The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1207: Chapter 1207: A World-Class Competition, What Do You Think

Occasionally, she shares them within the Red Alliance with @ilovebeingskinny and the others.

Other times, she doesn’t really delve deeply into these.

Nathalie Quinlan stood up and naturally said to the two people on the sofa, ”I’ll go upstairs first. I still have a tune to finish. You guys take your time playing.”

The tune was promised to be written for Stephanie Tanzil.

A theme song for a sports project.

She had already sketched out the rough outline a few days ago.

The name was already decided, and it was called ”Burn”.

Nathalie planned to finish writing the tune today and then send it to Stephanie for review. If there were any issues, she could still make modifications.

Sadam Vinson waited until Nathalie went upstairs, and the sound of the door closing came from the second floor.

Only then did he crane his neck to look up, uneasily asking the man playing on the phone across from him, ”Amadeus, how’s the soundproofing in your rooms? Nathalie won’t hear us from upstairs, right?”

Amadeus Yancey sat with crossed legs, lazily glanced at him, and redirected his line of sight back to the phone: ”She won’t hear. Say whatever you want.”

”Then I’ll say it.” Sadam, having held back for a while, started firing questions like a barrage: ”What competition were you talking about just now? I only know about a software competition. Is it really as impressive as you say?”

”A world-class competition, what do you think?” Amadeus put down the phone with an indifferent look, gave him a glance, and didn’t need to state the obvious answer.

Sadam felt troubled.

”It’s that impressive???”

He continued to worry: ”So what kind of competition is this exactly? What do you mean by a software competition?”

”I just checked, the world software competition is quite prestigious. It’s recognized internationally and considered representative of the nation’s top software level. The capital behind it is Maybelissa, and in previous years, the domestic IT sector was weak and often mocked by foreign media. If Nathalie wants to go, she still has to overcome a lot of challenges to enter the group stage.”

Amadeus spoke calmly, but Sadam wasn’t a fool; he understood from his words that the difficulty level was hellish.

”What do you mean? You mean others can directly enter the group stage while we have to fight our way in from the outside?”

”Pretty much.”

Amadeus squinted, fiddling with the silver wristband on his wrist. Ever since Nathalie gave him this, he always wore it, often fiddling with it, though usually not in a good mood.

”You know that our country’s technological level was limited in the past, and outsiders didn’t recognize our research, especially in IT development, which software falls under.”

His voice was very light, speaking slowly: ”In the past, there were also participants in this competition, but the results were not ideal.”

”?”

”This world software competition has a selection round before the group stage, primarily targeting less developed areas. We’ve never achieved good results in these competitions before, so we have to start from the selection round. A total of 16 participants from 16 regions will compete in the selection round.”

Amadeus paused fiddling with the wristband, halted for a moment, and then continued speaking.

”Only 2 out of the 16 will be selected to enter the group stage; the real competition starts from the group stage.”

”Only select 2 out of 16?” Sadam was furious: ”That’s fucking unfair!”

Amadeus was very composed, not even raising an eyebrow, his voice slightly hoarse: ”There’s never absolute fairness in this world. Fairness is a rule set by the strong. The weak can only obey the other’s game rules!”
