Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

And so, a war unfolds at the microscopic level.

Fang Zheng manipulated the Aliens, attempting to infect the creatures opposite him, while also resisting the infection from them. He soon realized the difference between the two sides.

The Aliens’ infection is a simple, brutal, and direct mode; they do not require a host. Thus, after injecting swarm cells, they cause the attacked to fall into a coma or sleep, rapidly laying eggs after eliminating resistance, then insanely absorbing body energy, spreading and growing like cancer cells, finally bursting out from the chest, becoming a new individual that has absorbed the original biological genes.

However, the way these creatures operate is not like this at all. At first glance, it seems there is nothing special about them, but the biological tissues within the Alien’s body emit a peculiar psionic wave that attempts to distort the host’s will. In other words, the host attacked by these creatures does not die quickly like those attacked by Aliens but gradually changes their will, being twisted into part of this species.

If the Aliens’ method of transformation belongs to science, then this one definitely has a bit of the taste of magic.

But... dealing with this kind of thing, Fang Zheng naturally has a method.

”Hmph!”

With a cold snort, soon, a torrent of divine power surged forth, transforming into flames circulating within the Alien’s body, quickly incinerating the injected cells and the psionic wave completely. However, immediately afterward, Fang Zheng’s thoughts blended with a torrent of flames, directly entering the creature’s body, swiftly seizing its psionic core.

Soon, a massive network appeared before Fang Zheng’s eyes.

An infinite, gigantic network.

It transformed into countless tentacles, emerging from the pitch-black depths of the universe, reaching towards the Milky Way. Upon closer inspection, these so-called ”tentacles” are in fact a massive army composed of fleets of these creatures. And in the depths of those tentacles, Fang Zheng sensed... a vast will.

This is not the existence of a single will, but a collective of countless wills, manipulating these tentacles slowly reaching towards the Milky Way, as if intending to devour the entire galaxy...

And the moment Fang Zheng entered this network, he immediately felt locked onto by a gaze.

”Who... dares to spy on the Swarm?”

”Who is it?”

”Who?!”

It was a voice, yet seemed like countless billions of creatures speaking in harmony, carrying a boundless, unimaginably cruel and cold tone. Accompanied by this voice, Fang Zheng could feel a powerful psychic power following the psionic network, rushing towards him.

However... What are you looking at?!

”I am the Swarm!”

Fang Zheng suddenly raised his voice. At this moment, behind him, the psychic gathering of countless swarms from numerous worlds coalesced into equally powerful psychic power, directly blasting towards the opposite side.

The two equally vast psychic powers collided like a tidal wave overshadowing the sky.

At that moment, even the universe seemed to tremble. The invisible psychic storm erupted almost like the previous chaos wave, then Fang Zheng felt the psychic network jolt and then... disconnected.

”Pfft!”

The creature before him exploded simultaneously when the psychic network disconnected, clearly its small frame could not withstand the psychic collision between two similarly infinite species. It’s even said that neither side’s psychic power truly dueled; merely the prelude played just one note before it went off the line.

However, for Fang Zheng, even in this instant, he had already obtained enough information.

”Hmph!”

Retreating from the Alien’s form, Fang Zheng narrowed his eyes, his expression grim.

Two swarms cannot coexist in one mountain, this universe can and must only have one swarm!

And that is me, Chen Haonan!

At this moment, Fang Zheng knew that between him and this bizarre invader, there was only one path: live or die.

Not long after, the battle on planet Tandania ended.

Perhaps due to the confusion caused by the psychic storm resulting from Fang Zheng’s clash with the Hive Mind, the creatures on Tandania’s surface quickly lost command and were utterly exterminated by the little girls. The invading fleet in space was also completely annihilated. Although Tandania suffered severe damage, for now, the losses were still within an acceptable range.

However, other places were evidently not so lucky.

Just a glance at Darth Vader, who fled to Tandania on a fighter, revealed that the battle conditions in those places were far from pleasant.

Indeed, relying on the news from Darth Vader, every planet they defended was overrun by this creature legion, without exception. But since Darth Vader is counted as the second-in-command of the Galactic Empire, though unable to hold the planets, upon discovering the traits of these creatures, he decisively decided to use a Star Destroyer to directly obliterate these planets to delay the invaders’ advance.

Hearing this, even Fang Zheng couldn’t help but give a thumbs-up.

As expected of Darth Vader, truly amazing, knowing what’s the best approach to deal with these guys.

Thus, it’s during times like these that one still has to rely on the Galactic Empire, switching to those Rebel Army idiots, who knows what they’d turn into.

As a result, the advance of the invading army slowed down, allowing Darth Vader to manage to escape with those remnants, otherwise, he might have never been able to escape at all.

