After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2163: Chapter 2167: That’s Mom

Luo Jun grabbed Xu Xia’s arm, and with his other hand pointed straight into the distance. ”A black Bentley, the plate number is XXXX. Hurry, if we’re any later we won’t catch up. Uncle Ah Jiu, hurry up...”

”Young master!” Ah Jiu rushed over, grabbed him, then squatted down to steady his small shoulders. ”You saw wrong, that’s not your mom.”

”Impossible, there’s no way I saw wrong.” The little guy’s tone was firm. ”I know my mom. That’s my mom.”

”Your mom is being hidden by the bad guy Luo Ke on a small island. That can’t be Madam.” Ah Jiu stroked his little face. ”Uncle knows you miss your mom, but that really isn’t her...”

”You’re lying!” Luo Jun shoved Ah Jiu away and turned to run in the direction the car had left.

”Mo Mo!” Xu Xia hurried after him and grabbed him. ”Listen to your godmother. Even if that really is your mom, we still can’t catch up now. Didn’t you say you saw the license plate number? We’ll go back and check. With a plate number we can definitely track it down, right?”

Luo Jun frowned and stared at the traffic in the distance. The car was already nowhere in sight.

”Can we really find Mom?” Luo Jun turned his face up and asked Xu Xia.

Xu Xia raised her right hand. ”Your godmother promises you—we definitely will!”

”Okay then.” Luo Jun lowered his face, sounding dejected.

Watching his mom leave right in front of him, his mood sank to the bottom.

”Miss Xu, Brother Jiu...” One of the men ran over in a hurry, holding a stack of lab results. ”Why did you come out here? The test results are out.”

”Well?” Xu Xia asked at once, worried.

”The doctor said everything’s normal, all good,” the man said.

Xu Xia let out a long breath of relief and bent down to pick Luo Jun up. ”Then let’s go back first.”

They all got into the car. Luo Jun just kept his head down in silence. After a long while he finally raised his face and looked at Xu Xia.

”Godmother, tell me... why doesn’t Mom care about me?”

His mom had clearly seen him, yet she hadn’t responded at all and just left like that. The little guy couldn’t figure it out no matter how he thought about it.

Xu Xia asked gently, ”Could it be... you really did see wrong?”

”No.” Luo Jun was still absolutely certain. ”How could I mistake my own mom?”

Xu Xia frowned. ”Ah Jiu, where exactly are Xiao Qian and the others?!”

Ah Jiu let out a sigh. ”Madam is being imprisoned by Luo Ke on a small island.”

”Then... could Luo Ke have brought her back?” Xu Xia stroked Luo Jun in her arms. ”We were at the hospital just now. They go to hospitals too. Maybe something’s wrong with Xiao Qian’s health, so Luo Ke brought her back for treatment?”

Ah Jiu sat in the passenger seat, thinking in silence.

At the moment, he still hadn’t been in touch with Leng Zimo. Everything he knew was from a few days ago. He had no idea what the situation on the island was now.

The possibility Xu Xia mentioned wasn’t out of the question. Luo Jun might be young, but he was Madam’s son after all. Would a child mistake his own closest mother?

Could it be that Luo Ke really had brought Madam back to Rome City?

Looks like he needed to get in touch with Leng Zirui.

Glancing at Xu Xia in the back seat, Ah Jiu spoke again. ”Let’s go back first, then I’ll look into what’s really going on.”

Luo Jun asked again, ”Godmother, did Mom stop wanting me? Why wouldn’t she respond to me?”
