The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1233: Chapter 1233: Amadeus Comes to Pick Up People

”In the online group match, the person who qualifies from each group can go to McKinney for the final competition. I just checked your group; you’ve been placed in Group C. Group C ranks second in overall strength among the four groups...”

Leo Dunn suppressed the excitement in his voice: ”The opponents are very strong; there’s a former world champion in there.”

”Do you know the Heavenly Ranking?”

”Two of your opponents are on the Heavenly Ranking.” Leo Dunn didn’t elaborate, mainly because there wasn’t much need to. In this qualifying match, several of Nathalie Quinlan’s opponents were also on the Heavenly Ranking, and what happened? They still got instantly defeated by Nathalie Quinlan.

So Leo Dunn simply said, ”I’ll send you the group match player information later.”

”Okay.”

When Nathalie Quinlan came out, she took the backpack she had left at security, which contained her phone. As soon as she turned it on, she saw the message from Amadeus Yancey, telling her he was waiting for her at the school gate.

She smiled.

Her line of sight fell on the message she hadn’t replied to, and after hesitating for a moment, she tapped the phone screen and replied.

[No reason, I just felt like going.]

After replying, Nathalie Quinlan put away her phone and said to Leo Dunn and the others: ”Mr. Sullivan, Mr. Dunn, my friend is waiting for me outside, I’ll head out first.”

Winston Sullivan and the others didn’t expect Nathalie Quinlan to qualify so easily. They still had a lot of follow-up work to do, so they didn’t try to keep the girl: ”Alright. We’ll keep in touch.”

Nathalie Quinlan acknowledged with a hum, gathered her things, and walked towards the school gate.

At the school gate, a Hongqi Sedan was quietly parked under a camphor tree by the roadside.

Nathalie Quinlan saw the familiar car, walked over, and opened the car door with ease, sitting in the passenger seat. She fastened her seatbelt, then turned to ask, ”Where to?”

Amadeus Yancey turned to help her readjust the seatbelt, pulling it open and fastening it again, then sat up straight and said, ”Let’s get something to eat first.”

”Are you sure you want to eat now?” Nathalie Quinlan glanced at him, letting him help her with the seatbelt, then sat back in his original position, looking slightly surprised: ”It’s only four-thirty in the afternoon.”

”What did you have for lunch?”

Amadeus Yancey noticed the surprised expression on her strikingly attractive face, the corners of his lips curled up as he placed his hand on the steering wheel, started the car, and his voice exuded an air of sophistication.

”Knowing your personality, you probably just grabbed something quick for lunch. It’s just the right time to eat now, and you’ll still have room for a late-night snack.”

Nathalie Quinlan stayed quiet.

She sat honestly in the passenger seat.

She did indeed have a quick and simple lunch; the main reason being that there was a match in the afternoon. To keep her mind sharp, she didn’t like eating too much during such times, so she just had a sandwich.

To be honest, she was starting to feel a bit hungry. She didn’t hold back anymore and succinctly said: ”I want to eat lamb hotpot.”

Beijing is most famous for its lamb hotpot.

Lamb hotpot is a type of hot pot, only with a clear broth, and the ingredients are typically complemented with sesame paste or peanut sauce.

Nathalie Quinlan generally wasn’t interested in such light-flavored cuisine, but she had been to a place, brought by Amadeus Yancey, that had a pretty good taste.

The freshly cut lamb had clear muscle texture, with no hint of the usual gaminess, and suddenly, she really wanted to eat it.

Amadeus Yancey always went wherever she wanted to go, and with his arm resting on the steering wheel, he turned the car around, his voice slightly hoarse: ”Then let’s go for lamb hotpot.”

The car smoothly drove off towards the Private Restaurant Nathalie Quinlan mentioned...
