Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 659: Chapter 658: The Convergence of World Lines is Inevitable

After this incident, Fang Zheng never contacted Shido again, after all, he had only intended to teach that harem wimp a lesson, but who would’ve thought that it’d nearly bend him out of shape. It’s true that a cross-dressing bigwig has the Cute Attribute, but watching a man transform into a cross-dressing bigwig is a whole other story. Fang Zheng had no plans to bent a man that way, otherwise, if a guy confessed to him one day...

Even if it’s a cross-dressing bigwig, I can’t accept it!

Shido felt both relieved and a little disappointed about this. Relieved because he wouldn’t have to dress as a woman anymore, especially since the earlier incident with the train molester had given him too much mental stress. So much so that in the following days, he was haunted by nightmares of taking the train in drag and getting harassed by a bunch of lecherous old men, and the most despairing part for Shido was that these nightmares were never the same.

He even dreamed that after the old men discovered he was actually male, far from keeping their distance, they got even more excited, drooling as they pounced on him and pinned him down. Also, when Shido was at his limit and about to yell ”I’m a man!”, he was shocked to find that he had indeed turned into a woman, and then got harassed by a group of train molesters...

This made Shido’s recent days less enjoyable, unable to eat well or sleep well, and every morning he would wake up and check to see if his ’brother’ was still there... it felt like he was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Naturally, Kotori and Shika noticed this and came to ask about his condition from time to time, but Shido didn’t tell them anything, just saying that he wasn’t feeling well lately. No matter how Kotori threatened or tempted him, he refused to speak—the kind of dreams he had, how could he have the nerve to tell his sister and Shika about them!

Of course, another reason Shido stubbornly kept his mouth shut, willing to die before he’d speak, was that every time he had a nightmare and dreamed he was about to be violated by the old men, Fang Zheng’s figure would appear like an angel and rescue him from the nightmare. Then, the two of them would embrace, and Shido would dream that he confessed bashfully to the other person...

Ah, no! I’m really not that kind of person!!!

So it was with mixed feelings that Shido received Fang Zheng’s call and learned that they were planning to leave Celestial City. Originally, he had hoped to learn more from Fang Zheng so that he could develop more masculine behaviors and attitudes, but now... that obviously wasn’t going to happen.

On the other hand... not having to cross-dress anymore was a relief; at least he wouldn’t have to venture further down the wrong path.

That’s right, I, Shido Gokawa, would rather be beaten to death, jump from here, and never cross-dress again!

A few days later, Shido, having finally sorted out his emotions, started getting back to his daily life. However, what he didn’t expect was that, as he passed by the station plaza once again, he inadvertently encountered another Spirit from the Present Realm, ”Diva.” At first, like usual, Shido tried to communicate with the Spirit, but to his surprise, the moment she saw he was a man, she attacked him on sight.

Thankfully, the AST arrived in time and saved Shido’s life. After that, Shido finally learned the true identity of ”Diva,” who was none other than the popular idol Yuuya Miku, and more importantly, she was a Spirit who liked women and detested men.

So... in order to save the world, Shido dreadfully found that he seemed to have only one choice...

If Fang Zheng knew about this, he would definitely sigh with emotion.

”This is the choice of Steins;Gate...”

”This is the choice of Steins;Gate...”

Looking at the screen in front of him, where Shido, sweating profusely and again in drag, was walking towards Yuuya Miku, Fang Zheng shook his head. This kid was beyond hope, as the saying goes, the first time you try cross-dressing, you resist with all your might, struggling desperately. But once your resistance fails, you resign yourself to it, and eventually, you’re hopelessly addicted... Young man, you have no future. I can already see the hospitals in Thailand calling out to you.

But that has nothing to do with me.

Fang Zheng silently turned off the terminal and looked ahead again. At that moment, a hidden base was emerging in front of him, located in the mountain range not far away,

As for whether Shido Gokawa would turn gay or simply become a cross-dressing boss in the future, Fang Zheng said he didn’t care, since all the Seal required was for him to kiss an Elf and didn’t involve any hanky-panky. Does it really make a difference whether that part is used or not?

Regarding whether Kotori Gokawa would sit idly by while her brother turned into a sister, Fang Zheng currently didn’t have the time to care about that matter. The reason he had taken Yoshino and left Celestial City was partly that he had mostly achieved his goal and partly because Kurumi had sent word that she might have found the possible location of the ”Second Elf”.

Of course, much of it was thanks to Fang Zheng.

Since he couldn’t obtain sufficient information from the external networks, Fang Zheng even reminded Kurumi to bring back a few mainframe hard drives if she came across any, so that Fang Zheng could crack and study them. After that, Kurumi obediently infiltrated a DEM branch and dismantled their mainframe hard drives.

Naturally, the Young Lady wasn’t dumb; she could think of the possibility that if DEM discovered the theft of their mainframe hard drives, they would certainly reinforce their defenses. Hence, the Young Lady decisively... blew up that branch altogether.

Although somewhat chaotic, one couldn’t deny that Tokisaki Kurumi’s move was indeed sly. DEM failed to notice any problems because ”Nightmare” Kurumi was notoriously famous as a killer; nothing she did would come off as surprising. Thus, even in their reports, they didn’t pay special attention to the attack.

Afterward, Fang Zheng rapidly analyzed the content on the hard drives. Fortune indeed favors the diligent, and within those drives, Fang Zheng discovered suspicious information: the existence known as ”Material A,” with multiple transfer records, and within DEM’s records, it held the highest security classification.

Although he wasn’t certain whether this ”Material A” was the Second Angel Kurumi was looking for, Fang Zheng and Kurumi discussed it and decided it was better to start with ”Material A”. If it turned out to be the Second Elf they were searching for, then all the better. If not, they could seize it to trade with the other party, potentially obtaining some internal information about DEM.

Either way, they couldn’t lose in this situation!

The secret DEM base located within the Himalayas was the current location safeguarding ”Material A,” ascertained from the data Fang Zheng had decrypted from the hard drive.

”So what shall we do next, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

Accompanying the question, Kurumi emerged from the shadows, looking at Fang Zheng beside her.

”My clone is ready; can’t we start our operation now?”

”Just to be safe, it’s better to wait a bit longer,” Fang Zheng replied while checking the time.

”Assuming ’Material A’ truly is the Second Elf, then this base must have very strict guards and powerful surveillance. After all, Elves are powerful beings. Although I don’t know how DEM has restricted the Second Angel’s powers, if she really escapes, they must have a way to prevent her from leaving. For the sake of caution and not to alert them prematurely, let’s wait until it gets dark before we start our move.”

Even though the temperature in the snow-capped mountains was extremely low, Fang Zheng, Yoshino, and Kurumi were not human, so naturally, such cold could not harm them. Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Kurumi hesitated for a moment, then nodded. She had attempted to fight alone during this time, but soon Kurumi realized that even with countless clones, it wasn’t enough to combat a mammoth like the DEM Corporation with just her and Chronos’s power.

Now that Fang Zheng was here, she also wanted to see how he planned to resolve these issues.

Under the trio’s watchful eyes, the Sun slowly set beyond the horizon, and soon, darkness enveloped the mountains. Seeing this, Fang Zheng nodded and then turned to look at Yoshino.

”The time is about right, Yoshino. Let’s get started.”
