Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 673: Chapter 672: I’ll Blow Up This World!!

”So, are you ready?”

Looking at Kurumi and Yoshino, Fang Zheng asked. Hearing Fang Zheng’s question, both appeared somewhat nervous, nodding their heads in unison. However, that was hardly surprising; for Kurumi and Yoshino, this was their first time traveling to another world, so it was natural for them to be nervous.

”I’m not clear on what the next world will be like either, but you need to prepare yourselves mentally first. Every world is quite different, some worlds might have witnessed the extinction of humanity, while others could be full of hostility, or filled with monsters and ruins... Anyway, just be prepared.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng raised the pitch-black greatsword in his hand, then swung it forward with force!

”Whoosh!!”

The burning flames rose from the ground, forming a fiery gateway. Seeing this door, Fang Zheng nodded, then made a gesture to the two. Kurumi also reached out to take Yoshino’s hand, gave Fang Zheng a glance, and then stepped through. After the two entered, Fang Zheng took one last look at the world behind him, then turned and walked into the gateway of flames.

Immediately, the fiery gateway closed swiftly and vanished into the air.

Perhaps because of the system upgrade, this time Fang Zheng did not fall from a great height but descended quickly and smoothly like riding an elevator. Then, with a ”plop,” his feet felt the firm and even ground. When he opened his eyes, he saw Kurumi and Yoshino already by his side, their eyes wide with astonishment, looking at the world before them.

However...

”It seems... there’s not much difference, is there?”

Kurumi carefully observed the tall buildings before her, then spoke.

No wonder she thought that way. The three of them were standing on the rooftop of a skyscraper. Looking down from here, they could clearly see the entire city bathed in neon lights. It seemed like a modern city no matter how you looked at it, and it looked quite similar to Celestial City in the Elf World... Well, judging by the vehicles on the streets below, it might be a bit more backward.

Perhaps it’s the level of the late 20th century?

Fang Zheng adjusted his sight and soon found the clue he was looking for on a street sign not far below.

[2KM to Fuyuki Central Plaza ahead]

Well... seeing the word Fuyuki, Fang Zheng knew where this was.

The peaceful and quiet Fuyuki City!

The Holy Grail War!

Ah, I’m freaking excited!

Knowing the world he was in, Fang Zheng got excited immediately. It had been a long time since he had traveled to a world he was familiar with. Although Fang Zheng now had the Ratziel, allowing him to search and investigate, he still felt that exploring by himself first was more interesting. It’s like using Google search – people resort to it because they can’t find useful information on their own, not because they search for answers without trying to solve a problem first...

”Ding-dong.”

Just then, the system prompt sounded in Fang Zheng’s ear again, and a message appeared before him.

[Random mission activated: Use the Dice of Fate to summon a Heroic Spirit and participate in the Holy Grail War. Success or failure will unlock a random storyline.]

Here it comes, the Holy Grail War! I knew it would be this!

Seeing the prompt before him, Fang Zheng hummed with pride. Of course, he knew what the Holy Grail War was; novels, animations, and games about this world were some of the hottest in Fang Zheng’s world. He had even referenced elements from it in his mobile games back in the day. He was certainly well-versed in the background of this world. Whether it was the Fourth War or the Fifth War, bring it on! Emiya Kiritsugu, Kotomine Kirei, Tohsaka Tokiomi, I could defeat the three of you with one hand!

”Mr. Fang Zheng? What should we do next?”

Seeing the sly smile on Fang Zheng’s face next to her, Kurumi couldn’t help but ask curiously, while Fang Zheng gestured with his hand.

”Wait here for a moment; I need to do something first... yeah, just wait here, I’ll be right back.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng walked over to a storage room at the top of the building. He looked around and then went straight in through the door. Seeing Fang Zheng’s peculiar actions, Yoshino and Kurumi exchanged curious glances but said nothing... after all, this wasn’t their world anymore.

”Is it finally my turn to summon a Heroic Spirit?”

Standing in the storage room, Fang Zheng was quite excited, which was why he didn’t let Kurumi and Yoshino accompany him to witness the summoning of a Heroic Spirit. After all, he had always maintained an image in front of them... and this was hardly the time for image.

As he thought, Fang Zheng checked the time.

”Eleven fifty, just right. Oh, I have to follow the procedure first, I remember it’s to draw the magic circle, then chant the spell text... Speaking of which, how did that Heroic Spirit summoning magic circle go again?”

Looking at the ground before him, Fang Zheng furrowed his brows and thought hard for a moment. Then he snapped his fingers lightly, and a flame spluttered forth from the ground, quickly extending to form a pattern of a pentagram surrounded by a circle.

”Hmm, that should be about right. Next comes the spell... Now, I remember this very well; I am Chef Moon after all, I’ve spent a lot on this!”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng reached out with his hand.

