Chapter 651: Chapter 650 Shido Gokawa’s Melancholy

For Shido Gokawa, it was a very ordinary day.

And he was just an ordinary sophomore in high school.

Right, until a few months ago, that’s what Shido Gokawa still believed.

But now, he was different.

Because Shido Gokawa had come across beings he never imagined he would encounter—Elves.

Not only that, his usually innocent and adorable little sister had turned into the commander of an airborne warship and even demanded that he Seal the Elves’ powers to stop them from destroying the world!

The method of Sealing was to go on dates with them, make them shy, and then kiss to Seal!

At first, Shido thought this must be some kind of joke, but unfortunately, it was not a joke, but a fact... because he had already Sealed the powers of three Elves, and... they were now living with Shido.

”Ahh...”

Thinking about this, Shido couldn’t help but sigh. Today’s school life was as exhausting as ever, with Shika and Origami constantly quarreling, and him, as always, being the unlucky one caught in the middle. The Yamai Sisters also did not spare him, affectionately coming to Shido’s class to ask him to join them for lunch, which almost got Shido dragged out by his male classmates and buried alive.

Moreover, due to the unclear relationship between Origami, Shika, and the Yamai Sisters during this period, Shido Gokawa’s reputation among the female population of the entire high school had hit rock bottom. In the eyes of some female students, Shido Gokawa had basically become a ”playboy”...

What could Shido say to that? He was desperate too!

Shido had already gotten used to it, and all he thought about now was to hurry home and cook... otherwise, Shika would definitely complain.

”Hey, Shido, did you hear me?”

Just as Shido had finished shopping and was on his way home, suddenly, a girl’s voice came through the earphone in his right ear—it was Kotori Gokawa, his sister not related by blood.

”Ah, Kotori, what’s up?”

Hearing his sister’s voice, Shido stopped and asked.

”Wanted to know about tonight’s dinner ingredients? I was planning to make hamburgers...”

”Hamburgers are great... but now’s not the time for that, come to Phylaxis right now!”

”Right now? Alright.”

Hearing Kotori speaking, Shido sighed and glanced around. After making sure no one saw him, he quickly jogged into a deserted alley nearby. A flash of Radiance passed by, and the next moment, Shido found himself teleported onto the warship in the sky—Phylaxis.

”What’s wrong, Kotori? What happened?”

Entering the command room, Shido also nervously asked, and hearing Shido’s inquiry, Kotori, who was sitting in the chair sucking on a lollipop, turned her head to give him a serious look.

”Dumb brother, you finally made it. Don’t worry, it’s not something bad... well, strictly speaking, it seems it’s not something good either.”

”What’s wrong?”

Hearing Kotori’s ambiguous words, Shido blinked, and Kotori reached to press her forehead with a helpless answer.

”Well... just now, we discovered a new Elf in Celestial City.”

”Is that so?”

Hearing this, Shido was greatly startled.

”But I didn’t hear any spatial quake alerts?”

”It must be a Silent Present Realm. Anyway, we didn’t detect the Elf’s presence right away. If I hadn’t seen it on my way home, I never would have guessed that an Elf would boldly show up on the streets.”

Stating this, Kotori also seemed baffled. She was originally planning to go home after school, but on her way, she saw two familiar faces. As the commander of Ratastok, Kotori, of course, would remember every Elf’s appearance and characteristics. So, when she encountered those two Elves, she immediately recognized them. This made her urgently contact the warship and then called her older brother back as well.

”So you called me here to make contact with the Elf?”

Thinking this, Shido understood why Kotori had hastily called him here. The appearance of Elves was random and it was uncertain how long they could stay. Therefore, the time to make contact with an Elf was very limited and precious, so naturally, there was no time to waste.

But to Shido’s surprise, this time Kotori’s expression revealed some difficulty.

”Hmm... Although that’s correct, this time... the situation is not as simple as you think.”

”???”

”Anyway, let’s take a look first.”

As she spoke, Kotori snapped her fingers, and soon the image on the screen began to change, then the figure of a girl in a white dress appeared on the screen.

”Is she the Elf?”

Looking at the girl sitting on a chair, Shido asked, and Kotori nodded her head.

”Yes, the comparison of spiritual power fluctuations matches; she is the Hermit, a very gentle elf.”

”Isn’t that good?”

Looking at the girl wearing a sun hat, sitting in a chair holding a cup and sipping juice, Shido asked with a puzzled expression. Since she wasn’t as dangerous as the other elves, there shouldn’t be any problem interacting with her. But why did his sister look so helpless?

While Shido was puzzled, a man appeared on the screen.

He seemed to be in his early twenties, dressed in simple casual wear, and was tall. Not only that, he was very... handsome!

Indeed, unlike the pretty boys Shido had seen on TV dramas, the man on the screen seemed like a battle-hardened warrior who had emerged from smoky battles. His face was broad, with clear and concise features, and his aura was so uniquely charismatic that anyone in the crowd would be involuntarily drawn to him.

The man, holding two burgers, walked over and sat next to the girl known as the ”Hermit.” They exchanged a few words with smiles, then he handed one burger to her. She put down her cup and began to eat the burger in small bites.

”Who is he?”

Seeing this scene, Shido was greatly shocked. He hadn’t expected that someone could get along with an elf, and their interaction seemed quite pleasant.

”There’s no record of this man in the data, but... if we’re not mistaken, he is probably the Knight.”

”Knight... wait, do you mean that person is also an Elf?!”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng was completely shocked. Meanwhile, Kotori sighed helplessly and then nodded.

”Now you see, silly brother, this case is very different from before, and...”

As she spoke, Kotori glanced at the screen. Although she didn’t finish her sentence, Shido understood her meaning. At that moment, the screen clearly showed the girl accidentally getting some salad dressing around her mouth while eating her burger. The man beside her then took a napkin, wiped the dressing off her mouth, and they both smiled at each other before continuing to enjoy the food in front of them.

”...Hey, Kotori, what should we do now?”

Staring blankly at this scene, Shido also couldn’t help but ask. He now finally understood why Kotori said the situation was complicated.

Previously, Shido had successfully sealed three elves. Shika had little understanding of the world, so there hadn’t been much of a problem. Although the Yamai Sisters had a good relationship, they had always been concealing their true feelings from each other and, being females with Shido as a male, the issues weren’t too significant.

But this combination... was problematic!

Anyone who was not blind could see at first glance that the Knight and the Hermit had a very good relationship; they appeared as if they were siblings as well as lovers, which was different from the others before. This meant that Shido’s previous strategies wouldn’t work here!

And... no matter how Shido thought about it, it felt like he would be meddling as a third party if he tried to intervene.

But before that...

”Wait, Kotori, are you asking me to...”

At that moment, Shido suddenly thought of a very dreadful possibility, his face turned pale, and he was sweating profusely as he turned to look at his sister. Facing Shido’s shocked gaze, Kotori embarrassingly turned her head away, looking to the side.

”...Sealing an elf is your mission, Shido. This isn’t the time to discuss personal preferences.”

”...This is not about personal preferences at all!!!”

At that moment, Shido completely broke down.
