The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1208: Chapter 1208: 16 in the top every year, each year stronger than the last

Sadam Vinson was initially extremely angry, but hearing his words, his passionate enthusiasm instantly cooled down.

Indeed.

The domestic technology sector has always lagged behind the outside world, and over the years, they have suffered so much.

Everyone is holding their breath, wanting to make a stunning impact.

Isn’t this true for everyone at The Ninth Institute?

He didn’t expect the competition Nathalie Quinlan mentioned to be this one.

It took Sadam Vinson a while to speak: ”So where is this competition held? We won’t have to go abroad, will we?”

Amadeus Yancey knows more about these things: ”In previous years, it was held abroad. This year is quite special; the location has been set domestically.”

”?” Sadam Vinson was just about to ask why this year is special and not abroad.

Amadeus Yancey seemed to know what he wanted to ask, slightly curling his lips, quite reserved, but unable to hide the pride at the corners of his eyes and brows: ”Because in the past two years, the level of domestic technology has risen, coupled with the Illegal Zone chip incident. Professor Zachmann and his team have published the chip success, allowing people outside to see the progress of domestic technology. So this time, they set the competition location domestically.”

”An old place, she’s quite familiar.”

Sadam Vinson: ”Where?”

Amadeus Yancey raised an eyebrow, slowly spitting out a place name: ”McKinney.”

The next day, Nathalie Quinlan went to school early with her things.

Outside Jackson Wafford’s office, many people came to register, most of them juniors and seniors majoring in computer science.

There were also some graduate students who stayed at school.

Every face beamed with youthful confidence and radiance.

Among those who came to register, besides computer science students, there were also students from other departments, such as those from computer-related majors.

Stewin Hoffman and Zayn Fisher were also among them.

But unlike Zayn Fisher, Stewin Hoffman wasn’t here to register for the auditions; he was accompanying a friend from the computer science department, and he happened to see Zayn Fisher there, so he greeted him and stood together chatting.

”Do you think we can make it this year?”

Zayn Fisher himself is a student of the finance department, studying under Professor Derliand, which includes computer and advanced mathematics knowledge.

And he’s a boy.

Boys are naturally a bit more gifted in the sciences compared to girls.

Zayn Fisher has always had outstanding grades from childhood to adulthood, and it’s the same at Tsinghua University, ranking absolutely first or second in his major.

He used his spare time to develop a small software, which is decent, and just heard Derliand mention such a competition, so he wanted to try his luck.

Before coming, he had looked up information about the World Software Contest online and knew about the general situation each year.

The domestic results have always been unsatisfactory.

So when he heard Stewin Hoffman ask, his expression was reserved and introverted, casually replying, ”I don’t know.”

Stewin Hoffman, hearing him say this, pouted and muttered softly, ”Don’t let it be like every year, making it to the round of 16, getting stronger year by year!”

Zayn Fisher didn’t respond.

His heart also held no hope.

But this year is quite different from the past; this high-profile world-class competition used to be held abroad every year.

This year, for some reason, it was chosen to be held domestically.

If the competition is held domestically and the domestic teams can’t even advance to the group stage, that would be utterly embarrassing.

In the crowd, apart from them, there was another person. Among a large group of boys coming to register, a girl stood out conspicuously.

Velnisa Irvin was still wearing a cotton dress, the style was old-fashioned, but it was clean and tidy.

She was tall and good-looking.