”The body is a slice of a greatsword! Blood is a lump of iron! The heart is... what was it?... The heart is shards of glass! In countless battles swaggering and never defeated! Never shaking with fear in battle! And nobody really understands what you do! Alone on that blade hill, self-amused! If you say the whole life is lived in vain, that body is nothing but a slice of a greatsword!”

Chanting the spell, Fang Zheng raised his hand. Soon after, the Dice of Fate appeared in his hand again.

”Come forth, SABER!”

Crying out loud, Fang Zheng threw the dice in his hand. The Dice of Fate flipped and landed in the center of the magic circle, then radiated a dazzling golden brilliance.

Oh, it’s coming, it’s coming, it has to be five stars! It must be five stars!

As he watched the sparkling golden light, Fang Zheng grew more nervous. At the same time, a scorching pain spread, and three long marks, resembling three swords, as a Command Seal appeared on Fang Zheng’s arm.

Then, the gold light faded.

And when Fang Zheng had a clear view of the figure before him, his smile froze instantly.

In the middle of the magic circle, a man clad in golden armor with upright hair stood there, his arms crossed, staring at him coldly.

”Hmph, is it you, the mongrel who summoned the great me?”

”............”

Looking at the blond man before him, Fang Zheng fell silent for a moment, then lowered his head and sighed.

”What is this nonsense, why on earth did it have to summon this guy of all people...”

”What are you babbling about, mongrel?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s muttering to himself, the man angrily raised his head, casting a disdainful glance at him.

”A mere mongrel like you should consider it a great honor to have summoned the great me. Do you actually have any complaints?”

”I can’t be bothered to waste words on you.”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng could no longer hold back. He lifted his right hand, pointing at the man before him.

”By the Command Seal, I issue an order, you shall not take any action without receiving a command issued by my Command Seal!”

”What!?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the blond man was taken aback. He frantically tried to do something, but at this moment, the magic power of the Command Seal had tightly bound his body, turning him completely into a statue.

”You bastard, how dare you treat the great me like this! I will tear off your mongrel head to show you the consequences of disrespecting the great me!”

In the face of the man’s curses, Fang Zheng turned a deaf ear and looked again at the Heroic Spirit before him.

”Once more by the Command Seal, I issue an order, Gilgamesh, hand over the ’Royal Wealth’ to me!”

”You... you little thief! Robber! Bastard, how dare you covet the King’s treasure! You...!!”

Although the blond man continued to curse angrily, his body betrayed his wishes, extending a hand to take a key out of the void, then handing it to Fang Zheng. Fang Zheng reached out and took the key. At the same moment, another system notification appeared before Fang Zheng’s eyes.

[Key to the Babylonian treasury detected—Royal Wealth. 15000 Dimensional Points required to absorb. Do you wish to absorb?]

”Absorb.”

When the system reached 75%, the Gifted Abilities within Fang Zheng’s body, ”Perfect Body,” ”Ability Plunder (EX),” ”Time Manipulation (B),” and ”Enchanted Designation” had all been unlocked. It could be said that aside from the Inherent Skills and the system’s own summoning and time travel abilities, all other abilities in Fang Zheng’s system were almost completely restored.

As Fang Zheng’s voice fell, the Royal Wealth turned into a streak of gold light and disappeared into his body. The sight further enraged the blond man, who roared in fury.

”You mongrel! You little thief, I will make you pay for the price of stealing the Royal Wealth...”

”By the Command Seal, I issue a command once again.”

Facing the blond man’s curses, Fang Zheng’s heart was undisturbed as he issued another command.

”Commit suicide, Gilgamesh.”

”You...”

This time, the blond man’s words were finally left unfinished.

His right hand, completely against his will, plunged into Gilgamesh’s chest. Then he tugged violently, ripping Gilgamesh’s heart out from his torso!

”Pugh!!”

Gilgamesh spewed a mouthful of blood, then fell to the ground. However, he did not die but glared at Fang Zheng with venomous hatred.

”You damned...”

”Pfft.”

However, just as Gilgamesh reached out to attempt something, the blade of the Pitch Black Greatsword pierced through his throat. Quickly, a dazzling flame burst forth in an instant, engulfing and completely consuming Gilgamesh. NovelFire.Côm-cσ๓

”Who would have thought that burning a Heroic Spirit could also yield firewood, even if it’s just 1%... Better than nothing.”

Looking at the now empty ground, Fang Zheng snorted coldly.

”But honestly, I didn’t expect... My luck to be this terrible, to summon such a calamity... but it doesn’t matter...”

As he said this, Fang Zheng looked down at the time once more.

It was now twelve o’clock.

”—————!”

Zero Hour Resurgence was activated at this moment, and simultaneously, the three Command Seals on Fang Zheng’s arm, which had been exhausted, were also restored.

Then, a system notification appeared once again.