Upon arriving on Tandania, Darth Vader immediately convened everyone to discuss the current state of affairs.

”I’ve never seen an enemy like this before.”

Darth Vader’s voice remained low but carried a trace of fear.

”They seem endless, no matter how many we kill, we simply can’t withstand their onslaught. Not only that, those bastards seem to evolve on the spot---our weapons initially caused them some damage, but soon, they evolved adaptations specifically to counteract our weapons, damn, where the hell did these creatures come from!?”

”I don’t know where they come from either, but I can be sure that these guys have been entrenched within your Galactic Empire for some time now.”

”What do you mean?”

Upon hearing this, Darth Vader looked at Fang Zheng, while Luke hurriedly spoke up.

”Father, after the army in Tandania was annihilated, we inspected these enemies and discovered some issues that we had never expected before. Look at this...”

As he spoke, Luke opened up the screen.

”This is what we found among the enemy corpses. Initially, we thought they were some kind of Alien, but we couldn’t find their species in the Empire’s records. Moreover, these creatures have their own nests, and we even discovered that in the depths of Tandania’s jungles, they have a base resembling a cult organization!”

”Is there such a thing?!”

Hearing this, Darth Vader couldn’t remain calm. If you said that the opposition suddenly launched an invasion, that would be understandable. But to think they had built a cult in Tandania... this is not something that can be achieved in just a couple of days, or even a year or two.

”Indeed, it seems they are disguising themselves as some kind of cult spreading belief to take action...”

”Not only that, but we also discovered another issue.”

At this moment, Fang Zheng interjected.

”These creatures have a very strong infectious ability. They can inject something similar to eggs into the victim’s body, allowing it to grow and produce offspring.”

”Offspring?”

”Yes.”

Recalling the information he had obtained from the Psychic Network, Fang Zheng provided an explanation.

”For instance, humans initially give birth to a Half-Blood Species of themselves and these creatures. The initial hybrids resemble the Creature more than humans, but as they evolve, they become more like humans. Eventually, in appearance, they are indistinguishable from humans. More importantly...”

Fang Zheng lowered his voice.

”From our investigation, it appears that this Creature possesses a Mental Manipulation ability. It can gradually distort the will of those it infects, making them automatically and unconsciously consider themselves as part of them, serving them, much like brainwashing.”

”Moreover, Father.”

At this moment, Luke also spoke with a grim expression.

”After this battle, we conducted a special investigation and discovered that... they had even infiltrated the administrative core and various positions of Tandania, and some Half-Blood Species of the Creatures had even joined the Army!”

”..........”

Darth Vader remained silent, but from his heavy breathing, it was clear that he was not in a good mood.

”Is there no way to identify them?”

”If they are the complete version of the hybrids, it’s probably very hard to identify them from appearance alone; it would require genetic screening... yes, that’s about how it is.”

Fang Zheng coughed at this point. In fact, Nymph had given him a simpler and more convenient suggestion, which was that she could create a targeted biochemical weapon against the genetic sequence of that Creature species, eliminating only those with the Creature genes — naturally, this suggestion was once again rejected by Fang Zheng.

Speaking of which, Little Angel, when will you stop thinking about your Weapons of Mass Genetic Destruction...

”I see... it seems we have to come up with some other ways to deal with these Creatures. Do their cults have any distinctive traits?”

”Currently, we only know that this symbol is related to them.”

Luke took out a flag with a bizarre emblem and a twisted snake shape.

Upon seeing it, Eiriri was taken aback.

”Hmm? I think I’ve seen a similar symbol somewhere.”

”Really?”

”Where?”

Hearing this, both Luke and Fang Zheng couldn’t sit still, especially the latter — could these bastards have gone to the Main World or the Heavenly Dao Palace?

”Hmm... let me think...”

Faced with everyone’s inquiries, Eiriri pondered for a moment, then suddenly lit up.

”Ah, right, in Roxanne, I saw something similar on a wall in a bar, and I thought it was some Alien civilization’s belief, so I took a picture.”

As she spoke, Eiriri opened her personal terminal and searched for a moment.

”Ah, this is it.”

Soon, Eiriri displayed the photo, and as expected, everyone immediately saw an image of a bar. On one of its walls hung a symbol very similar to the flag Luke held. Although the central design was different, it also used a twisted snake as a design feature.

”Is this in Roxanne? Where?!”

At this point, even Darth Vader stood up.

”Hmm... let me see, it’s called Douma Bar?”

”I understand. I’ll send someone to investigate right away!”

At this moment, Darth Vader spoke with a heavy tone, knowing that Roxanne is the capital of the Galactic Empire, the heart of the Milky Way, and these Creatures had already reached right under their noses?!

This cannot be tolerated!
