Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

What the hell are these damned creatures?

Wielding his lightsaber, Luke sliced down a bug that pounced at him, feeling a surge of fear. He had come to Tandania in place of his father, mainly to observe the combat methods of the Heavenly Dao Palace. However, Luke did not expect the supposedly safe surface to become the first battlefield.

These bizarre creatures charged from all directions, killing anyone they saw. Through the Primordial Force, Luke sensed the cold and boiling murderous intent in the minds of these seething bugs. They just yearned to kill everything, annihilate everything, devour everything......

These creatures!

”Retreat, tighten defenses, protect the people entering the shelters!”

The best Luke could do right now was to fend off the bug invasion and evacuate residents. However, even then, he felt somewhat helpless. The urban construction of the Galactic Empire obviously didn’t consider such a situation, and these creatures had clearly been hiding on this planet for a long time. When they burst out from the sewers, deserted underground areas, and highways, they immediately caused massive chaos.

Moreover, these creatures were incredibly powerful in combat.

Having been a member of the Resistance Army, Luke knew well how formidable the Imperial Forces and stormtroopers were. Yet, in the face of these creatures, those once-invincible stormtroopers appeared as fragile as lambs. Their combat will remained strong, but the two sides were on entirely different levels.

Luke witnessed firsthand how the stormtroopers’ rifles failed to inflict any harm on the creatures. In contrast, the creatures blatantly ignored their armor, tearing it apart with ease. The armor, once the pinnacle of Galactic Empire technology, was as flimsy as paper.

Only the defensive turrets managed to somewhat slow the attackers’ advance, but their overall effectiveness was questionable.

What terrified Luke even more was that the Primordial Force had almost no effect on these creatures!

Yes, as a Jedi Knight, Luke had received Primordial Force training from Palpatine and his father. He could now perform feats similar to Darth Vader’s ”Grip of Death” or blow enemies away. Yet, against these odd creatures, his powers were utterly ineffective, or even if they did work, the effects were negligible......

Luckily, his lightsaber still provided Luke with some sense of security.

After taking down another creature, Luke grabbed a stormtrooper beside him and roared loudly.

”Go ask the command center if they’ve contacted the Heavenly Dao Palace. We need support!”

”Yes!”

As the stormtrooper turned to leave, Luke sighed, gripping his lightsaber tightly again. With the appearance of these creatures, all communication signals were cut off. They couldn’t connect with the outside world, and even internal communications became extremely difficult. As a result, Luke had to abandon the original wireless communication in favor of the oldest communication method — manpower.

”Gaah......!”

Just then, another creature suddenly leaped in front of Luke, opening its bloody maw and lunging at him. Luke swiftly swung his lightsaber, slashing it in half.

However, this was of no use.

Luke looked up, scanning the surroundings. He stood on the plaza outside the city hall, where only a few hundred stormtroopers were still battling fiercely on the steps below, amid a sea of corpses — soldiers’, creatures’, and aliens’ of other races.

At the same time, suddenly, Luke noticed something writhing beneath those corpses. Soon, he saw things resembling large-headed tadpoles shooting out from the ground, charging toward the soldiers. The stormtroopers also noticed these creatures and hastily fired upon them. Upon being hit, these large-headed creatures suddenly stood upright, causing the spheres on their tops to swell rapidly.

”No, not good!”

Witnessing this, Luke was shocked, but before he could speak, those large-headed creatures exploded.

”Boom—————!!”

The blast wave knocked Luke to the ground, and green blood splattered everywhere, evoking nausea. The stormtroopers in the direct path of the explosion were blown apart, unrecognizable.

”Cough...cough...”

Luke raised his head to view the devastation around him. The scene looked as if it had been bombarded. Most of the soldiers were down, and from the surrounding streets, creatures began to emerge slowly, heading toward the city hall. Meanwhile, Luke’s lightsaber was missing, seemingly blown away in the explosion.

Am I doomed?

As Luke gritted his teeth, struggling to get up, his ears detected a faint whistling sound.

When Luke looked up, he saw blazing lights descending from the sky.

”—————Boom!!!”

