After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2188: Chapter 2192: What Are You Going to Do?

”Miss Xu is currently at the XX hotel,” the other party said on the phone.

The hotel mentioned was a well-known grand hotel in Roma City, one Shangguan Feng was not unfamiliar with.

”Who is she with?”

”Miss Xu Xia entered the hotel together with Mr. ROY and his subordinates.”

ROY again?!

Shangguan Feng’s mood instantly darkened. Ever since he met ROY at Lei Qingqing’s hotel opening ceremony, Shangguan Feng knew that ROY had been targeting Xu Xia, and there was a high likelihood he might have done something extremely vile to her that night.

Shangguan Feng initially thought that after Xu Xia was taken away by Ah Jiu and others to the police station this time, she should be relatively safe. He was eager to find her, first to ensure her safety, and second, to deliver a piece of news to her.

Leaning on his father’s connections, he had already paved the way for her. In two days, he would be able to help her retrieve her passport, allowing her to leave smoothly, and the police had guaranteed that this matter wouldn’t be leaked, ensuring it wouldn’t adversely affect her acting career.

Because Shangguan Feng firmly believed that Xu Xia wasn’t that kind of person, he even suspected that this incident was another one of ROY’s tricks, aiming to keep Xu Xia in Rome City to achieve his goals.

Lowering his phone, Shangguan Feng looked out at the night from the side of the window, stood up, and walked to the side of the window.

That despicable ROY. Could he be planning to harm Xu Xia again?

Thinking about this, Shangguan Feng, normally calm and composed, felt anxious.

What to do?!

Shangguan Feng thought swiftly.

Suddenly, he turned and strode to the door, took a couple of steps, then stopped.

No, calling the police now would be extremely detrimental to Xu Xia’s identity; after all, she is a public figure, and if this matter leaked, the pressure of public opinion alone would be unbearable for her.

Returning to the desk, Shangguan Feng took out a cigarette from the drawer, placed one between his lips, and frowned, deep in thought.

He never had any vices and wasn’t addicted to smoking or drinking; it was only during particularly frustrating times that he would light one up.

The smoke rose, irritating his eyes, and he once again left the study.

”Young Master!” The maid in the downstairs living room had finished her chores and was about to retire to her room. Seeing him suddenly come down, she immediately stopped, ”Is there anything you need help with?”

Usually polite, Shangguan Feng was in no mood to respond this time, waved her off, and strode out the door, quickly driving away.

The car sped through Rome City, and by the time he reached the hotel his assistant had mentioned, it was already early morning. Shangguan Feng sat in the driver’s seat, watching the hotel building across the empty road.

Moments later, the assistant arrived, opened the car door, and sat in the passenger seat next to him.

”I already asked around; they’re in room 1609. Aside from entering the room, they’ve ordered a double portion of Chinese food; neither ROY nor Miss Xu has left the room.”

”What time did they arrive?” Shangguan Feng asked.

”The exact time is unclear, but it should have been around dusk,” the assistant replied.

Shangguan Feng glanced at his watch; it was already past one in the morning.

If something truly happened, it would undoubtedly have happened already. Going in now might make things even more embarrassing for her.

”Secure some help, I’ll keep watch here.”

”You...” the assistant was somewhat confused, ”What do you plan to do?”
