Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The reason why Red Ponytail did this is also very clear.

”My master is the God of Magical Girls, and the more people who sign contracts to become magical girls, the stronger he will become, and I will also become stronger. Now the entire Kamihama City is isolated, so we must enhance our power here, only then will my master and I become stronger.”

”......”

Hearing the introduction from Red Ponytail, the girls looked bewildered.

”Faith? Are we supposed to go to church for worship?”

Tsuruno tilted her head in confusion, while Red Ponytail shook her head.

”Of course not, listen carefully, don’t treat my master like those scammers in churches selling songs—let’s put it this way, if you compare magical girls to a race, then my master is the guardian god of that race... Do you understand what I mean? As long as you are still magical girls, you will be under my master’s protection, no need to recite any spell texts, no need to worship or engage in ceremonies, just live your life as usual, how about it? It’s very simple, right?”

”Eh? Is that really all there is to it?”

Felicia widened her eyes in surprise.

”I’ve heard those followers need to give money and effort...”

”My master is not a scammer, doesn’t need a church, nor does he need any priest to help spread the faith, what would he need money for? As for effort... if there are any situations that threaten magical girls, my master will step in, like now, I’m here, right?”

Speaking here, Red Ponytail slapped the table.

”Do you understand what I mean? Now we need to recruit more magical girls, have them re-contract... Uh, I’ll be responsible for re-contracting, only by doing this can the strength be enhanced, and at the same time, we can bring some magical girls who have gone astray back from Margis. In short, this is also a choice, but it depends on how they choose.”

”But combat is inevitable, right.”

Yachiyo crossed her arms, staring at Red Ponytail, and Red Ponytail nodded.

”Of course, we want Margis to know that there can only be one Haonan in Causeway Bay, and that’s me, Chen Haonan!”

”......?”

”Ahem... I misspoke...”

Noticing the puzzled looks from the girls, Red Ponytail blushed.

”Anyway, we start with the Central District, you can find everyone and tell them there’s important information related to magical girls to inform—Margis uses this trick to entice and scare magical girls to come, but ultimately they are just peddlers, treating the symptoms not the cause, but we are treating the cause! In any case, tell them to come to Sangatsu Manor for a gathering, the time is set for tomorrow afternoon, now you all go find them... Try to inform every magical girl, I’ll explain, got it?”

”Got it.”

Hearing this, the girls nodded and stood up, while Red Ponytail also waved her hand.

”Then, let’s go!”

Of course, gathering magical girls is not a simple matter, although Kamihama City gathered many magical girls, they rarely interact with each other. They all form small teams to act, relatively speaking, as the leader of the Eastern District magical girls ”Sangatsu Group”, Yachiyo knows more people, she is after all a boss of the Eastern District, renowned in the Jianghu. Next are Tsuruno and Felicia, the former dares to openly display the ”Magical Girl Discount Day” sign in her store, which says a lot, while the latter as a mercenary often gets employed by other magical girls.

It’s just that due to Felicia’s personality all along, she doesn’t have many magical girls who get along well with her...

As for Red Ponytail and Kohin, they stay at home on standby.

In fact, Yachiyo’s influence is quite reliable.

Early the next morning, before the agreed time, some magical girls showed up—and it was none other than the very familiar trio.

Taozi, Rena, and Feng.

”Yo, long time no see.”

Looking at the three magical girls, Red Ponytail waved smilingly, and the three greeted her back, then Taozi came to Red Ponytail’s side, and carefully looked her up and down.

”Although Yachiyo already told me, but... I really didn’t expect you to have this kind of identity...”

”Hm? You don’t seem to doubt Yachiyo’s words?”

”Because I was once her companion.”

Taozi smiled wryly.

”In fact, I used to team up with Tsuruno and Yachiyo, but one day out of the blue, Yachiyo suddenly announced the disbandment... the specific reason, I don’t know until now. But looking at Yachiyo now, it seems the issue is resolved.”

”This is really surprising.”

Getting unexpected information, Red Ponytail was somewhat astonished, while Taozi smiled wryly with her and chatted a few words, then took Rena and Feng into the manor.

However, soon after, an unexpected visitor arrived.

”Who’s this?”

Seeing the girl brought over by Yachiyo, Red Ponytail asked in confusion, and Yachiyo nodded.

”This is Izumi Jushiya, the leader of the Western District magical girls.”

Oh, turns out she’s the boss of the Western District.

”Hello, I’m Red Ponytail.”

As she spoke, Red Ponytail cheerfully extended her hand and shook hands with the girl named Jyushi.

”Hello, I’m Izumi Jushiya, nice to meet you for the first time.”

