Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Looking at the scene in front of them, Yachiyo and the others felt as if they were dreaming.

So much so that Yachiyo even started pondering a deeply philosophical question — why is there such a significant difference between people?

Just like now, although EVE was knocked down to the ground, those familiar spirits still gathered around it. By all means, dealing with these familiar spirits should take quite an effort from Yachiyo and the others. However, the magical girls flying around in the sky didn’t need to bother at all. Their fighting style was completely different from what Yachiyo had imagined.

Yachiyo saw a little girl with chestnut twin ponytails raising her magic staff aimed at the ground, then a light beam descended from the sky, sweeping across the entire battlefield. Wherever it went, those familiar spirits instantly turned to dust, faster than cleaning a room with a vacuum cleaner.

And that little girl with brown skin, standing on the city wall looking like a human turret, shot arrows one after another and in the distance explosions quickly emerged like a barrage of mortar shells, enveloping the entire battlefield.

This was completely different from the magical girl fighting style Yachiyo was familiar with.

Right now, Yachiyo and the others just felt like soldiers from the First World War, time-traveling onto a battlefield of World War Three — holding flintlock guns and trembling at the sight of drones swarming the sky, missiles and nukes raining down.

Feel like we’re not even from the same era!?

”Alright, let’s get to EVE and save Little Youu first.”

”Ah, mm......”

Upon hearing the command from the red ponytail, the girls nodded, then jumped off the city wall, running towards the downed EVE.

”What do you think you’re doing!”

Meanwhile, Toka, Yumem, and Elina appeared before everyone, and Toka showed an exasperated expression as she looked at the red ponytail.

”Do you really think you can stop all of this?”

”We’ve never thought, we just know we can... forget it, I don’t have time to discuss this with you kids, I’ll spank you later......”

The red ponytail shook her head, then turned around and continued toward EVE with Kohin and the others. Seeing this, Toka angrily raised her parasol.

”Stop right there, you...!”

However, before Toka finished speaking, she saw a flash of light swiftly pass by her side, followed by Illya in a purple robe wielding a magic wand, standing in front of Toka. On the other side, Yoshino standing on a rabbit blocked Yumem’s path, and Hana holding two guns blocked Elina’s way.

We’re all magical girls, who fears whom?

”Youu!!”

Arriving at EVE’s side, Kohin couldn’t help but shout, and everyone clearly saw that inside the bright red square gemstone on EVE’s chest, a girl was sleeping. However, having endured two rounds of burst magic attacks, the gemstone was already scarred... well, it was lucky enough not to shatter immediately.

As for the others, looking at the battered EVE, they could only gasp.

”Are magical girls from other worlds this terrifying?”

”If we had such power, what witch would we fear?!”

”Tell me, with such power, what kind of enemies do they face?”

”................”

Upon hearing this, the girls fell silent.

”Youu, Youu, can you hear my voice?!”

Kohin rushed to the ruby and called her sister’s name, yet Youu remained unresponsive with her eyes closed.

”Little Hong, what should we do now?”

”I’ll release the seal.”

The red ponytail quickly provided an answer.

”This EVE is the product of contamination materialized that Youu collected, I need to separate it from Youu, like performing surgery to cut off the proliferating parts. The moment I separate it from Youu, I want you to pull Youu out immediately. Remember, speed is crucial, or else the contamination might increase again making it all for nothing!”

”Okay, I got it!”

After listening to the red ponytail’s explanation, Kohin nodded forcefully. Then the red ponytail quickly summoned a bright red greatsword and raised it high.

”Then get ready — three, two, one!”

The flaming blade soared up and swept down, completely shattering the ruby in front. With a ”bang,” the burst ruby was swiftly incinerated by the flames, while the girl originally bound within the gemstone swayed and collapsed.

”Youu—————!”

Kohin was entirely prepared at this moment; as the ruby shattered, she leapt forward like an arrow off the string, clutching her younger sister tightly in her arms and landing on the ground.

At this moment, Little Youu’s body felt cold, like a statue to the touch, and Kohin felt as if her own blood was freezing as she sensed her sister’s ice-cold, rigid form in her embrace.

”Little Hong, Youu she......”

”That’s how it is with time frozen, don’t worry, I’ll take another look.”

The red ponytail walked to Youu’s side and carefully inspected her again.

”Hmm... in a way, it’s quite fortunate, it can be undone......”

As she spoke, the red ponytail reached out, gently patting Youu. Soon, the girl’s body, previously stiff as stone, began softening, and her cold body quickly regained warmth. Seeing this, Kohin hugged her sister tightly, calling out her name.

