Chapter 204: Chapter 95: The Suddenly Halted Battle_3

He never thought a Destroyer could have such a big impact on the battle, and he now confirms they indeed don’t have the means to deal with the Armor-Piercing class.

So there was no consideration in his mind of dealing with the Armor-Piercing class immediately.

Instead, he chose another strategy.

To engage in a direct head-on fight with the ships of the Sinda Corporation, exchanging pieces.

Just the few rounds of shooting by the Armor-Piercing had allowed the Commander to determine the cooldown time for the Armor-Piercing’s large weapon was fifteen seconds. This seems short, but in the midst of battleship combat, it is somewhat long.

A fifteen-second vacuum period means that during this time, the Corporation’s fleet has combat strength similar to before, and even less.

Because the fleet’s other ships need to share the firepower for the Armor-Piercing, this is the only chance.

Honestly speaking.

The Commander originally had a very clear advantage in the battle, but in the end, he was forced to rely solely on the number of ships to exchange pieces. Saying this out loud felt quite embarrassing.

But to the Commander, whether it’s embarrassing or not doesn’t matter; victory is the most important thing.

After losing another Destroyer and a Guard, during the short fifteen-second vacuum period of the Armor-Piercing class.

The Commander found the weakest point in the Corporation’s line and commanded the remaining fleet to launch the fiercest attack like desperate men.

With determination focused solely on achieving victory without care for losses.

The Patrol Team ships that usually were only responsible for patrolling the Space Station suddenly found it hard to hold up.

Even the people onboard the ships sent by the Corporation itself were somewhat panicked by the military’s desperate fighting stance.

Even though Chen Ming could destroy at least one Destroyer every fifteen seconds, the overall situation began to favor the military.

After all, the military is the military. No matter how much combat experience the Corporation’s people have, they can’t compare to those who lick blood from the edge of knives.

And Chen Ming, who had the space to observe the overall situation of the battlefield, naturally noticed the Commander’s intentions.

The military is now desperately exchanging damage ratios.

If the ships protecting the Armor-Piercing are worn out, then having only the Armor-Piercing ship left would mean nothing.

Even if the military doesn’t exchange pieces at the original one-to-two damage ratio, but rather one-to-one, the Corporation won’t be able to withstand it.

But Chen Ming doesn’t have many options now.

Panel repair can indeed accelerate the cooldown time of the Automatic Pulse Laser, but the attack frequency of the Automatic Pulse Laser isn’t only affected by cooldown time.

There’s also the restriction of Energy.

The Antiparticle Energy Excitation Module needs time to charge in order to provide Energy for the Automatic Pulse Laser to fire.

This is something that repair cannot fix.

So the current battlefield situation is to compete on who kills faster; the side that kills faster will win in the end.

Because of the advantage the Armor-Piercing brought, Chen Ming’s position instantaneously moved to a balance due to disparities in other aspects.

Controlling the attack from the Armor-Piercing class, Chen Ming increasingly felt the pressure mounting.

The military’s obvious approach didn’t leave him with any good countermeasures.

Also, Chen Ming’s Spiritual Power was nearing its limit after the long battle, but he continued to use his brain, now causing a constant stinging sensation, to think.

Thinking about whether he had to use his last resort.

But at this moment, Chen Ming suddenly noticed a disruption appear within the military’s line, and it was a disturbance in their coordination.

A few ships suddenly seemed to experience internal conflict and began fighting independently.

Moreover, quite a few vessels suddenly ceased fire voluntarily and began to withdraw from the battlefield.

What’s going on?

At this point, Chen Ming had already taken control of all the Destroyers within the fleet and had returned to the Cow Herder.

He saw the captain just as he received a message voluntarily sent by the military.

”The head of the RM-2 Military Outpost is identified as a rebel; his orders are considered void, and review authority is not granted.”

”Please immediately cease hostilities; the military will provide appropriate compensation to your Corporation afterwards.”

The captain was filled with rage at this moment.

Can the military stop just because they say so? How will they account for the people lost?

But his reason forced him to suppress the rage and started limiting the actions of his ships, coordinating a gradual retreat.

Just moments ago, both sides were engaged in fierce shooting and even ready to exchange lives directly in combat; suddenly, they became peaceful.

What’s happening?

Not only were Chen Ming and the captain questioning this, but even the Commander had these thoughts in his mind right now.

He had just received a joint message from his Legion, the Star Realm government, and the Star Realm Military.

The head of the small Military Outpost collecting Sky Steel in the RM-2 Star System, who is also the head of the Military Outpost closest to the Pirate Space Station, misused his authority to mobilize military resources.

Upon discovery, he refused to provide any reasons for his misconduct and acted on his own, soon categorized as rebellious behavior.

The timing was just as recent.

The Commander’s intention was only to engage in combat and take Chen Ming, definitely not to associate with rebellious behavior.

Thus he immediately chose to halt the battle and distanced himself from the Corporation’s fleet.

Most of the fleet who hadn’t completely lost their senses had no objections; they didn’t want to be affected by their superior’s rebellion either.

Those remaining who wanted to continue the fight were mostly those who had become blinded by rage during combat.

But on a single ship, not everyone could have gone blind with rage, so the entire military fleet followed the Commander’s orders.
