Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 207: Chapter 96 Ruler, Trump Card_2

It also means that the entire hyperspace of the star system is completely blocked.

Entry is possible, but exit is not.

This effect doesn’t just affect Chen Ming; any ship near this star system, including those on the battlefield’s edge watching the spectacle, cannot leave hyperspace now.

However, most of the ships that were gathered at the Superspace Channel waiting for the battle to end have already left.

Those who couldn’t wait have long since found a remote corner close to the star system to exit, and they’re flying the rest of the way on their own ship’s power.

Those who can wait knew what to do the moment the Ruler appeared.

So after the Gravity Well was locked, only the military and the company’s fleets remained within the hyperspace of the star system.

The quick escape routes were cut off by the Gravity Well Locking Device.

The first solution that came to Chen Ming’s mind was to resolve the issue.

This device, as he knows, is actually a derivative device called a Gravity Well Stabilizer Anchor.

Chen Ming remembered learning about the working principle of this device, and out of interest, he even researched what this derivative device actually was.

Therefore, he also knew how to combat it.

And there were several solutions.

The first is to move further away and simply activate the Superspace Navigation System in another unblocked star system.

But Chen Ming is very clear about why the military cruisers are here. Even if there are speed limits in hyperspace, making large ships slower than small ones, the Teleportation Engines of the Ruler are not just for show.

This method was discarded by Chen Ming almost immediately.

The second is to dismantle the device.

The Ruler had just dropped the device over the Gravity Well; if it can be dismantled, the Gravity Well of the star system will naturally recover.

However, the Ruler Level Cruiser is currently positioned precisely in the way, aligning the company fleet, the Ruler, and the Gravity Well in a straight line.

To dismantle the device, the Ruler must be dismantled first.

Chen Ming considered this for half a second and discarded the idea from his mind.

The third method is the Teleportation Engine, a device that can be activated without a Gravity Well.

But Chen Ming also knows that compared to the previous two ideas, the Teleportation Engine is even more impractical. Not to mention that it’s only equipped on cruisers, even if there were a lower-grade version, he couldn’t afford it, let alone find one on the spot.

Fourth, the ship engine itself has sufficient output power to forcibly travel through hyperspace without the effect of a Gravity Well, returning to the normal universe environment.

However, this required level of engine output power only exists in theory.

At least, until today, Chen Ming doesn’t know of any ship engine with the power to enter and exit hyperspace on its own.

These four theoretical solutions that Chen Ming once read about in books are all ones he cannot apply in practice right now.

Chen Ming is now a bit doubtful about what he actually learned back then.

Other means of requesting aid are also unable to swiftly resolve the current situation.

The boss seems to be working on a solution, but the signal from the boss’s side is cut off and can’t be relied upon for now.

The company must already have received the news of the military’s attack, and there’s definitely support coming, but capable support that can counter the cruiser probably won’t arrive in time.

Furthermore, after the Ruler arrived, it immediately used electronic warfare equipment to block the entire star system’s hyperspace communication system.

Additionally, the captain mentioned that it’s uncertain whether the company could receive any messages at all, so we cannot count on that.

As for the military side.

The military mentioned rebellion, and rebellion is certainly met with suppression.

But the military fleet has just received the news of the rebellion; when the suppressing fleet will arrive is completely uncertain.

Moreover, judging by the military fleet’s actions, Chen Ming thinks this rebellion seems dubious; he believes this so-called rebellion should be in quotes.

Various external assistance methods are also unable to provide support.

That seems to leave Chen Ming with only the final option.

Chen Ming quickly switched control over his ships, confirming the positions of those that belong to him, especially the location of several Dusk Ships.

Finally, he switched control back to the Armor Piercing Level.

Then Chen Ming didn’t hesitate to direct the Iron Ore No. toward the direction of the Superspace Channel furthest from the Ruler.

Although the outcome is likely already decided, an attempt must still be made.

He also had his strongest offensive measure, the Armor Piercing Level, hide behind the other company’s ships, ready to attempt a counterattack at any time.

The large weapons of the Armor Piercing Level are theoretically adequate to threaten ships of the Cruiser class.

Today, he’s willing to risk everything to tear a piece off the Ruler.

Although Chen Ming just devised a response, he is actually prepared not to come out of this hyperspace alive.

But what he never expected was.

The Ruler Level Heavy Cruiser, after completely locking down the Gravity Well, directly activated its four large weapons.

But its target wasn’t the Sinda Corporation’s fleet, nor was it Chen Ming, who had already moved out of range due to speed restrictions in hyperspace.

It was targeting its own military fleet.

Moreover, it was the flagship, the Law Enforcement cruiser with special paint and modifications.

And then Chen Ming once again witnessed the might of the Cruiser.

Large weapons specifically adapted for the Cruiser, with an energy supply capable of simultaneously powering several large weapons.
