Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

The Mechanical Race’s mothership differs from the Empire’s Dusk’s main ship in several ways.

The mothership of the Mechanical Race also serves as a mobile factory to a certain extent.

It can use the factory to manufacture war supplies and various Mechanical Race units, and can also utilize the factory for self-repair.

As long as supplies are adequately prepared, the Mechanical Race’s mothership can operate for a long time without needing frequent port visits to replenish war supplies.

Unless supplies are depleted or it suffers significant damage that cannot be self-repaired, it generally won’t return to the giant docks or maintenance centers.

The reason the four motherships landed this time was due to Chen Ming nearly exhausting their supplies with his hundreds of thousands of Insect Race cruisers.

Chen Ming needs to create more opportunities that force the mothership to act.

Aside from the issue of supply consumption, just the increased number of engagements between the mothership and the Insect Race gives Chen Ming a greater chance to influence the mothership through the Insect Race’s blood tissue.

The method to force the mothership to act is simple: create a situation where only the mothership can solve the problem.

Chen Ming opened the starmap on the supreme point’s control console before him.

Compared to last time he viewed the starmap, there were additional markings on it, marking the important surfaces Bai Quan had previously mentioned.

Among them, ten of the most prominent markers are the Mechanical Race’s spiritual signal generators, two giant docks, and seven star gates.

These ten star systems hold the most important information for the Mechanical Race.

To force the Mechanical Race’s mothership to deploy, causing trouble in these locations should be the easiest.

Moreover, it’s just right that these places, whether star gates or giant docks, or the Mechanical Race’s spiritual signal generators, all appear valuable to Chen Ming.

Especially the star gates and giant docks.

The former has significant implications for Chen Ming’s colony.

After all, the location for Chen Ming’s future colony is incredibly far from the Empire, and the existence of the star gate can bridge this distance.

And as long as both ends of the star gate are under his control, this distance bridge can even be one-way.

Although star gates have problems like high energy consumption.

But for Chen Ming, energy is one of the least important issues.

With the presence of the Insect Race, he can completely use the planet as fuel, converting it into energy crystals.

To compensate for the shortcomings of using star gates.

Given the opportunity to access the star gate, he could just take over the entire star gate.

As for the latter, the giant dock, as the production base for main ships, its value speaks for itself.

After the Insect Race’s fleet of hundreds of thousands of cruisers faced off against three allied main ships, choosing to fight to the death without retreat, but the greatest outcome was the complete annihilation of the accompanying lower-tier fleet while the three main ships only suffered minor armor damage,

Chen Ming has gone from coveting the main ship to feeling it is a must-have.

There’s no need to elaborate on the dock that can produce main ships.

Although he has blueprints, what he obtained were early blueprints, relatively outdated technology.

Moreover, the cost of building can’t be lower than the cost of taking.

If you can take it, why build it?

However, all these important places on the starmap are located inside the Mechanical Race’s star realm.

Although Chen Ming can rely on his spiritual energy to perform teleportation raids inside the Mechanical Race’s star realm and retreat with spiritual energy if pursued.

But if he fails to achieve his goal in the first raid, and his target is discovered by the Mechanical Race, they might concentrate their forces to protect those critical landmarks, making subsequent actions more troublesome.

So Chen Ming’s target still has to be focused on the star systems near the border of the Mechanical Race’s star realm for the time being.

Using attacks on these areas as a means to attract the mothership’s attention.

After all, the mothership is also one of his targets.

As long as his actions can attract the mothership, it’s worth it; just continue slowly.

Chen Ming scanned the starmap before him.

Soon, he chose a star zone on the edge of the Mechanical Race’s star realm, located within a small nebula.

This star zone within the nebula is rich in mineral resources.

Not only the various asteroid mineral resources in space, the surface and underground of most planets in this nebula have abundant mineral deposits.

These star systems are the Mechanical Race’s crucial resource production areas and can be considered vital to the Mechanical Race’s logistics.

At the same time, these mineral veins can become an important energy source for the Insect Race.

After identifying the target for the next action.

Chen Ming shifted his gaze towards the Insect Queen’s side.

The Insect Queen is still on the Insect Hive Planet where resource excavation of the planet’s core has almost started.

And this Insect Hive Planet has now substantially shrunk.

A fleet larger in scale than before is quietly waiting in orbit.

It seems it won’t be long before the entire planet disappears from the universe.

This isn’t important.

Anyway, there are countless planets in the universe without any developmental value, existing without serving any purpose.

For the Insect Race, these planets without developmental value are treasure troves of endless energy, untouched by anyone or anything.

At the moment Chen Ming instructed the Insect Race fleet to begin the next step.
