Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chen Ming immediately activated his spiritual energy, causing the iron atoms that initially maintained a distance from the mother ship to approach the location where the Destruction Carrier was teleporting.

Devices were immediately manufactured to record the detailed teleportation wave data of this mother ship upon its departure.

Through this data, they confirmed the destination coordinates to which the Destruction was heading.

As he had expected, it was the Star System where the Star Gate was located within this Star Zone of the Mechanical Race.

It must be said that the Mechanical Race is indeed affluent.

The Empire could only ensure that there is at least one Star Gate per Star Realm, while the Mechanical Race installed a Star Gate in every Star Zone within this small Star Realm.

Although the cost of activating a Star Gate depends on the distance between two Star Gates, the value of a Star Gate speaks for itself, especially singulatries that can only be acquired through natural wormholes.

That is what’s truly important.

Chen Ming actually has some thoughts or rather quite a lot of thoughts about the Star Gate, but now is not the time.

For now, Chen Ming chose to let the Insect Queen squeeze out around a thousand Insect Race cruisers, and then had each Insect Race cruiser lock onto a star system within the Mechanical Race Star Realm.

They locked onto star systems that were considered to be weakly defended by the Mechanical Race, or even completely undefended.

Because the vast majority of these star systems consisted of barren planets with no development value.

Only a very small number of the thousand Insect Race cruisers targeted valuable star systems, but these differing target cruisers were essentially just bait to mislead the Mechanical Race.

The reason was the same as before.

Previously, Chen Ming did not intend to teleport the fleet to the Mechanical Race’s important planets and star systems because those locations undoubtedly had a heavy military presence, going there would be suicidal, and even approaching the planets was unlikely.

Therefore, what the Insect Race had to do was very clear: to go to those barren planets and deploy eggs.

The Mechanical Race might not necessarily go out of their way to protect those barren planets who would waste resources to guard planets with no development value?

Thus, even a single cruiser might have the chance to reach a planet’s surface under the Mechanical Race’s encirclement to deposit eggs.

Of course, the prerequisite was that the cruiser’s target shouldn’t be star systems developed by the Mechanical Race.

Lack of special protection doesn’t mean no protection. Even planets with no development value would at least have a surveillance system covering the entire star system, capable of detecting the invasion of an Insect Race cruiser and dispatching a fleet to deal with it.

The Mechanical Race would quickly discover this further action Chen Ming took to allow more Insect Race to infiltrate the Mechanical Race’s Star Realm.

However, the Mechanical Race wouldn’t be able to prevent it at all.

They couldn’t even handle those undeveloped planets in the logistic star systems, let alone the random star systems Chen Ming picked.

Of course, these cruisers about to set off could be considered doomed.

Exchanging a thousand cruisers for more information on the Mechanical Race’s Star Realm being parasitized by the Insect Race is quite worthwhile.

But Chen Ming’s real purpose for doing so wasn’t about these Insect Race cruisers and the planets they were about to parasitize.

The reason he thought of doing so wasn’t about this matter, and he didn’t even fully monitor all of these cruisers about to set out again to confirm whether they successfully parasitized afterward.

He only focused on one particular Insect Race cruiser among them.

The destination of this cruiser was actually a highly developed star system of the Mechanical Race.

That is, the star system where the Star Gate of the Mechanical Race that the Destruction Carrier just teleported to was located.

Not much preparation was needed.

Once all the Insect Race cruisers confirmed their targets, the teleportation began.

In just a dozen seconds, more than a thousand Insect Race cruisers appeared in over a thousand different star systems, approaching the nearest non-gaseous planet.

This time, the number of star systems affected by the Insect Race fleet far exceeded before. Although each star system only had one cruiser, it naturally triggered the Mechanical Race’s response systems, attracting nearby Mechanical Race fleets for encirclement and suppression.

But before the Mechanical Race fleets could destroy Chen Ming’s Insect Race ships, the Insect Race ships had enough time to inject their eggs onto those barren planets.

The Insect Race ships that were heading to star systems developed by the Mechanical Race were, of course, immediately encircled and suppressed by the Mechanical Race fleets.

Only one managed to temporarily evade the Mechanical Race by luck and successfully laid eggs on a planet.

Regarding the cruiser headed for the Mechanical Race Star Gate, according to the Empire’s subdivision of the Mechanical Race Star Zone, it should be considered the Insect Race cruiser of the seventh Star Gate Star System.

The moment the teleportation ended, they were attacked by the Destruction.

The teleportation wave appears at both the starting and ending points when the Teleportation Engine activates, so Chen Ming wasn’t surprised at how quickly the Mechanical Race reacted.

Anyway, his goal was accomplished.

Just before the Insect Race cruiser Chen Ming was focused on was destroyed by the Destruction, he saw that the Star Gate in the star system hadn’t been activated, nor showed any signs of being activated.

Meanwhile, the Destruction Carrier seemed to have already left Phase Space through the Phase facilities there and was orbiting a planet, seemingly ready to descend at any time, only to turn its cannons due to the Insect Race cruiser and fire upon them.

These were precisely the evidences that the Destruction would be stationed here in the future.
