Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 230: Chapter 102: Dusk’s Trial, Terrifying Learning Efficiency

Just as Sinda Corporation was preparing to deploy the experimental main ship to find Chen Ming.

Chen Ming, located at the Dusk industrial colony, was still studying the technology of Dusk.

Using his experience and the technology he had already mastered, he was quickly and efficiently understanding the design logic of the Dusk ship.

Chen Ming could clearly feel that the specialized books provided by Dusk had been thoughtfully considered for him.

These books were mostly rooted in basic human and Dusk universal technologies, gradually adding additional knowledge bit by bit.

Moreover, before officially starting to read, Chen Ming flipped through each book slightly, sensing that the knowledge in different books increased in learning difficulty gradually, yet all fit within a larger framework.

It felt to him as if the books were the kind Dusk would provide for their own kind to read, which was quite absurd.

However, when Chen Ming thought about how Dusk couldn’t just upload book content into a core database to learn, and that they too needed to study, it seemed not so peculiar.

Thus, Chen Ming chose two books that he felt were the simplest and closely related to start reading.

One was ”Basic Adaptability and Adaptation Conditions of the Radiation Energy System and Energy Weapons,” and the other was ”Ship Radiation Energy System Radiation Energy Diversion Tutorial.”

The contents of the books were very foundational, discussing how to effectively utilize solid spaces within Dusk ships, which had lots of usable excess space internally.

After some time, Chen Ming successfully digested the content of both books completely.

He also learned some standardized technologies.

In terms of the panel, one was an [Extended Radiant Energy Coil], and the other was a [Radiant Energy Distribution Device].

Chen Ming was eager to try them out immediately but held back for the time being.

He decided to jot these things down first to see if the books he planned to read later would offer any other similarly valuable transformations for the spaceship.

Iron Ore No. is now his best testing subject, and these tested technologies would be options for future modifications on Chen Ming’s ship.

Before continuing with the next specialized book, Chen Ming put down the terminal.

Balancing work and rest is necessary.

Back on Rimu Star, Chen Ming would take breaks on some nights to go hunting or engage in other activities to ease his mind while working.

Now on Dusk’s planet, he couldn’t go out, but selective relaxation was always needed.

As Chen Ming put down the terminal, he casually checked the time.

It’s nine thirty in the morning.

At this time...

Chen Ming was a bit surprised, remembering he had just finished visiting three factories at eight thirty.

It meant he spent only an hour reading both books and didn’t just skim through them but fully grasped the techniques and content in them.

Chen Ming realized his current learning efficiency was somewhat astonishing.

It was almost like reading through once and understanding completely.

The reading process was the learning process.

In disbelief, Chen Ming pressed his temples and closed his eyes.

He hadn’t noticed before, but after discovering his exaggerated learning capability, he suddenly realized the change within him.

Chen Ming could clearly feel the increased flexibility of his mental agility, and it wasn’t just a slight increase.

This might also be a passive effect of Spiritual Energy.

This is a good thing.

Chen Ming opened his eyes again.

The faster he learned, the less time he had to spend on these aspects, leaving more time for other things.

Chen Ming had initially thought a long time had passed when he put down the terminal.

But since it was only a short time, he chose to pick the terminal back up.

He intended to try and finish the dozen or so ebooks provided by Dusk in one day.

It’s nine thirty in the morning now, reading until ten at night; if he could maintain this efficiency for twelve and a half hours, it should be enough.

However, maintaining intense focus for twelve hours is something Chen Ming couldn’t manage.

So when his thinking started to tangle and needed clearing.

Chen Ming would temporarily relax, change his thoughts, and think about other matters.

Like now and what he needed to do afterward.

Chen Ming’s main objectives now were threefold.

The first was to gain benefits from Dusk.

The second was to find a stable route of escape from Dusk.

And the third was to prepare his personal fleet.

These three objectives essentially had one most convenient and shortcut method of completion.

Identify who is responsible for Dusk’s star system, find it and control it.

This way, the star system could directly fall into Chen Ming’s hands, let alone the fleet.

However, the difficulty was quite significant, not to mention finding it or having the chance to access it.

Currently, Chen Ming could only control spaceships. To control Dusk’s AI would require dismantling the core and installing it on a ship.

Breaking through Dusk’s various defenses, dismantling the star system’s controlling Dusk entity, and then installing it on any of Chen Ming’s ships.

Such difficulty can only be envisioned.

Yet, Chen Ming wasn’t quite sure if his control over Dusk’s AI truly aligned with his current understanding.
