Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 231: Chapter 102 Dusk’s Probe, Terrifying Learning Efficiency_2

Because the Gamma AB on his panel is listed on its own separate panel, and doesn’t require Chen Ming to open the Refraction or Warrior-modified panels to find them.

Maybe if Chen Ming gets a chance to come into contact with the Dusk AI Core, he could directly control it?

Before Chen Ming actually touches a Dusk core that he hasn’t controlled yet, no one can say for sure.

After all, Chen Ming never expected that his ability to control the spaceship could also extend to controlling the AI Core, even continuing the control after the core was removed from the spaceship.

Since it’s displayed so distinctly on the panel, Chen Ming’s idea can’t be completely dismissed.

This requires Chen Ming to try it personally.

As for the opportunity to try, he will have to figure out a way to obtain it himself.

Directly contacting the Dusk AI that controls a star system is a bit exaggerated.

However, figuring out a way to contact some isolated Dusk AI components and manually controlling them one by one is definitely not impossible.

Nevertheless, Dusk definitely won’t give Chen Ming a chance to contact the Dusk AI.

Moreover, if Chen Ming is kept restricted to these three factories on this planet, then contacting the Dusk AI becomes even more impossible.

So the first step for Chen Ming’s idea to be realized is to be able to get out first.

Even if it’s not himself, just letting the Iron Ore No. fly out would be the same.

Being on Dusk’s territory, as a definite source of danger to Dusk, he must be able to take the first step to lay the foundation for his subsequent plans.

Time passed.

Night quickly fell.

When Chen Ming lifted his head from the text on the terminal, he realized it was already eleven at night.

Actually, Brilliant had come over to remind Chen Ming to finish work at five in the afternoon.

However, Chen Ming ignored it and continued studying Dusk’s books, staying in the factory until now.

And just now, Chen Ming had finished learning all the professional books currently provided by Dusk.

Chen Ming wasn’t in a hurry to make any other moves; he continued to lean back against the chair in the factory, reviewing all the technical knowledge he learned throughout the day.

After a round of review from beginning to end, Chen Ming could be said to have completely mastered these technologies.

Chen Ming moved his body, which had been stiff for a long time, and found Xiao Shi, who was sleeping in a corner, in the factory.

He put on the protective suit again and walked out of the factory.

Outside, it was bright; the nighttime at eleven on Earth Time had nothing to do with this planet.

Chen Ming could see the entire colony under the illumination of the star in the star system, the operating Earth Core Melting Furnace Power Tower.

And in the distance, the flat, almost featureless gray ground.

The contrast between prosperity and lifelessness, and the spaceships passing continuously through the sky, made Chen Ming feel the power of Dusk again.

Returning from such a place would not be easy, and there was a definite possibility of losing everything trying to take something from Dusk alone.

But that didn’t change Chen Ming’s mind, staying here to grow old and die was not what he wanted.

Moreover, since he’s already here, wouldn’t it be a waste not to figure out a way to take something back?

Chen Ming returned to the Iron Ore No.

However, he did not hurry to rest in the living quarters but sat in the captain’s chair and started the Iron Ore No.

Immediately, a communication request was sent over, originating from Brilliant.

Sure enough, Dusk had been watching him all along.

Without much hesitation, Chen Ming directly connected the communication.

Brilliant immediately asked, ”Mr. Chen, what are you intending to do?”

”I’ve been in the factory for more than ten hours today, I want to go somewhere else to take a walk.”

”Please, it’s best not to, just now several asteroids approached the sky above the colony, although they’ve largely been destroyed, some pieces are about to strike this side of the planet. You could be attacked by asteroids if you leave the colony’s range.”

”Oh, well, then I won’t go.”

Chen Ming very decisively expressed that he abandoned the idea.

Anyway, starting up the spaceship was just a probe of Dusk’s attitude.

Since he probed that Dusk’s attitude was a direct refusal, restricting his activity to the factory, Chen Ming wouldn’t insist on going out.

However, before hanging up, Chen Ming intentionally or unintentionally said, ”If there’s a chance, I’d still like to relax a bit.”

”The living environment of the factory is indeed very good for survival, but survival isn’t enough for a human being, I would like some more comfortable environment, or perhaps some greenery.”

Brilliant seemed to trigger a keyword and asked Chen Ming, ”Is this your request?”

”Sort of.”

”Understood, I will try to meet your needs.”

”That’s good then.”

”Oh, by the way, let me ask you something.”

Chen Ming seemed to suddenly remember something and asked Brilliant, ”Regarding your periodic reviews, when exactly do they happen?”

”Is it based on the resources I consume, like when I use up my monthly quota, or is it time-based? I didn’t see anything specific about it during the daytime.”

Brilliant promptly gave Chen Ming an accurate answer, ”It’s fixed at a month for evaluating your learning status, divided into three grades: unqualified, qualified, and excellent.”

”Qualified means the resource allocation is the same as the previous month, there will be adjustments for excellent or unqualified grades.”

”The detailed resource allocation list is in the main control computer of the factory. If you haven’t understood the resource allocation rules from Gamma A, I can explain them to you now.”
