hospital and were happily wandering the streets...”

”And then?”

Tsuruno stared at Kohin, and Kohin lowered her head.

”Later, the whole map gradually got filled, but they thought of a new way to play.”

”A new way?”

”Yes...”

At this point, Kohin’s voice turned somewhat somber.

”We started creating a brand new world.”

”A brand new... world? What does it mean?”

Felicia tilted her head in confusion.

”It’s an imagined world. Everyone can’t leave the ward, but they can imagine brand new stories based on the markers on those maps, which means...”

Upon hearing this, a serious expression flashed in Yachiyo’s eyes.

”Rumors?”

”Yes.”

Kohin nodded.

”I remembered, Word Spirit Shrine, Breakup Stairs, Alone’s End, these rumors were actually created by Yumem, Toka, Uwasa, and me together. We created various rumors based on the landmarks on the map and the hidden stories behind them. The Breakup Stairs was a rumor Uwasa thought of because Yumem and Toka always argued and kept saying they would break up, so to teach them a lesson, Uwasa created the Breakup Stairs rumor. The Word Spirit Shrine was a rumor Yumem created. That kid loves literature and has a strong sense of feeling, so she created a Word Spirit Shrine. As for Alone’s End, it was created by Toka. Since Yumem always likes to be alone, Toka chose the Radio Tower as the place to create such a rumor to mock her...”

Everyone was stunned by Kohin’s description.

”Wait a minute, wait a minute!”

Tsuruno shook her hands vigorously.

”But... but this was just a game, right, Kohin? A game you and your sister and her friends played?”

”That’s right, just a game. Pointing to places on the map and imagining what rumors might be there... it was just an entertainment game for the three kids and me who couldn’t leave. To be honest, before this, I couldn’t even recall all of it. Just like my sister’s memory, it seems I have forgotten these memories as well...”

”So now, Kohin, do you know why you lost memories about your sister?”

”I still have no clue.”

To Felicia’s inquiry, Kohin shook her head.

”Even in my memories, I recall very clearly, my sister’s condition worsened, I was very worried, seeing her struggling in pain, I went to the hospital roof and wished to QB to cure my sister’s illness and become a Magical Girl — then my sister recovered and was discharged safely. And then... suddenly one day, when I woke up, my sister was gone. It wasn’t just that she disappeared so simply, photos, furniture, memories, everything was gone... and I was completely oblivious...”

”Then, could it be that your sister also became a Magical Girl?”

Yachiyo proposed her own idea.

”If she became a Magical Girl, then it wouldn’t be surprising to do such things.”

”But, what could Uwasa wish for?”

Kohin’s expression looked painful.

”Could Uwasa have wanted to disappear from my life forever?”

”This...”

Facing Kohin’s question, everyone looked at each other, and at this moment, suddenly a voice spoke up.

”Excuse me, the Yumem you were talking about... is it Hiiragi Yumem?”

”Eh?”

Upon hearing this, everyone turned their heads in surprise, only to see it was the Magical Girl Sanae Futaba, who was previously saved by Kohin from the ”Alone’s End” rumor, speaking.

”Do you know her, Sanae?!”

”I don’t know her.”

Facing Kohin’s inquiry, Sanae shook her head in panic.

”But I know Margis previously used a space created by that rumor to nurture Witches. At that time, I heard them talking about Hiiragi Yumem...”

”You mean, Yumem also joined Margis? Then... could Toka have joined too?”

”That... I don’t know.”

”Alright, continuing to think here won’t help us.”

At this moment, Red Ponytail stood up, breaking the silence.

”Based on the current situation, Kohin’s sister and her two friends are likely related to this matter, and my power has mostly recovered. In that case... why don’t we just go and see for ourselves!”

”Go and see? Go where?”

Kohin looked at Red Ponytail in confusion, and Red Ponytail gave a cheeky smile.

”Of course, we go to Satomi Medical Center — Time will tell us the answer.”
