After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2195: Chapter 2199: The Result Is Out

”I used to want it to be a surprise, but now that the tests are done, I really want to know as soon as possible.”

Luo Xiaoqian went on explaining. Of course these words were meant for Leng Zimo; he was the child’s biological father, so he naturally had the right to know.

Luo Ke glanced at his watch. ”The results should be about ready.”

He turned his head to look at the Butler standing beside him. The Butler immediately left to make a call and ask.

Lowering her head to eat breakfast, Luo Xiaoqian quickly snuck a look at Leng Zimo, her mind already turning over how to find a chance to tell him about Luo Jun.

Seeing her look at him from time to time, a trace of doubt also rose in Leng Zimo’s heart.

He understood her body language. What had happened to make her so anxious and uneasy?

”Sir.” The Butler returned. ”The results are out.”

”Is it a boy or a girl?” Luo Xiaoqian immediately lifted her head and asked anxiously.

”Madam.” The Butler turned toward her. ”The doctor said that according to the blood test, the fetus in your womb is very likely a girl.”

”That’s wonderful.”

Joy instantly flooded Luo Xiaoqian’s heart.

A boy and a girl—she really was going to be a blissful mother with both a son and a daughter.

Hearing this, joy also rose in Leng Zimo’s heart.

He didn’t care about the child’s gender, but ever since he’d learned of this child, he’d hoped they could have a girl like her. Now that his wish had finally come true, he was naturally very happy.

Xiao Xiao Mo, Xiao Xiao Qian—everything was just as he and she had hoped.

Luo Ke was also very pleased. He absolutely could not accept having a little Leng Zimo around all the time, but if it was a little girl who resembled her, he felt he might be able to accept that.

His Sissi was so perfect; their child was bound to be an adorable Little Angel.

Thinking of this child made Luo Ke think of Luo Jun again, and that flicker of joy in his heart faded away.

Maybe he should check on ROY’s progress. Whenever he thought of Luo Jun’s face, so much like Leng Zimo’s, Luo Ke was filled with disgust.

”I’m full. You eat a little more and get some good nutrition. I have some work to take care of.”

”It’s fine, go ahead. I’ll eat slowly.”

Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t wait for him to leave, and immediately gave him a well-behaved smile.

Standing up, Luo Ke went upstairs.

Luo Xiaoqian kept her head down as she drank the porridge in her bowl, but her ears were pricked, listening to his footsteps. Once she heard Luo Ke walk away, she immediately sped up and finished the porridge in her bowl.

”Would you like a little more?” the maid came forward to ask proactively.

”Just a little more.” Luo Xiaoqian passed her the bowl. Watching the maid walk away, she quickly glanced around, and her gaze fell on Leng Zihei. ”I have something important to tell you.”

”Let’s go to the lake. I’m going to fish there,” Leng Zimo said.

”Okay.”

Not daring to talk to him too much, Luo Xiaoqian walked out of the villa pretending to take a stroll. She lingered for a while by the fountain outside the door, then headed toward the grove by the stables in the back.

The maid came out carrying the porridge, but there was no sign of her by the table.

Leng Zimo didn’t eat breakfast. He had the maid find fishing gear, then carried it toward the lake.

After wandering idly for a bit, Luo Xiaoqian saw that he had already set his fishing rod at the lakeside. She glanced around; the bodyguards were all far away. Only then did she walk over to his side, pretending to be casual.
