The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1237: Chapter 1237: You haven’t officially met your little cousin yet?

Valencia Jett lifted her head to look at him. Beneath her unremarkable appearance, her eyes were quite beautiful. She stood up from the armrest of the sofa where she was leaning, arms folded across her chest, legs together, and smiled, ”OK, I’ll get to it right away.”

”Also, help me send a gift over.”

”Send it in your name.”

Who she was, Valencia didn’t even need to ask to know definitely that Khendy Lordon was referring to Nathalie Quinlan. She raised an eyebrow, speaking sharply, ”You’re sending a gift but want it to be under my name. Tsk, what’s the difference? Nathalie won’t know it’s from you.”

Khendy was wearing a black shirt, the tailored fabric perfectly outlining the contours of his chest and shoulders. His bland eyebrows and eyes carried a neutral expression, making it hard for anyone to decipher what he was thinking: ”Just send it. Anyway, a gift is only a gift if the recipient likes it. Otherwise, it loses its purpose.”

Valencia was momentarily stunned, unable to figure out his thoughts. Isn’t a gift meaningful only when it’s sent by oneself? What does he mean by it only being a gift if someone else is willing to accept it?

She straightened her legs, choosing not to delve deeper, and said to the man in the wheelchair, ”Anyway, I’m just responsible for helping you deliver the gift. As long as you don’t care that Nathalie won’t know it was from you!”

Khendy moved his fingers slightly, seemingly telling her to get lost.

Valencia left rather dashingly without turning back.

Downstairs at the hotel.

Hendrik Zachmann had been waiting in the hotel lobby on the first floor for a long time and hadn’t seen anyone come down.

Finally, a bodyguard as tall as a tower came out of the elevator and walked toward him.

”Here he comes.”

He perked up, whispering to Evron Barness.

Evron, who had come with him, heard this and followed Hendrik’s line of sight to see the person walking toward them. ”Do you think the boss will have time to see us?”

Hendrik had a stern and serious face, not resembling Leonardy Zachmann much, but more like Stanley Zachmann and Mr. Zachmann. At this moment, he shook his head uncertainly and answered, ”I don’t know. But since we are members of Maybelissa, and since we know the boss is here, we should definitely come over to say hello. Whether Mr. Lordon sees us or not is another matter. We should carry out the politeness we owe, meeting or not is up to him.”

”True.” Evron nodded lightly, feeling he made sense, ”Anyway, we’ve come to greet him. If we don’t see him, so be it.”

He found a spare moment to remember something, ”Oh, over the past few days, I’ve been with my grandfather and haven’t asked you; did you meet your cousin?”

”No.”

At the mention of Nathalie, Hendrik remembered Caryn Zachmann telling him that Nathalie had used the backdoor to gain attention and enter the World Software Competition, and his tone wasn’t very good.

”I haven’t had time these days.”

Evron frowned slightly, just about to ask him, didn’t you say when you first came back that you’d make time to have a meal with your family?

Why haven’t you found the time now?

But he saw the bodyguard of Khendy approaching and didn’t delve deeper, only curiously commenting, ”Oh, I thought that since your little cousin entered the group stage, your family would celebrate a bit and have a meal together.”

After Evron finished speaking, he turned his face away, not particularly paying attention to the words he had just said.

Because he thought Hendrik surely knew.

Who knew Hendrik was completely in a daze, utterly shocked, to the point where he even forgot to pursue Evron further.

Nathalie entered the group stage?

Caryn had told him that Nathalie’s competition software was done by a hired gun, wasn’t it?

Domestically, people have participated in this competition every year, and every year they fall at the top 16 in the preliminaries, never reaching the group stage. This year, Nathalie actually made it to the group stage?
