The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1230: Chapter 1230: Nathalie: I Dare Not Give My All

Try to demonstrate your own strength?

Hm, that might be a bit difficult.

She’s afraid that if she performs too well, they won’t be able to handle it.

...

After passing the security check, Nathalie Quinlan entered the designated competition room, where all the staff were already present, and handed her a bottle of mineral water.

Nathalie noticed the surveillance cameras installed all around the room, pursed her lips, tugged at her cap brim, and stretched her long, straight legs, walking over to the gaming chair, pulling out the chair and sitting down.

She opened the computer and checked the configuration.

Sitting there, waiting for the time to pass and for the committee to release the theme of this competition.

She checked yesterday on the participants from various countries who were entering the preliminary round with her; they all were people from the Hacker’s List.

Nathalie flexed her wrist bones.

She hadn’t participated in such competitions for a long time.

People from the Hacker’s List, huh.

Sorry, she’s also on that list.

Ranked no.1.

Sun.

She half-squinted her eyes, curled up her lips, with an arrogant gaze, only her brim was pulled low, masking the immense confidence in her eyes, unnoticed by Winston Sullivan and Leo Dunn.

Three o’clock sharp.

The theme for the preliminary round, sent by the committee, appeared on Nathalie Quinlan’s computer — Virus.

Virus.

This theme was beyond anyone’s expectations.

Before, Leo Dunn and several domestic software teachers helped Nathalie Quinlan with some predictions; they unanimously thought this time’s CSDN theme would lean towards popular topics like communications and information technology; who would’ve known it would be something so obscure.

Moreover, the competition rules were incredibly intense.

All 16 national participants started developing virus software simultaneously, attacking each other’s computers; whoever lasts till the end wins this round.

Securing the only spot to enter the group stage.

...

Outside, Leo Dunn and Winston Sullivan were the first to learn about the preliminary round’s theme and rules. Leo Dunn’s face turned pale instantly, clenching his fists in surprise: ”This is bad, why would it be this theme?”

”...” Winston Sullivan, who specialized in traditional medicine rather than computers, immediately frowned and asked him: ”What’s wrong with this theme?”

With a white face, Leo Dunn looked at him and murmured: ”We didn’t prep Nathalie for this kind of subject; I don’t know if she’s good at this.”

Every computer expert must develop virus software because only by understanding the principles of virus software attacks can you overcome them.

But that is quite an advanced technology.

According to the learning process, typically students first learn C language, programming, software courses, and then teachers begin to cover software viruses.

Yet, the theme of this competition is directly virus software development!

Upon hearing this, Winston Sullivan also frowned, worriedly looking toward the competition venue.

If Nathalie loses...

Winston Sullivan felt intense pressure.

Rivendell private room.

Nadya Tucker and the others were watching the competition live. When they saw Nathalie receive the competition theme, Nadya Tucker was the first to purse her lips and say: ”Virus?”

Why is this theme so tricky?

”Ms. Quinlan will be okay, right?” Nadya was pretty worried about Nathalie Quinlan.

Sadam Vinson didn’t know if Nathalie would have a problem; he only knew that Nathalie was friends with @ilovebeingskinny from the Red Alliance.

But as for how strong Nathalie is in this field, he had no clear idea: ”She should be okay.”

Brian Bonette noticed him nervously drinking water frequently, raised his eyebrows calmly, smiled, and reassured him: ”Don’t worry. Nathalie will definitely be okay!”