”Youu... Youu...!”

In Kohin’s calls, Youu gradually opened her eyes and looked at Kohin.

”Sister......”

”Youu......”

Hearing her sister’s voice, Kohin happily embraced Youu, and seeing this scene, the others also breathed a sigh of relief. Only Yachiyo approached the red ponytail and softly asked a question.

”Is everything really alright?”

It’s not surprising that Yachiyo has such concerns. She also saw that scene through Time Retrospection. At that time, Youu couldn’t control her own power and ended up being overwhelmed and collapsing by the massive corruption. Now, she’s particularly worried that Youu will repeat that scene after waking up.

”Don’t worry, that’s not an issue.”

However, Red Ponytail just shrugged her shoulders and shook her head.

”What I have stopped is Youu’s soul, not her powers. In fact, it’s thanks to that big moth. It materialized the corruption that Youu collected, and now it has already passed the initial overload period. As long as we proceed with the contract transformation, it’ll be fine.”

”Sister Dear!”

Just as Kohin helped Youu up, accompanied by a shout, Toka and Yumem descended from the sky and landed beside them. However, at this moment, the two girls had lost their previous imposing demeanor and appeared somewhat anxious and timid.

”Um, I......”

”I’m sorry......”

The two bowed their heads and apologized to Kohin and Youu. As Red Ponytail removed Little Youu’s time freeze, the world’s causality reset, allowing Toka and Yumem to recall the memories they originally lacked. Because of that, now they simply feel......

Regret, just pure regret.

They became Magical Girls to save Sister Dear, yet they ended up being hostile to her and even wanted to kill her. Not only that, but they also used their best friends as tools...... Just thinking about it now gives them the urge to apologize with death.

”This...I don’t really mind, but...”

Looking at the two, Kohin couldn’t say much. Although frankly, she really wanted to forgive them. After all, Kohin herself is soft-hearted and kind, seeing Toka and Yumem regain their memories, she’s too happy to care about their previous attempt on her life as a ”trivial matter”.

However, Red Ponytail’s attitude was different from hers.

”Little Hong......?”

Kohin recalled how Red Ponytail had bound Mami Tomoe’s soul within Frostmourne before. Now, she looked towards Red Ponytail with a pleading gaze, hoping she would be lenient and not too harsh in punishing them.

”I said before, the death penalty can be spared, but living sins are inescapable.”

Red Ponytail waved her hand and then looked at the gigantic creature behind her.

”Let’s deal with the problem at hand and then take down the Witch’s Night.”

Having lost Youu, the core of EVE composed of corruption was evidently starting to lose control. But for Red Ponytail, this was naturally not an issue; she could just burn it down. As for the Witch’s Night, Nanoha and Little Sakura were already holding it off. After fighting once before, these girls easily attracted its hostility and boldly started the BOSS fight with the Witch’s Night.

For now, everything was fine.

”Alright, I understand. Now, we need to immediately break EVE and eliminate it.”

Toka nodded strongly and then turned to Elina on the other side.

”Elina, could you please remove the membrane surrounding Kamihama City?”

”............”

However, in response to Toka’s request, Elina remained silent.

”......Elina?”

”No.”

”What?”

Hearing this answer, everyone present was stunned.

”Elina, are you joking?”

Toka looked at Elina in disbelief, while next to her, Yumem frowned.

”If we leave it like this, it will become a playground for EVE. What are you thinking?”

”Hehehe........”

Facing their inquiries, Elina let out a peculiar laugh.

”Before this, Elina had already contained the membrane, so EVE’s body wouldn’t collapse......”

”What?”

Upon hearing that, both were shocked.

”Doing this, EVE will gradually stabilize. What are you thinking?”

”Actually, the liberation of Magical Girls was never Elina’s concern.”

Elina laughed as she looked at everyone.

”What Elina hopes for is simply the most perfect art, and now, it’s time to complete this masterpiece!”

With a shout, Elina’s figure transformed once again, into a shape similar to Mami Tomoe’s.

”In this case, Elina will merge with EVE, warming this world and taking away all life. Ahahahaha!!!”

”Elina, you......!!”

”I knew it would be like this.”

Red Ponytail pulled back Toka, who tried to rush forward.

”Alright, leave this to me. The death penalty can be spared but living sins are inescapable, that was meant for you two. For someone like this who already narrow their way from the beginning, I have no intention of sparing her life.”

As she spoke, Red Ponytail raised her right hand, once again summoning Frostmourne.

”You all go handle the Witch’s Night, as for this sinner, let me execute the punishment ——— Are you ready to embrace death, Elina Gray?”
