After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2153: Chapter 2157: He Loves Her So Tenderly

Seeing through his thoughts, Luo Xiaoqian quickly made a face at him.

Noticing her expression, Leng Zimo slightly tilted his head, lifting an eyebrow lightly.

Luo Xiaoqian slightly lifted her face, showing him a reassuring smile, indicating she was pretending.

Observing her playful gestures, Leng Zimo realized she was pretending. His brow first relaxed, then furrowed even tighter as his gaze shifted to Luo Ke’s background, growing increasingly somber.

Why was that guy looking at Luo Ke with eyes like knives?

Luo Xiaoqian shifted her gaze, noting his focus, and suddenly realized.

So, he was jealous.

”Alright.” Just now, she was only focused on making faces at him and for a moment forgot that she was still being held by Luo Ke. Quickly sitting up straight, Luo Xiaoqian said, ”I’ll eat a bit more, otherwise my stomach won’t feel good.”

Sitting back in her chair, she gripped the spoon and began eating.

Moments later, the attendant returned to inform Luo Ke that the plane was ready.

Luo Xiaoqian continued to eat the breakfast Leng Zimo had prepared for her, finishing every bite. As she stood by the door of the restaurant, she stopped, glancing quickly at Leng Zimo standing in the kitchen, then walked briskly towards the door.

This trip was unavoidable. She might as well go early and return early.

Leng Zimo stood in place, struggling to suppress his urge to rush forward.

The maids saw the group off. Moments later, the helicopter took off and left the island. The two maids sighed in relief and returned to the restaurant to clear the breakfast table and prepare breakfast for the bodyguards.

”I’m really envious of the lady. The sir truly adores her.”

”Yes, I heard from the bodyguards that the sir specifically arranged a trip for her today and planned to accompany her himself. Unfortunately, the lady isn’t well.”

...

Because she learned a lot last night and was so close to him, Luo Xiaoqian hadn’t thought to tell him about the trip to Rome.

Listening to their discussion, Leng Zimo had an epiphany. Earlier, he had been puzzled about why Luo Xiaoqian pretended to have a headache. Now he understood she didn’t want to go, but had no means to refuse when Luo Ke insisted on taking her to the hospital.

Realizing she was genuinely pretending, Leng Zimo’s mood slightly stabilized. Otherwise, he truly worried she would walk the old path again.

However!

Hypnosis?

Last night, Luo Xiaoqian told him she lost her memory due to hypnosis. Leng Zimo didn’t know how she remembered these things, but given her certainty, it shouldn’t be wrong.

Then...

A spark flickered in Leng Zimo’s eyes.

If Luo Ke was also seeking a hypnotist to hypnotize Luo Xiaoqian, and Dr. Yin Yi happened to disappear at this time, could it be Luo Ke’s doing? Could Dr. Yin Yi have been the one to hypnotize Luo Xiaoqian?

If reasoned this way, it seems very possible.

Luo Ke must have investigated him and Luo Xiaoqian. He likely knew about Dr. Yin Yi, and that’s why he wanted to control Luo Xiaoqian like this. Dr. Yin Yi’s disappearance, along with his wife and children being taken, is very much Luo Ke’s style.

If this is true, then where is Dr. Yin Yi? Could it be that Luo Ke already killed him to silence him?

Looking at the cook not far away preparing breakfast, Leng Zimo went over to help, ”Has the lady been on this island long?”

”Just a few days.” The maid answered offhandedly.

So, did she lose her memory after coming here or before?!

”Has she been amnesiac for a long time?” Leng Zimo asked again.
