Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 246: Chapter 106 Plans and Coincidences Within Plans

After obtaining permission to leave the spaceship from Dusk.

Chen Ming spent a few days traveling to the other side of the planet through different routes many times.

He basically figured out the situation of most of the planet and recorded it in the spaceship’s computer.

So far, Chen Ming has confirmed the locations of almost all of the Dusk mining sites on the planet that he has flown over.

As well as the locations of some other facilities that might record planetary data and potentially have Dusk individuals present.

Dusk doesn’t need rest, so all the facilities must be operating 24 hours a day.

But before Chen Ming arrives, Dusk gets notified in advance, allowing Dusk to retreat or hide.

So Chen Ming must try his best to conceal his intentions.

He controlled the Iron Ore No. to seriously mine for a few days, and also used his dismantling abilities to directly extract valuable ores from within, handing over unwanted products to Dusk in exchange for the monthly supply quota.

He behaved as if he was truly taking mining as a mere pastime.

However, during this time, Chen Ming certainly didn’t just do those things on the surface.

He also spent a lot of time determining the differences between various mining sites and found the locations of several sites with advanced resources and a larger number of Dusk AI.

These locations are Chen Ming’s final targets.

But if he finds other opportunities in the meantime, he won’t miss them either.

Moreover, in these few days.

Chen Ming has almost read the rest of the technical books that Brilliant previously gave him.

If it weren’t for him reading books about robotics simultaneously, he could have finished them in less than two days.

However, it’s precisely because Chen Ming read the professional books related to robotics that he now possesses the ability to transform robots.

Chen Ming plans to transform his standard all-terrain transport spider robot into a mining robot.

This would facilitate his subsequent plans.

And all he needs to do, besides studying, is just choose and confirm on the panel.

This is the advantage of good efficiency and ability coordination in learning.

As for the robot about to be transformed, besides the basic small-scale mining laser and some supporting exploration and drilling equipment.

Some weapons capable of combat in melee or ranged combat, along with some quirky devices like the micro electromagnetic pulse generator learned from Refraction.

Chen Ming also intends to equip the robot with some powerful explosives suitable for the mining tasks it will perform.

He’s using the explosive material ratio he previously obtained when dismantling the explosives from Luder Zuo Jing at the Star Realm Capital.

The effect should be quite impressive.

Chen Ming feels that the mining robot carrying explosives capable of destroying a Destroyer should have no problems blasting mines.

So he quietly stuffed a considerable amount in there, certainly more than the madman from Luder Zuo Jing carried.

Then the spider robot had half of its legs removed by Chen Ming, along with some hydraulic load-bearing devices.

Chen Ming didn’t need the overly strong load-bearing capability of a transport robot; he just needed to save some space for storing the collected ore and for some explosives that couldn’t fit.

Accordingly, Chen Ming slightly adjusted the walking logic AI of the robot, allowing it to adapt to the walking logic of four legs.

Of course, despite having four fewer legs, Chen Ming still tried to ensure adaptability in complex environments.

As for the effect, it should be able to support for some time, at least not breaking down immediately.

Anyway, Chen Ming feels that this robot probably won’t have many days left, so there’s no need to worry too much about functionality and durability.

The transformation doesn’t take Chen Ming much time.

In less than a minute, the melted materials from Iron Ore No. were completely integrated into the new mining robot.

The size hasn’t changed much compared to before, still about human-sized.

The part between the four spider legs was specially enlarged by Chen Ming, looking somewhat bloated.

But there should be no big problems.

Chen Ming intends to operate it practically first and then see the effect.

However, as Chen Ming was about to get started, he discovered some issues.

This robot, which he had tested several times before and couldn’t control via the panel, could now suddenly be controlled.

And just like controlling the spaceship, he could directly control it with his mind, without any interference or delay.

This situation made Chen Ming consider for the first time whether it was a new ability due to the growth of his Spiritual Power.

But his Spiritual Power had only been growing normally these days, consuming it through the Delusion Stone and other activities for exercise effects, with no situation of breaking limits or significant growth in Spiritual Power.

And the number of controllable spaceships displayed on the panel didn’t increase.

Only in the corner of the Iron Ore No.’s panel did an extra line appear.

[Transformation Connection: Mining Robot (Customized Machine Body)]

Like the AI Core, it didn’t display specific upper limit data for controllability.

However, Chen Ming feels that this mining robot should be counted as part of the Iron Ore No., and it shouldn’t exceed the Spiritual Power consumption limit of Iron Ore No.

So the current situation should be explained in just one way.

Unmodified robots cannot be controlled once they leave the spaceship, but once modified, it’s a different story.
