Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 247: Chapter 106: Plans and Coincidences Within Plans_2

But Chen Ming distinctly remembered that the situation seemed different from before.

Moreover, with so many things he had modified, why did the panel display only this robot he had just modified?

Chen Ming was puzzled, so he walked down from the spaceship, pulling out the handgun he always carried with him.

Then Chen Ming noticed that the handgun he hadn’t examined closely for a long time, which he had modified, could be directly opened to reveal the panel.

Just like opening the spaceship’s panel, there was no difference.

Chen Ming could directly open its panel to transform, repair, and dismantle it.

Even though there was no power source and related equipment inside the handgun, making it impossible for Chen Ming to control its movements, this also proved that he could indeed control all the mechanical items he had modified.

Completely different from when he was on Rimu Star.

Maybe during one of the significant improvements or breakthroughs in his abilities, Chen Ming acquired such capability, but he had never realized it.

As for why the panel displayed only the robot.

It’s probably because it only shows modified objects with their own power source, capable of autonomous movement.

Those unable to move by themselves, like the handgun, would not be displayed.

”Hmm...”

Chen Ming placed the handgun back into the holster on his waist and turned back to the spaceship.

It seemed he had stayed in peaceful places for too long, to the point of not noticing changes in his abilities.

Even though he had emphasized upon leaving Rimu Star that the Human World was more perilous and should not be forgotten.

In the end, he wasn’t even clear about his own complete abilities.

But fortunately, now he knew, and the timing wasn’t too late.

Moreover, he also realized that the effects of his abilities were continuously increasing, extending, and strengthening.

Perhaps in the future, with advancements in his Spiritual Energy, he might achieve even more powerful effects.

He might even control the spaceship remotely in the end.

Chen Ming didn’t spend much time imagining the future, as it was something he needed to do, not just think about.

After returning to the spaceship.

Chen Ming didn’t use Iron Ore No.’s signal transmitter; instead, he directly controlled the robot with his consciousness to perform some simple actions.

Operating the robot with his consciousness was no different from operating the spaceship; Chen Ming could effortlessly accomplish many tasks.

What he intended to do afterwards was naturally among them.

However, today Chen Ming still planned to go through the day normally.

And using Iron Ore No., he remotely made it function inside the factory, slightly showcasing its capabilities.

Letting Dusk know what Chen Ming was doing, subtly hinting beforehand, giving them a heads-up.

The next day.

After completing the repair, and successfully repairing a peculiar weapon Dusk had provided, capable of firing strange ammunition loaded with some type of liquid.

Chen Ming first summarized the results of today’s work, finding that his abilities not only worked on solids but also exhibited the same effect on liquids.

This made Chen Ming feel he was one step closer to the repair of nuclear weapons.

Then Chen Ming, during the remaining work hours, directly spoke to Brilliant before the communication was cut: ”I have something to discuss.”

Brilliant was evidently very satisfied with Chen Ming’s cooperation over the past few days and promptly responded: ”Go ahead.”

”I want to visit your mining sites and attempt to work on underground mineral extraction.”

Although Dusk hadn’t restricted Chen Ming’s movement routes before, when Chen Ming now made the request, he could directly express his desire to visit those mines with advanced resources.

This wasn’t something that Chen Ming expected to be absolutely rejected in his plan.

After all, the advanced mineral resources were just there, even if Chen Ming wanted to extract them.

But to ensure things transitioned smoothly without arousing suspicion, not inciting sudden excessive vigilance from Dusk, or extremely close surveillance on him.

Chen Ming wasn’t about to directly express a desire to visit those mining sites obviously essential to Dusk for advanced metal extraction.

Therefore, Chen Ming opted for a more ordinary mining site instead, which had a tungsten vein he had been collecting over the recent days, to make his need not sound too abrupt.

And Brilliant agreed rather quickly to Chen Ming’s application for early entry into the mining site.

But they also placed certain limits, allowing Chen Ming just one day to enter Dusk’s mining site.

However, for Chen Ming, one day was more than enough.

He just needed to make some preparations.

Another day quickly arrived.

This morning, Dusk handed Chen Ming another new peculiar weapon.

Its appearance seemed quite simplistic, not even on the same level as standard weapons; no designer would present this as a finished product.

Chen Ming estimated it was probably something newly produced by Dusk.

Because the weapon’s name was [Electric Charge Supply Emitter 01 Test Model].

And all the bullets it loaded were extremely special as well.

These bullets were all charging-type bullets.

Similar to having batteries loaded inside, but these were just ordinary batteries without any enhancements effects on the bullets.

This evident test Chen Ming didn’t comment on, directly choosing to repair just like with the peculiar weapons from previous days.
