The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1212: Chapter 1212: Truly a Face Slap

After his initial shock, he regained his composure: ”If you are sure about choosing Nathalie Quinlan, I’ll submit the list, but the organizing committee still needs to review it, and it may not necessarily proceed.”

”Mr. Wafford, just watch. This time, the person representing the country in the competition has to be Nathalie Quinlan!” Leo Dunn affirmed, ”The candidates submitted by Southern University this year are definitely not as formidable as Nathalie Quinlan!”

Once Nathalie Quinlan’s software is out, who can challenge her???

Absolutely unbeatable!

Including the rookie king from Southern University next door this year, what was his name again, he’s also from McKinney, seems like it’s Freddy Cagwin.

Just the same.

No comparison!

In the evening, Tsinghua University’s official online network published Tsinghua’s submitted list, which included Nathalie Quinlan’s name, demonstrating the special status Tsinghua and Southern University held.

Compared to other universities, they had two more slots.

Tsinghua submitted three people, and the names were clearly listed as Nathalie Quinlan, Zayn Fisher, Velnisa Irvin.

Nathalie Quinlan’s name prominently appears in the first position.

Once these results came out, the university network exploded.

The world software competition essentially refers to a contest within the computer department, yet the selected list included three individuals who were not specialized in this field.

Among them, two were freshmen from the Chinese Medicine department!

In the evening, the Chinese Medicine department had evening self-study.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t attend.

But Tiffany Olsen, Ezra Hoffman, and others were present.

When Velnisa Irvin came in, everyone congratulated her.

”I saw the list on the university network. Congratulations, you got selected.”

”Yeah, junior, who would have thought you are so skilled in computing, defeating a bunch of professionals and securing one of the three places.”

Faced with the compliments from her seniors in the same department, Velnisa Irvin carried a computer science professional book and seemed at ease.

She humbly said: ”I was just fortunate.”

”It’s not just about luck, you must have the skills to be selected!” One senior was quite flattering.

Velnisa Irvin gave a faint smile, found a separate position to sit down, and spoke lightly: ”Nathalie Quinlan was also selected. This list is only temporary, and it’s uncertain who will ultimately represent the country in the competition. Being chosen is already an honor.”

She spoke easily.

Tiffany Olsen, sitting diagonally in front of her, couldn’t help but roll her eyes in disgust, and rudely retorted: ”Yeah, it’s just a selection list for now, it’s uncertain who will get to compete! Tonight is Professor Sullivan’s specialized class, so why even bring a computer science book? Isn’t it uncertain, then prepare once the results are out, no need to be so impatient!”

Velnisa Irvin’s delicate complexion turned white momentarily.

She gripped the professional computer science book with her nails, her face alternately turning pale and flushed under Tiffany Olsen’s sarcasm. Though she wanted to snap back, she felt lowering herself to Tiffany Olsen’s level would degrade her status.

Fortunately, Tiffany Olsen only mocked her a bit and didn’t intend to continue bugging her, turning back to chat with Ezra Hoffman and the others instead.

Velnisa Irvin took a deep breath, slightly suppressed her dissatisfaction, kept a straight face, resumed her usual cold demeanor, composed herself, and attentively started flipping through the book she borrowed from the library.

She never considered Nathalie Quinlan a contender.

Out of the people on the list this time, apart from Zayn Fisher, who was worth striving to surpass, Nathalie Quinlan simply wasn’t worthy of comparison.

She suspected Nathalie Quinlan got on that list purely through backdoor dealings and connections.

Velnisa Irvin restlessly flipped a page, then forced herself to focus on reading.
