Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

The Phase Giant Beast certainly couldn’t respond to Chen Ming’s question.

It simply floated gently like last time, circled around Chen Ming a few times, and then, as before, flew into the sky again, performing a warp and disappearing before Chen Ming’s eyes.

”...”

Chen Ming felt unconsciously anxious as he watched the spot where the Phase Giant Beast disappeared.

Because he knew this Phase Giant Beast was surely going to its kind to snatch the crimson meat chunk again.

During its last attempt to snatch, its kind had torn off a piece of meat from its left wing. This time it might also get injured.

Moreover, it was getting hurt because of him.

If the injury turns out to be too severe...

What was the Phase Giant Beast doing all of this for?

Why exactly does it do this?

Chen Ming felt that he really needed to come up with a plan.

Think of a way to communicate more deeply with the Phase Giant Beast.

Chen Ming’s thoughts couldn’t change the fact that the Phase Giant Beast had left.

He could only continue to focus his attention on the assault he had launched against the Mechanical Race.

At this moment, it’s been more than an hour since Chen Ming’s Black Mist Prosthetic first launched an attack on the Border Star System of the Mechanical Race.

There was nothing particularly special to mention about the situation on the border.

It was just the Black Mist Prosthetic leading a large fleet on an invasion mission.

Normally, an Insect Race Fleet attacking a heavily defended Mechanical Race Star System would surely mean certain death; even without the mother ship, they would ultimately be wiped out.

But that’s assuming normal circumstances.

With Chen Ming continuously providing Spiritual Power to the Black Mist Prosthetic contributing unceasingly to the war, the fleet led by the Black Mist Prosthetic even had the momentum to break through the border defenses with a single sweep, directly charging into the heart of the Mechanical Race.

Basically, it was like the Insect Race Fleet relying on the aid of Black Mist Spiritual Energy, the bizarre effect of using Chen Ming’s Maintenance Spiritual Energy, and a fleet count far exceeding that of the Mechanical Race Fleet, to sweep through.

All defensive structures on Mechanical Race Planets overrun by Black Mist were destroyed, leaving only ruins of Mechanical Race colonies.

Moreover, the Insect Race Fleet left Insect Race eggs on numerous planets within and outside the Mechanical Race border.

Once these Insect Races hatch, they will further disrupt the Mechanical Race.

Even if the Mechanical Race destroys the fleet led by the Black Mist Prosthetic, they won’t regain the planets occupied by the Insect Race easily.

And just as the fleet led by the Black Mist Prosthetic was triumphantly advancing.

The war near the Mechanical Race’s Nebula Region continued.

Although there were more fleets here than those led by the Black Mist Prosthetic, after being split into dozens, their number was insufficient to crush the Mechanical Race in a single Star Realm.

So the fleet losses in each Star System were rather considerable.

However, Chen Ming’s goal was just to deliver eggs to the planets, so once the goal was achieved, fleets without losses immediately headed to other Star Systems to provide additional aid.

This operation reduced overall fleet losses for the Insect Race and helped achieve the goals more quickly.

And just as Chen Ming injected eggs into all valuable planets within his first batch of targeted fifty Star Systems, and prepared to command the fleet towards the next batch of target Star Systems.

The real target of Chen Ming’s assault, the Mechanical Race’s mother ship, finally couldn’t hold back.

The Mechanical Race locked onto the final concentration position of Chen Ming’s fleet.

Before the fleet’s departure, the mother ship led a fleet of over ten thousand Mechanical Race Cruisers, appearing in front of Chen Ming’s Insect Race Fleet.

The warp fluctuation upon fleet arrival and its fierce aftermath almost covered half of the Star System.

According to Chen Ming’s estimation, the Mechanical Race’s Star Realm should have a total of around thirty thousand to forty thousand Cruisers.

In previous battles, Chen Ming had already destroyed over ten thousand.

This time, the Mechanical Race brought out over ten thousand more, obviously putting forth their utmost efforts.

But this number still wasn’t enough in face of the overwhelming absolute number of Chen Ming’s Insect Race Cruisers.

Even though Chen Ming couldn’t deal with the Mechanical Race’s mother ship, at least none of the Cruisers that came here would be able to escape.

However, Chen Ming immediately discovered that the Mechanical Race mother ship they dispatched was the one that first clashed with the Insect Race Fleet and had gone for early maintenance.

It seemed that the Mechanical Race guessed some of Chen Ming’s possible abilities, hence specially dispatched this mother ship to specifically eliminate the Insect Race Fleet.

Still unwilling to deploy their backup forces?

Then Chen Ming was not intending to send off so many Insect Race fleets.

He prepared to start utilizing Maintenance Spiritual Energy to pull at the Mechanical Race fleet, attempting to truly crush the Mechanical Race mother ship head-on.

Yet before Chen Ming could do so.

Suddenly, in the center of the assembled Insect Race Fleet, some Insect Race warships started to dissolve.

They melted like candles and vanished like burnt-out paper flakes into space.

No warning, no traces.

But Chen Ming had already figured out what was happening, his expression extremely grim.

This is... Destruction.
