Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 664: Chapter 663: The Voice Heard Once Again

”Is it really Nymph?”

Upon hearing this unimaginable voice, Fang Zheng even felt as if all the strength had drained from his body. After his experiences in the Vampire world, Fang Zheng had finally come to terms with his own emotional struggles. He understood that panicking here would be of no use, and although he did not know exactly what the situation was like at the Heavenly Dao Palace, being anxious wouldn’t help. Therefore, Fang Zheng temporarily put the matter of the Heavenly Dao Palace aside.

But now, hearing Nymph’s voice, he immediately tightened up with tension.

”Nymph, how much time has passed on your side? What’s the current situation? Is everyone okay? And...”

Fang Zheng almost breathlessly questioned her about all the things he was worried about, and in response to his inquiry, Nymph replied with a faint chuckle.

”There’s no need to be so nervous, Master. Everyone is fine... um... to put it in order, it has been about a month and a half since you left this world...”

Through Nymph’s narration, Fang Zheng finally came to understand everything that had happened after his disappearance.

The story needed to start with the sudden attack he suffered at the airfield, where Fang Zheng was caught completely off guard and assaulted with a Divine Level Binding Technique. Although Fang Zheng used the Time Dragon’s power to greatly extend the time and even opened a Teleportation Gate, from an outsider’s perspective, it all happened in an instant.

According to Rodney, who was at the scene, she, Iona, and Black Katie only saw the Knight across from them draw a dagger, and then Fang Zheng ”whooshed” away in a flash.

The trio was, of course, taken aback by such a bizarre turn of events. Iona almost leaped over and knocked the Knight to the ground in one swift move, even manifesting her cannons aimed at him, clearly intending to obliterate him into fragments if he didn’t hand over Fang Zheng.

However, the Knight wasn’t intimidated by this, quite the opposite, he started to laugh madly. At that moment, the others also reacted, immediately rushing forward to restrain the Knight. Black Katie hurried forward, trying to snatch the dagger, but to everyone’s surprise, at that moment, the dagger in the Knight’s hand suddenly exploded violently.

Although Black Katie and the two Fleet Girls were unharmed, the Knight was blasted beyond recognition, and both he and the dagger were destroyed completely.

After that, things descended into chaos.

Bishop Carl immediately issued an order to lock down the site and took control of everyone involved. Afterwards, the Sanctuary invested significant effort to investigate the Knight’s identity, and eventually, it turned out he was the former Knight Captain, Brand... and most importantly, evidence suggested that his soul was dragged to Hell at the moment of the explosion.

That is to say, he became a lackey for a Demon King in Hell.

The Sanctuary, or rather, His Unreliable Holiness the Pope, was thunderstruck by this revelation. Fortunately, just as he had boasted to Fang Zheng, although the Golden Dragon was unreliable, when it came to dealing with human world political affairs, he clearly already had measures in place. Afterward, the Sanctuary began a large-scale investigation operation under the guise of a ”Cultist attempting to cause destruction within the Sanctuary.”

As for Fang Zheng’s disappearance, only Black Katie, Iona, Rodney, Bishop Carl, and the two Knights tasked with guarding the airfield were aware of it. One was the former Knight Captain Brand, and the other was just an ordinary guard Knight who had perished in the explosion, so there was no chance of him creating further trouble with loose talk.

Of course, Bishop Carl wasn’t about to spread this news around, so both parties tacitly agreed to keep quiet about it.

Luckily, since Fang Zheng had prepared for the worst before his departure, the Heavenly Dao Palace did not descend into chaos after the event. Everything was carried out according to Fang Zheng’s previous instructions, and the situation remained stable.

”Phew...”

Having heard Nymph’s account, Fang Zheng finally breathed a sigh of relief; knowing that everything at the Heavenly Dao Palace was as it should be was the best news he could have received.

”By the way, Black Katie didn’t get into a fight with Tilia afterward, did she?”

Fang Zheng was very aware that, before he left, Tilia had told Black Katie something along the lines of ”If Elder Brother meets with trouble, I’ll hold you responsible,” and the relationship between her and Black Katie... well, the once battered and broken Hall of the Star Dawn was testament to that.

”No, that hasn’t happened, Miss Tilia, although very angry, merely said ’I will settle the account with you once Elder Brother returns.’ Recently, Miss Tilia has been busy maintaining the stability of the entire Heavenly Dao Palace and hasn’t had any conflicts with Miss Black Katie.”

”What about the situation with Black Katie?”

”That... it’s hard to say, Miss Black Katie has been seriously completing the tasks you assigned her before, but in other respects...”

At this point, Nymph’s tone carried a hint of difficulty.

”I can’t tell.”

”That’s also true.”

Fang Zheng wasn’t surprised by Nymph’s response, Black Katie had always been expressionless, and few people could know what she was thinking. However, Fang Zheng knew she was a child with strong sense of responsibility and probably wouldn’t just let it go.

”Then, what’s the situation with the Royal Navy and Natsuse?”

”After Miss Iona and Miss Rodney returned, they were tied up by Miss Musashi and hung at the dockside for a whole night...”

”......”

Although they all looked like soft and cute girls on the outside, their style was still so tough.

”Regarding Natsuse... although we’ve kept it a secret from them as per your previous request, they seem to have sensed that something was not quite right. Natsuse and Midori have sought me out several times to inquire about your whereabouts. To this, I’ve only replied that you are currently in another world and temporarily unable to contact us... As for the situation in the Black World, everything is normal, but the reports we’ve received indicate that most of the children still prefer living in the Heavenly Dao Palace...”

”Since everything is normal in the Heavenly Dao Palace, then they can be returned in batches.”

Having heard Nymph’s report, Fang Zheng promptly made a decision.

”And Nymph, relay a message to Black Katie for me, my disappearance is due to the unique magical effects of this world and not because she failed in her protection, so tell her not to worry. Also, tell Tilia not to bully Black Katie anymore, after all, this incident was sudden, and it was my oversight... Also, thank you, Nymph.”

”...There’s no need for thanks, Master, this is what I should do as your Angel.”

The sound of Nymph’s voice trembled slightly upon hearing Fang Zheng’s gratitude, then it took on a note of joy.

”May I ask, Master, how much longer you might need to return?”

”I’m not certain at the moment, but I think it won’t be very long. During this period, the Heavenly Dao Palace is to be completely sealed off, and all external affairs are to be suspended, but rest assured, I will definitely return.”

”Understood, Master, I’ll go handle that right away, and...”

At this point, Nymph paused for a moment.

”I hope for your safe and early return.”
