System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

He was originally lying down, but as soon as Chen Song went out, he almost got pulled up.

”You were the one who said to work overtime,” Chen Song said with a laugh.

”Where are you going?” Tong Yuan’an asked Chen Song.

Today’s Chen Song was obviously different, unlike his previous lethargic self, he seemed a bit charged up.

”I found out that we two brothers have been set up by a young guy, so I want to go challenge him one-on-one,” Chen Song said with a stern expression.

”For such small matters, there’s no need for you to personally get involved.”

”Set up? Are you kidding?” Tong Yuan’an’s eyes almost rolled back into his head with exasperation.

Tong Yuan’an, of course, understood what Chen Song meant, it should refer to that kid, Lu Cheng.

But Lu Cheng setting up a trap? Moreover, setting up a trap for him and Chen Song? Is there such a thing?

”That’s why I need to personally verify it!”

”It’s not too late yet, if it gets any later, there won’t be time.” Chen Song said hurriedly.

It’s already September 26th.

There are still five days left in this month, and Chen Song should be going back for a promotion.

But it seems there are some changes now.

Being a professor is merely the starting point of an academic journey, rather than the endpoint. He, Chen Song, is only an associate professor.

According to the usual path of development, Chen Song’s lifetime ultimate position would just be a professor at Xiangya Second Hospital.

But as an associate professor, Chen Song certainly knows how big the nation and the world are; being a professor means nothing.

”You’re being ridiculous,” Tong Yuan’an stretched lazily, then said, ”Then I won’t disturb you two on your ’date’.”

Tong Yuan’an knew that a choice must be made between Chen Song and Lu Cheng.

Chen Song couldn’t be bothered to ride in Tong Yuan’an’s car, he directly hailed a cab.

After getting in the car, the driver asked, ”Boss, where to?”

Chen Song: ”???”

Right, where does Lu Cheng live again? Last time Lu Cheng invited him to his place for dinner, but Chen Song didn’t go; he isn’t familiar with Long County at all.

Lu Cheng might have mentioned the neighborhood he lived in, but Chen Song totally forgot.

”Just drive ahead for now, I’ll ask,” Chen Song quickly texted and inquired with the other department members.

...

Lu Cheng had just finished washing up when Chen Song’s call came.

”Come down and pick me up,” Chen Song’s call was very brief.

Lu Cheng was stunned for a moment, quickly towel-drying his hair. After dropping the towel, he swiftly opened the door to head for the elevator and go down to the first floor.

As expected, he saw Chen Song at the elevator lobby: ”Teacher Chen, what brings you here?”

Chen Song was in no good mood: ”It’s this time already, and you’re saying such nonsense?”

”Don’t you have any idea why I’m here?”

Chen Song’s words were almost like an order: ”Take me upstairs!”

Lu Cheng complied, following behind Professor Chen Song like Chen Song was the host, and he was the guest.

After entering the room, Chen Song got into Lu Cheng’s small training room, put on gloves, and slowly began to unpick all the stitches that Lu Cheng had done.

In order to get a closer look at Lu Cheng’s operational details and the specific presentation and path of these operations within the organs.

Whether successful cases or not, Chen Song meticulously restored them all.

The speed of removing stitches was much slower than suturing. By the time several pig spleens were undone by Chen Song, it was already 11:49 pm.

After reassessing Lu Cheng’s simulation of spleen rupture AAST rating, Chen Song nodded: ”So basically, the application range of spleen suturing in spleen preservation surgery can be wider, it’s just that we haven’t found a suturing technique suitable for the spleen.”

”Hence, partial splenectomy was developed.”

”The application of suturing in spleen preservation surgery can be broader.”

Lu Cheng thought for a moment and explained earnestly: ”Teacher Chen, the reason I’m thinking like this is mainly based on two points, one is hand surgery muscle rupture suturing, and the other is the corpora cavernosa suturing from the combination of microsurgery and urology.”

Chen Song stood up, hands behind his back: ”Visualize your thoughts a bit more, send them to me in more detail, I need to sort them out.”

