Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

However, the Insect Queen still completed this transformation process in not much time.

The Insect Queen, evolved through devouring the Immortal Spirit Tree Seed, is no longer the same in its transformation ability as it was in the past.

And the result of the transformation... is a brain.

Inside, it still stores the consciousness of that Insect Race unit, and the consciousness of this Insect Race unit hasn’t changed at all.

The Insect Queen transformed the consciousness that originally existed at the data level back, and it can treat this transformed back consciousness as a regular Insect Race individual consciousness, inserting it into the bodies of other Insect Race units.

Even after being inserted into the bodies of other units, this Insect Race unit can still reconnect with the Mechanical Hive Mind Network.

Of course, Chen Ming immediately halted this operation.

Still, the same issues as before.

Everything has to be left for later.

After saving and sealing the relevant data.

Chen Ming prepared to start the next experiment.

It is to transform ordinary Insect Race units into mechanics.

The process went smoothly.

But the result was not ideal.

The effect was too poor.

The mechanized Insect Race units that were manufactured did not exhibit any new abilities; they merely converted from biological Insect Race to mechanical Insect Race.

And due to complete mechanization, even though these Insect Race units maintain a connection with the Insect Race Hive Mind Network after becoming mechanical beings, they can no longer invoke the Insect Queen’s Spiritual Energy.

Unable to obtain organ structure strength enhancement.

Although part of Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy can still be used, compared to consuming energy while using Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy in a biological state, conducting repairs in a fully mechanized state requires extra materials, making it entirely meaningless.

Even insect specimens in a semi-mechanized state like specimen zero can directly use energy to repair those mechanical organ structures.

As for full mechanization, Chen Ming couldn’t see any significant meaning or value.

Somewhat interesting, but not much.

The most Chen Ming could think of was using it when the Mechanical Race urgently needed manpower, quickly converting Insect Race units into mechanical units.

But that’s applicable for the Mechanical Race alone, as they can transform other creatures into their combat power.

Chen Ming does not need to transform Insect Race into Mechanical Race to get on the battlefield.

As expected, in the end, it’s still about transforming the Mechanical Enlightenment Nerve.

This is the primary function of this device.

And that Black Mist Enlightenment Nerve that Chen Ming had extracted some time ago had always remained intact, ready to participate in this experiment at any time.

One could only say that Chen Ming’s involvement in the Spiritual Ability Research Institute project over this time was not in vain.

Through learning in the project, he can now maintain the Enlightenment Nerve for the long term without it dying from being separated from the body for too long.

Until today, the Black Mist Enlightenment Nerve can finally be used.

Chen Ming directly used Spiritual Energy to retrieve the Black Mist Enlightenment Nerve stored in a cask device in the ship’s cultivation chamber and sent it into the transformation device.

The transformation device immediately received the Enlightenment Nerve and began its operation.

This transformation process was remarkably fast.

In just a blink of an eye.

The Black Mist Enlightenment Nerve entirely vanished.

What remained was a ping-pong ball-sized black spherical object emitting Spiritual Energy Fluctuation.

This is the Black Mist Core.

And the byproducts like the Spiritual Energy Essence that escaped during the transformation of the Black Mist Enlightenment Nerve were collected by the facility.

Injected into several Mechanical Enlightenment Nerves that Chen Ming had successfully replicated.

Chen Ming hasn’t yet decided on the use of the Black Mist Core, after all, the Destruction Core created by the Mechanical Race is meant to be installed in the front of the Spine Peak Cannon.

He currently doesn’t have a Spine Peak Cannon at hand.

So for the time being, it can be used as an additional Spiritual Ability trigger.

This thing is somewhat similar to the Chaos Origin, but there’s no worry about triggering any situation that would cause a Mind Breaking Entity.

As for the Black Mist Mechanical Enlightenment Nerve.

Chen Ming has already thought of its application.

They will become part of the unique abilities of special Insect Race individuals which can be considered as part of the Imperial Guard’s capabilities.
