Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 232: Chapter 102 Dusk’s Probe, Terrifying Learning Efficiency_3

Chen Ming refused: ”No need, I’ve looked into it, the request for supplies still goes through you, right?”

”Yes, if you have any difficulties, please raise them in advance.”

”Hmm, no problems for now.”

”Alright, goodbye.”

Brilliant decisively cut off the communication.

Chen Ming settled into the captain’s chair with a sigh of relief.

It seems Dusk doesn’t have an accurate estimate of his learning efficiency yet.

A month of assessment is enough for Chen Ming to repeatedly devour these electronic books until he’s fully familiar with them.

However, Chen Ming wouldn’t reveal this outright, at least not until he chooses a suitable and appropriate time. Given his current delicate situation, he should find a way to leverage this for some benefits.

Whether it’s tangible benefits or advantages in other areas, he must attempt to secure them.

Moreover, Brilliant didn’t completely close off the possibility of negotiating Chen Ming’s movement restrictions, indicating room for bargaining.

So Chen Ming decided to keep working, cooperation is always mutual.

Even if Chen Ming plans to stab Dusk in the back, Dusk hasn’t fully trusted Chen Ming’s collaboration.

But at least in the short term, on the surface, it should be an amiable situation.

The next morning.

At eight sharp, Chen Ming started the spacecraft again.

Then he received another communication from Brilliant.

This time, Chen Ming spoke first, before Brilliant could say anything: ”I need the assistance of the spacecraft to use my abilities, I need to drive the spacecraft into the factory.”

After a slightly longer pause than usual, Brilliant replied: ”Continue, additionally, we have a request, this is our first time witnessing you use your abilities, we hope to observe it firsthand.”

Dusk’s mention of witnessing made Chen Ming feel uneasy, but he didn’t refuse, saying: ”My abilities are limited to the spacecraft; I can only control things on the spacecraft.”

”If you want to see, you need to wait until I bring the items onto the spacecraft, then view them through the spacecraft’s surveillance.”

What Chen Ming said would have been completely true some time ago.

But saying it now involves some of Chen Ming’s thought processes.

Because as it stands, Dusk’s AI Core is the only exception Chen Ming can control even when not on the spacecraft.

By hiding some key issues in ordinary statements, Dusk might overlook these issues in the future.

Brilliant’s response was very decisive: ”No problem, please directly connect the signal to the factory control panel, then we can see it.”

Brilliant finished speaking and helped Chen Ming open the factory doors directly.

Chen Ming squinted slightly, smoothly parked Iron Ore No. inside the factory.

With the assistance of work area equipment and robots, he loaded various necessary items into the transformed storage chamber, directly connected to the outside.

Once the weapons needing maintenance appeared inside the spacecraft, Chen Ming could directly see the maintenance materials needed for different weapons on the maintenance panel.

Chen Ming made a quick calculation, wrote up a list at 1.5 times speed, and sent it to Brilliant.

”These are the materials needed to maintain these items, the warehouse should have enough for now, but it might not be the case later. These should not count towards my personal resource allocation consumption, right?”

”Correct, we will regularly replenish the warehouse supplies, please proceed.”

Chen Ming nodded, connected Iron Ore No., whose permissions were fully controlled by him, to the factory’s internal network.

He continued to look at the panel, ready to press the maintenance button.

However, as he looked at these weapons, he suddenly noticed a problem.

The weapons Dusk had provided were nearly all energy weapons, both medium and small, with small ones being the majority. There were very few solid ammunition weapons.

Based on the books Chen Ming mastered yesterday, it seems he understands something.

If Dusk’s medium and small weapons primarily consist of these.

Then Dusk actually has the same problem Chen Ming previously had.

The spacecraft’s final capability is insufficient.

Although Chen Ming had seen the Speed Particle Spear, a terrifyingly destructive energy weapon, before.

But the limitation of the Speed Particle Spear as a large weapon determines it’s mostly installed on cruisers and higher-grade ships.

As for armor piercing, Chen Ming thought that even with the Antiparticle Energy Plan Module, it might not withstand the terrifying consumption of the Speed Particle Spear.

Chen Ming had personally experienced the effects of the Automatic Pulse Laser and the Speed Particle Spear.

Though one was experienced and the other was endured, Chen Ming could visually see the difference in energy output.

The Speed Particle Spear’s consumption is far greater than the Automatic Pulse Laser.

Not to mention that armor piercing is a newly emerging model, and Dusk doesn’t have the design for this type of large bearing point installed on destroyers.

Dusk’s Destroyer and Guard classes of low-tier ships are lacking in final capabilities.

Therefore, most of the technical books Dusk provided yesterday were focused on weapons, especially in aspects of weapon destructiveness and weapon output power.

Areas of weakness require strengthening.

They prioritized Chen Ming learning these technologies, likely considering these aspects.

Then considering this line of thought, the remaining small portion of books Dusk provided yesterday were mostly concerned with Radiant Energy System and Shield technologies.
