Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 689: Chapter 688: The End of Act 1 (Part 2)

”Such power...! Be careful, MASTER! She is neither a Servant nor a human!”

”You’re right.”

As Red Saber responded, Kurumi raised the double guns in her hands, smiling as she gazed at the Knight before her.

”I am an Elf—Tokisaki Kurumi. Now, let me see just how capable the legendary Servants are... Chronos, First Bullet (Aleph)!”

As she spoke, Kurumi aimed the short gun at herself and then pulled the trigger. The next moment, her figure abruptly vanished from in front of Red Saber. Seeing Kurumi disappear, Red Saber was greatly surprised. She seemed to sense something and somersaulted toward the back, but at the same time, Kurumi had already appeared behind the middle-aged man, smirking as she pulled the trigger.

”Dodge, MASTER!”

As she shouted, Red Saber kicked her MASTER, and the middle-aged man let out a scream before getting kicked away. He passed by the bullets fired by Kurumi and crashed directly onto a nearby rooftop.

”What a despicable and shameless fellow!”

Enraged, Red Saber once again charged at Kurumi with her sword, but Kurumi’s figure vanished in an instant once more, dodging Red Saber’s attack again. She appeared behind her, raising the double guns in her hands to both sides.

”Chronos—Seventh Bullet (Zayin)!”

Shadows gathered within the barrel of her gun as Kurumi shouted, and then bursts fired out.

”Such tricks are useless against me!”

Having missed with her swing, Red Saber clearly did not regard Kurumi’s attack seriously. As Kurumi reappeared, she shouted and lunged at Kurumi again. But seeing this, the middle-aged man was suddenly alarmed.

”SABER, don’t get hit by her bullets!”

”Huh?”

Hearing her MASTER’s warning, Red Saber realized something was terribly wrong. Though she was slow to react, she swung her sword forward like a mighty hammer smashing onto the ground before her. The paving stones on the ground shot up from the force of the strike, forming a stone wall in front of Red Saber.

And then... One of the paving stones suddenly stopped moving, as if time had frozen, hovering in mid-air.

This move again?

Seeing the stone slab floating in the air, Red Saber snorted coldly and quickly leapt over the time-stopped slab. Indeed, this woman was tricky to deal with. Although Red Saber possessed considerable Magic Resistance, ordinary magecraft was supposedly ineffective against her. However, the woman’s power was so peculiar that even Red Saber didn’t dare to risk it. It was evident that the woman’s bullets could suspend the time of those hit. If she herself got shot, she might very well become an easy target!

But...

”Don’t underestimate me, woman!”

Enraged, Red Saber jumped over the fragments of the stone slab and threw her sword like a javelin towards Kurumi, who was behind. Kurumi, caught off guard by Red Saber’s action, could only stand there stupefied, seemingly waiting for the sword to pierce her body...

”Clang!”

But the next moment, a Pitch Black Greatsword suddenly appeared, knocking the Long Sword aside. Right after, Mr. Fang Zheng emerged from the nearby ruins.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, you’ve finally arrived.”

However, what surprised Red Saber was that, accompanying this man’s appearance, another figure almost identical to the woman before emerged from the shadows nearby!

”I thought you’d have handled the enemy by now. Why is it so troublesome?”

”Isn’t it because you, Mr. Fang Zheng, need more strength? So I thought, shouldn’t you incinerate this Servant and her master?”

”These can’t be burned; we must follow the rules of the Holy Grail War.”

Hearing Kurumi’s inquiry, Mr. Fang Zheng shook his head. Indeed, the Servants possessed great power, and if all were burned, Mr. Fang Zheng would certainly be able to repair more. But Mr. Fang Zheng had not forgotten that only when the Servants were killed, and their souls returned to the Holy Grail, could the Greater Holy Grail be activated.

Fang Zheng’s Primordial Fire would burn both the body and soul of the opponent into firewood and then devour it all, which meant that if Fang Zheng burned Red Saber here, activating the Greater Holy Grail would become very difficult.

”Sorry, I failed to explain clearly.”

”It’s nothing, Mr. Fang Zheng. To duel with these Servants is also a novel experience for me, but...”

Speaking thus, Kurumi glanced at her clone.

”You didn’t need to go out of your way to save her, after all, she’s just one of my clones.”

”Even if she’s just a clone, she is still you. I’ve said before, you belong to me, so your clone belongs to me as well. Losing any part of you would pain my heart.”

While saying this, Fang Zheng looked towards Red Saber in front of him.

”Alright, Kurumi, stop playing, our time is limited.”

”Understood.”

”Bang.”

Just as Kurumi finished speaking, a gunshot rang out. At the same time, Red Saber suddenly turned her head to look behind herself.

”MASTER!!”

”Uh... ah...”

But at this moment, the middle-aged man could no longer respond to his Servant’s call. He opened his mouth, and blood gushed out. Simultaneously, one could see a hole had been punched through the middle of the man’s throat. Next, the shadow under the middle-aged man began to twist, and then another Kurumi, dressed in a red-black dress and holding dual pistols, smilingly emerged from the shadow. She reached out and gently pushed the middle-aged man beside her, and the next moment, his body—his corpse—collapsed to the ground, lifeless.

”You... you bastard... ahhhhhh!!!”

Watching Kurumi emerge from the shadow, Red Saber roared and raised her Longsword, charging at her. But this time, before she could reach her, she disintegrated into photon particles and vanished into the air.

Alright, that settles it.

Watching the scene before him, Fang Zheng nodded in satisfaction, then snapped his fingers. Soon, Lothric Royal City quickly disappeared, replaced by the original small town of Tolifas.

”We should leave this place now.”

Fang Zheng lifted his head and looked around. Even though there were no people nearby since the Sealing was lifted, he did not wish to stay any longer, especially since the corpse of Red Saber’s Master was not far off. If anyone were to see, it could be troublesome.

”Then let’s go, Kurumi.” ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

”Yes, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

For the ordinary residents of Tolifas, it was just an ordinary day. The explosion that had occurred earlier was officially declared a gas explosion, and the dead body was that of an unfortunate tourist caught in the blast. For ordinary people, this was just a segment of a late-night news report that would last less than fifteen seconds and a piece of gossip in the pubs.

But for some others, the situation was entirely different.

Upon hanging up the phone, Danik revealed a smug smile. Watching the expression emerge on his uncle’s face, the young girl sitting opposite him in a wheelchair asked curiously.

”What is it? Uncle Danik?”

”Just now, Mr. Fang Zheng shared some good news.”

While speaking, Danik picked up a chess piece from the board and moved it forward.

”Red Faction’s SABER and her Master have been eliminated.”

”...Oh?”