Flames shot up into the sky, the ground trembled and cracked. Luke raised his head and saw that what had crashed onto the ground were strange objects, each resembling a long black rectangular cylinder—well, calling them armored coffins wasn’t completely wrong.

What are these things?

Luke had never seen such things in the Imperial Forces, yet just as his mind was filled with confusion, those pitch-black iron coffins’ initially tightly shut doors crashed to the ground with a ”boom,” and then dozens of figures dressed in silver-white armor, right hands gripping greatswords and left hands holding daggers, emerged as if they were medieval knights.

”Undead Squad Knights, listen up!”

Raphtalia swung the greatsword in her hand forcefully.

”Activate flame mode, prepare for battle!”

”Hwah!”

With Raphtalia’s command, those dozens of knights in silver-white armor uniformly raised their greatswords, then suddenly swung towards their sides. The originally pitch-black greatswords in their hands began to glow faintly with flame. The bright red flames spread along the sword blades, soon merging with the black greatswords.

”Charge!!”

The silver-white figures instantly launched forward, charging directly at the creatures ahead. Seeing this, Luke’s mouth dropped open in shock, staring dumbfounded at these sudden reinforcements. He knew just how powerful those creatures were, yet these strange beings were charging right at them—isn’t this just throwing lives away?!

”Wait a minute, they...!”

Luke hastily stood up to shout a warning, but the scene he saw next made him swallow his words involuntarily.

”Roar———!”

The creatures roared and leapt forward, lunging at the knights ahead. However, the knights’ steps did not falter at all. They advanced in perfect harmony, raising their greatswords uniformly, then...

”Take stance, raise swords———swing!!”

Under the command of the girl leading them, Luke saw the knights, like robots, swing their greatswords in unison at the creatures ahead, though the creatures hadn’t even reached them yet?

Yet the next moment, what Luke saw left him utterly astounded.

As the Silver Knights swung their greatswords with force, Sword Qi formed of firelight erupted loudly, rushing forward, and the creatures standing in the way were pierced and torn apart by the Sword Qi, falling dead with miserable cries.

This sudden scene threw the creatures on the other side into chaos, and seizing this chance, the Silver Knights immediately swung their greatswords and charged in.

Amazing!

Seeing this, Luke’s eyes widened in shock.

As a Jedi Knight, he had fought these creatures himself just now and knew firsthand how formidable and terrifying they were. Originally, he didn’t favor the knights’ method of combat. After all, besides lightsabers, no other weapons could pierce the monsters’ defenses.

Yet the reality was, in front of these knights’ greatswords, the creatures’ hard shells, impenetrable even by firearms, seemed fragile as if made of glass. Luke watched as the knights raised and swung their greatswords, reducing the creatures to halves, thirds, and quarters. They advanced like human-shaped meat grinders, tearing every brave opponent into pieces.

Could these be reinforcements from the Heavenly Dao Palace?

Of course, Luke had no idea of this unit’s power. The current Undead Squad was the highest technological marvel of both the Heavenly Dao Palace and the Main World. Their armor was crafted from Hard Light of the Aura World, theoretically providing absolute defense. The forging of their greatswords drew upon the Main World’s dwarven swordsmithing skills, and their flames were enchanted by Fang Zheng himself—indeed, considered a Divine Artifact.

Additionally, the Undead Squad’s training included purification, with Fang Zheng teaching them the Undead Squad’s Wolf Sword Technique and Black Katie guiding them in team formation and combat. These girls also learned the Main World’s Sword Qi Burst, granting them power second only to a Legendary Powerhouse—naturally, without a Legendary Domain, they couldn’t become one.

Seeing the tide of battle improve somewhat, Luke finally breathed a sigh of relief, but just then, he heard a peculiar sound.

”Beep beep beep...”

At the same time, Luke saw the coffin of the Silver Knight who had given the orders suddenly blossom like a flower, and a golden, strange ball appeared from within. It circled around Luke, beeped twice, and then Luke saw a pitch-black beam shoot from the ball’s center into the air, swiftly forming a spinning circular black hole. After maintaining for five seconds, it flashed brilliantly.

Then, a golden, pure and dazzling crystal materialized out of thin air.

The next moment, countless showers of light rained down from the sky.