Holding Red Ponytail’s hand, Jushiya stared at her, and then a golden light suddenly flashed in her eyes, causing Jushiya’s expression to change abruptly.

”Hahaha, trying to see through my heart? It’s impossible with your power, give it up.”

Compared to the visibly shaken Jushiya, Red Ponytail appeared quite calm. In fact, when they shook hands earlier, she felt Jushiya trying to see through her heart. However... a Magical Girl is still just a Magical Girl, far inferior to a Divine Envoy.

”I see, it is indeed a very powerful force.”

Jushiya let go of the hand and stared at Red Ponytail.

”If I hadn’t seen Yachiyo transform with my own eyes, I wouldn’t have believed a Magical Girl like this could exist...”

”Regarding these questions, I will answer them in class later, I’ll explain in detail then.”

Red Ponytail waved her hand cheerfully, while Jushiya silently watched her for a while, nodded, and turned to leave.

As time passed by the minute, more and more Magical Girls gathered here, making even Kohin and her friends a bit nervous.

”So many people...”

Hiding on the side, watching the garden behind them, Kohin couldn’t help but sweat a bit. So many Magical Girls gathered here that the apartment couldn’t hold them, but fortunately, Yachiyo had prepared in advance by arranging a buffet-style setup in the apartment’s backyard. Since the Magical Girls didn’t mind, the scene was bustling and decent.

”Thirty, forty, fifty, sixty... wow, a total of eighty-two, almost a hundred!”

After counting the number of Magical Girls in the field carefully, Kohin was amazed. After all, gathering so many Magical Girls together is an almost unimaginable situation.

”Those over there were called by Yachiyo, those here were called by Jushiya from the Western District... and the remaining ones... should be Magical Girls of Margis.”

Looking at a group of Magical Girls standing quietly in the corner, different from the others, Tsuruno whispered.

”I had seen one of them before. She once tried to persuade me to join Margis.”

”Then it’s your turn to persuade her now. Mutual persuasion, huh, hehe.”

Red Ponytail chuckled, then took a quick leap forward to greet everyone, vigorously waving her hand. Seeing Red Ponytail appear, the Magical Girls who were originally chatting with each other quieted down.

”Ahem, hello everyone, I am the Magical Girl of justice, Red Ponytail. Thank you all very much for coming to this gathering. Although I should, according to the norm, give a fifteen-minute opening speech, I think no one wants to waste time, so... let’s start directly!

While speaking, Red Ponytail pressed her personal terminal, and soon, a large screen appeared out of thin air in front of everyone.

”Next, please listen carefully. This is about the fate of the Magical Girls in this world!”

Then, Red Ponytail told them everything without reservation—the mission and ending of the QB clan, the fate of the Magical Girls, transformations of power, defilement, the witchization, as well as the existence and actions of Margis. She also explained their own actions... After hearing all this, almost all the Magical Girls were left with their mouths agape, completely unable to believe what they heard.

”So, does anyone have any questions?”

After finishing with the video, Red Ponytail smiled as she looked at everyone and asked. At this point, Rena started to ask in confusion.

”...What question... by the way, is everything you said true?”

”Consider it true when you hear it, anyway, it’s not false. Furthermore, this is the fate that all of you will have to face.”

”But this is so unreasonable!”

Rena contemplated repeatedly, still feeling that something was off.

”According to what you said, for the God of Magical Girls... becoming a Magical Girl requires going through a trial, but why do ordinary people mostly fail the trial, and we fall into slumber if we fail the contract?”

”Because it’s your choice.”

Red Ponytail continued to smile.

”You made a wish, you fulfilled your wish. However, that wish was supposed to be achieved through your own efforts. But now, you chose a shortcut—and there are no shortcuts in this world. You chose a shortcut, so you must pay the price. Equivalent exchange. Only then will the reversal of consequences reset. Consider it as the consequence you must face for obtaining this power.”

”Ugh...”

Upon hearing this, Rena’s expression changed several times, but eventually, she said no more.

”Self-sacrifice or the sacrifice of others... This really isn’t a simple choice.”

At this point, Jushiya was also stroking her chin in thought. Red Ponytail had made her methods and Margis’s methods clear and explained the consequences meticulously. Red Ponytail’s re-contract could solve the Magical Girl witchization issue once and for all, but one must be prepared for failure in the trial, leading to endless sleep.

Margis, however, could release defilement through half-witch transformation, achieving the same effect of solving the witchization of Magical Girls. Yet, they need to use rumors to attract innocent victims, exploiting their emotions and energy to absorb and strengthen...

Simply put, there’s a potential for self-sacrifice, and definitely a necessity for sacrificing others... For every Magical Girl present, this is not an easy choice.