”Huh?” Lu Cheng looked at Chen Song!

”Huh what?” Chen Song glared: ”You’re unwilling? Then why did you tell me so much?”

Lu Cheng immediately replied, ”Oh, sure thing, Teacher Chen.”

”Are you trying to be abstract?” Chen Song asked impulsively.

Clearly, Chen Song was implying something.

Lu Cheng was doing this deliberately today!

After being silent for half a minute, Lu Cheng finally raised his head and said, ”Teacher Chen, I’ve recently realized something, it’s better to rely on oneself than to beg others.”

Chen Song’s mouth opened slightly, expression proud, even with a hint of disdain: ”You want to set up your own table now?”

”Do you think anyone would acknowledge the table you set up?”

Chen Song knew Lu Cheng quite well, he’s not a compliant person.

At Huashan Hospital over there, after so many years, Lu Cheng still wants clarity of mind.

As an adult, Chen Song naturally understood Lu Cheng’s intention, I’m just not convinced, I’m going to ’fight’.

At Union Hospital this time, Lu Cheng couldn’t possibly have come away unscathed after Professor Zhong’s sit-ups.

Only Lu Cheng’s tone was quite bold!

You don’t even know where the banquet hall’s door is, yet you want to go to the table?

”It’s not that kind of table I’m setting up.” Lu Cheng replied.

Lu Cheng thought very carefully again, then chuckled: ”No matter what, Teacher Chen, you know that hiding and not revealing doesn’t suit my age anymore.”

Chen Song’s flat eyes seemed especially thin under the Mediterranean sun: ”But one thing you have to know, arrogance is a cognitive error.”

After the reminder, Chen Song looked at the pig spleens on the table, thinking that if they were stir-fried, they’d probably taste delicious.

”Um... are your parents at home?”

”Can you get out?” Even though Chen Song entered the door in a hurry, he noticed signs that there were others at home.

”Teacher Chen, are you hungry? I can go out.” Lu Cheng quickly replied.

Asking for help naturally requires a posture of asking.

Lu Cheng knew his current scientific research foundation was very weak; it’s a significant shortcoming of his own.

To patch up these holes, he must not only work hard but also seek help.

When Lu Cheng said it’s better to rely on oneself than to beg others, he didn’t mean not to ask, but rather to rely on one’s own people.

After a few months of interaction, Lu Cheng also knew that Chen Song was an absolute foodie. According to Tong Yuan’an, Chen Song’s highest achievement was taking a KTV girl out to eat real hotpot after singing, and it was so spicy that it gave her diarrhea.

Real hotpot, not the kind circulating on the internet…

”I need to have a good talk with you about some things.” Chen Song thought to himself that he wasn’t Tong Yuan’an, not so utilitarian, but couldn’t resist the temptation Lu Cheng threw out.

The professional suturing technique for the spleen’s substantive organs is something many people want to do but can’t find the way.

For most surgeons, suturing is just a basic skill, sufficient with only basic practice.

Under such a premise, once they’ve mastered surgery enough, looking back to integrate the advantages of suturing into their surgery, it’s already too late.

Technical learning requires foundational training, though surgical techniques aren’t as exaggerated as foundational skills, there’s still a need to begin specialized learning from the beginning.

”Hey, I’ll treat you to a meal later, I’ll pay.” Chen Song emphasized.

After leaving the building and going down to the underground parking lot, Chen Song sat in the passenger seat of Lu Cheng’s car, feeling the discomfort of the seat width immediately.

Chen Song thought for a minute, then asked: ”Xiao Lu, you’re quite quick on your feet there.”

Lu Cheng didn’t respond to the bait from Chen Song, but instead asked: ”Teacher Chen, with just a spleen suturing technique, can you stay? Do we need to add something more...”

Chen Song was taken aback after hearing that, then went ballistic: ”Damn you... Are you the queen ant?”

But after thinking for a bit, Chen Song added: ”If you’re really willing to give something, then it wouldn’t be impossible...”
