Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Fortunately, Chen Ming is a Psychic, and the strength of his Spiritual Power also makes his consciousness stronger, allowing him to somewhat effortlessly distinguish the contents of different screens.

But if it were an ordinary person, the effort required to learn these things is really beyond what most people can imagine.

Chen Ming glanced at Bai Quan and then withdrew his gaze.

Due to the rapidly changing situation at the front lines, the rear command center only needs to issue general orders, and the follow-up depends on the performance at the front.

However, just as Chen Ming thought there was nothing to do at the command center and he could attend to his own matters.

A wave of Spiritual Energy Fluctuation suddenly appeared out of thin air in the command center.

A light curtain enveloped in Spiritual Energy Fluctuation suddenly coalesced next to the console.

It’s that telecommunication Psychic.

Although telecommunication signals would usually remain only within lines, the existence of Spiritual Energy makes spreading them out of thin air feasible.

Converting telecommunication signals into other forms, such as the current optical signals sent back to the command center, was also no surprise to Chen Ming.

The point is to use Spiritual Energy similarly to how Chen Ming transmits recordings from other controlled equipment back.

This ability is usually not useful.

But during wartime, when communication equipment is restricted on the battlefield, this ability becomes pivotal.

The chaotic optical signals progressively arranged in the air, projecting a complete image in front of Chen Ming and the others.

In the image, a person appeared against the backdrop of a spaceship.

Through the spacecraft’s portholes at the back of the image, the outside starry sky and active battlefield can be seen.

By star alignment, Chen Ming could affirm that this Psychic’s current location was within the Star System raided by the Mechanical Race.

And the outside battlefield seems to be the Star System’s patrol fleet deployed early to prevent the Mechanical Race’s Mother Ship from hitting the Planet, avoiding irreparable damage.

They are not relying on the Space Station’s defensive weapons outside the Planet to fight, instead preventing the Mother Ship from entering firing range.

It’s basically a sacrificial delay to stall the Mother Ship’s advancement.

Chen Ming immediately glanced at the screen in front of Qiu Bowen.

One can see a fleet led by Offensive Level from Galor has already arrived at the Star System under attack by the Mechanical Race.

Fortunately, reinforcements dispatched from Galor have arrived in time, and in the short term, the Mechanical Race is unlikely to threaten the Planet.

The outcome now depends on which fleet wins the battle.

Retracting his gaze from the porthole outside and the screen, Chen Ming quickly noticed the appearance of the Psychic transmitting the signals back.

”Oh, it’s him.”

This face was familiar to Chen Ming.

In the past during Chen Ming and Bai Quan’s first formal collaboration.

At that time, Chen Ming provided Bai Quan with coordinates of a New Star that was under construction, suggesting Bai Quan attack it to draw Dusk’s attention.

Bai Quan brought two Main Ships over, and the initial offensive only sank one of Dusk’s battlecruisers.

But failed to take down the adjacent huge docked New Star.

So a plan for deploying a special operations team to infiltrate was proposed.

This plan was reckless and suicidal.

Yet it succeeded ultimately with Chen Ming’s assistance.

The Psychic before him was the one who communicated most with Chen Ming then, responsible for the electronic tech-related tasks.

Chen Ming remembered he was an ordinary person then, but now, he’s become a Psychic.

His name seemed to be... Lu Bai.

Just as Chen Ming saw Lu Bai, Lu Bai also saw the few people in the command center through reverse reception of the telecommunication signals.

At first, he was a bit stunned but suddenly became quite excited and said to Chen Ming: ”Mr. Chen!”

Qiu Bowen’s expression involuntarily twitched, because, at first glance, Lu Bai clearly came from the Legion, yet he didn’t address him, the current frontline commander, when receiving the communication signal, but talked to Chen Ming.

However, he didn’t intend to say anything; he didn’t want to conflict with Chen Ming right now.

At this time, Chen Ming would also not purposely embarrass Qiu Bowen and said: ”It’s been a while, Lu Bai, let’s handle the important matters first.”

After hearing Chen Ming call his name, Lu Bai seemed even more excited and responded: ”Yes!”

Without further words, Lu Bai continued executing his task once the signal exchange stabilized.

With the movement of Lu Bai’s spacecraft, Chen Ming noticed through the ship’s porthole that his vessel was currently positioned outside the ecliptic plane of the Star System, attempting to approach the Mechanical Race’s Mother Ship from a peculiar angle.

Chen Ming quietly asked Bai Quan: ”Is he trying to cut off the Mother Ship’s telecommunication signal transmissions?”

”Yes.”

”Lu Bai’s Spiritual Strength is only level three, and his communication with the command center relies on a device, but if he wants to exert Spiritual Energy outward, he must find a way to approach the Mother Ship.”

”He can use Spiritual Energy to block all signals emitted from his ship, achieving an effect akin to invisibility.”

”Then rely on past fleets and internal defense forces of the Star System to divert fire, and it’s highly likely he can sneak past.”

Chen Ming said: ”Too dangerous, failure would result in losing such a Psychic for the Legion.”

”It is dangerous, and the loss might be significant, but there’s no time or opportunity left for him to grow.”

”Facing dangers like these, the rewards upon success are equally significant.”
