Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

It was attacked by its own kind.

But that’s not what Chen Ming is focusing on right now.

Because apart from seeing the dreadful scars on the Phase Giant Beast.

He also saw in the mouth of the Phase Giant Beast that it was gripping a large chunk of crimson twisted blood tissue.

At that moment, Chen Ming knew that this blood tissue must be related to the Crimson Dimension, and it’s not a piece of flesh formed by a creature being infected by the Crimson Dimension, but rather...

Chen Ming found it hard to believe what he perceived.

The blood tissue in the mouth of the Phase Giant Beast seemed to be a force directly extracted from the Crimson Dimension by some means, and after entering Phase Space without the support of the existence inside the Crimson Dimension, it naturally formed this huge chunk of blood tissue.

This isn’t mere flesh; it is condensed knowledge.

The Phase Giant Beast landed in front of Chen Ming’s robot, spit the large chunk of blood tissue on the ground, and pushed it toward Chen Ming’s robot.

Then it took another bite of the blood tissue, tore off a piece and swallowed it.

Using the most primitive means, it managed to do something that Chen Ming couldn’t do easily, leaving Chen Ming visibly surprised.

Now he knew why the Phase Giant Beast had been chasing him all along.

It might have been keeping an eye on the Crimson Rift in his mind.

Trying to extract the power of the Crimson Dimension through the Crimson Rift.

What does it mean by this now?

Hasn’t it already obtained the power of the Crimson Dimension? What is it doing now? Sharing it with him?

Chen Ming tried to make the robot communicate as it did last time, and imbued a sense of confusion in the emitted sound, attempting to inquire about the Phase Giant Beast’s intent.

But the Phase Giant Beast kept making urging sounds and further pushed the remaining chunk of flesh toward Chen Ming’s robot.

The language used by the Phase Giant Beast was obviously not advanced enough for human-like communication.

Finding out what the Phase Giant Beast’s purpose was and what exactly occurred through communication with it seemed impossible.

So reasoning through logic was the only option.

First, considering the Phase Giant Beast’s actions, they appeared to be creatures that fed on the power of the Crimson Dimension.

And the injuries on this Giant Beast in front of Chen Ming were clearly caused by bites from its kind.

This indicated that it’s very likely that the Phase Giant Beast had snatched the Crimson flesh from its kind and was now sharing it with him.

Hiss—

Wait a minute, this situation doesn’t seem right?

In most cases, food sharing among animals is typically among the same species, right?

Although it’s hard to say if the Phase Giant Beast falls under the animal kingdom, Chen Ming felt it could probably be considered as such.

Is the Phase Giant Beast considering him as one of its kind?

Chen Ming thought about the scale the Phase Giant Beast left him last time and the traces left in his Consciousness Space by the Phase Space, which seemed plausible.

What does it mean for the Phase Giant Beast to snatch food from other kind and share it with him as one of its ”kind”?

Chen Ming sensed that the Phase Giant Beast’s sharing had a certain purpose, seemingly urging him to extract more power from the Crimson Dimension.

However, if the Crimson flesh in the mouth of the Phase Giant Beast was snatched from other Phase Giant Beast, it means other Phase Giant Beasts could actively contact the Crimson Dimension, and there would be no need to find him then.

Unless the Phase Giant Beast is a particularly savage creature, but based on Chen Ming’s observation, the Phase Giant Beast seemed to harbor deep hostility toward the Mechanical Race.

Not to mention the Phase Giant Beast would still share with him.

This simply didn’t make sense.

Moreover, if the Phase Giant Beast feeds on the power of the Crimson Dimension, then the Phase Giant Beast in front of him seemed incapable of tearing open a Crimson Rift in Phase Space to acquire food.

This added another point that didn’t make sense.

The more Chen Ming thought about it, the more confused his brain became, though his brain wasn’t of much use.

If all else fails, why not follow the Phase Giant Beast’s intent for now?

At least he’s sure about the Phase Giant Beast’s current intention, which is wanting to share the crimson blood tissue with him.

Thus, Chen Ming’s primary consciousness descended into the robot, after slightly adjusting his relatively well-recovered Spiritual Power.

Chen Ming controlled the robot to reach out and press on the crimson blood tissue in front, and the Crimson Rift in Chen Ming’s Consciousness Space slightly opened, assisting Chen Ming in absorbing this materialized Crimson Dimension knowledge.

The entire chunk of blood tissue vanished instantly before Chen Ming’s eyes.

Yet again, Chen Ming felt an advancement in his abilities.

Although it seemed not very noticeable.

This chunk of blood tissue looked quite large, enough to be held in the mouth of a massive creature a thousand meters in length, estimating a rough size of tens of meters in length, width, and thickness at the very least.

But Chen Ming, with just a touch, caused the entire chunk of blood tissue to disappear like that.

Even parts of the blood tissue not yet torn off and completely swallowed by the Phase Giant Beast were converted into Chen Ming’s power by his Spiritual Energy.

The Phase Giant Beast which suddenly bit into air immediately raised the front half of its body, shook its head, and stared at Chen Ming’s robot from side to side for a long time, emitting sounds of confusion.

Chen Ming felt that the Phase Giant Beast seemed not to be wondering why the meat disappeared but was pondering over an issue closely related to him.

”So what exactly are you puzzled about?”
