After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2193: Chapter 2197: Nothing but a Bastard

The group arrived at Room 1609. Shangguan Feng glanced around, saw no one, and immediately gave a slight nod to his assistant.

The assistant took out a card and swiped it lightly. The locked door opened without a sound.

A bodyguard pushed the door open, and they all slipped in quietly one after another.

”Mr. Shangguan...” At this moment, Xu Xia had just walked out of the bathroom. Through the door, she saw Shangguan Feng coming in with people and looked utterly surprised. ”You all...”

”Miss Xu!” Seeing Xu Xia, Shangguan Feng instantly lit up with delight and walked quickly toward her, grabbing her arm. ”Come on, we have to leave here right now.”

”No... you guys...” Xu Xia instinctively tried to pull her hand back. ”What are you doing...”

”Let’s get out of here first, we’ll talk later.” Shangguan Feng cut her off. ”I’ll explain everything to you afterwards!”

All he could think about was not getting caught. It was his first time doing something like this, and Shangguan Feng was inevitably a bit anxious.

”But...”

”Miss Xu Xia, don’t hesitate.”

The assistant, seeing this, reached out to support Xu Xia’s other arm. With one bodyguard in front and one in back, Shangguan Feng and the assistant half-pulled, half-dragged Xu Xia out of the room and into the elevator.

Xu Xia shook off their hands. ”Shangguan Feng, what exactly are you trying to do?!”

Shangguan Feng’s face was full of apology. ”I know this way isn’t quite right, but it’s the simplest way.”

The simplest way?!

Xu Xia frowned and shrank back a little. Were they trying to kidnap her?!

”You don’t have to be scared. I’m taking you somewhere safe. I’ll get your passport in a couple of days, and then I’ll personally send you back to Beijing.” Seeing her fear, Shangguan Feng rushed to explain.

So he was here to save her?!

Xu Xia scrutinized Shangguan Feng, not easily giving him her trust.

True, in their previous interactions she hadn’t found him harboring any ill intentions. He had even spoken up for her at Lei Qingqing’s hotel. But did that prove he was a good guy?!

Back then with Tang Ming, hadn’t she also thought he was a good person? And what happened in the end?!

”Mr. Shangguan, I’m very grateful to you, but you really shouldn’t get involved in this.” Xu Xia said seriously.

Shangguan Feng only thought she was worried for him, so he smiled at once. ”It’s fine, you don’t need to worry about me. I can handle it.”

Ding!

The elevator stopped and arrived at the underground parking lot.

Shangguan Feng immediately held her arm. ”Let’s go, we’ll talk in the car.”

Xu Xia stayed put in the elevator. ”If you really are saving me, then let me walk on my own.”

”Miss Xu!” Shangguan Feng frowned and looked out of the elevator, worried that something might go wrong. He immediately ordered, ”Get her in the car first!”

There was no way Xu Xia could know he truly was rescuing her. She turned and tried to bolt. Shangguan Feng hurriedly grabbed her. Letting her run off on her own would be too dangerous. Lei Qingqing was an extremely capable woman; Xu Xia would definitely be captured again and sent back to ROY’s hellhole.

One bodyguard went to start the car, while the assistant and another bodyguard rushed over to help. The three of them together dragged Xu Xia into the car.

Shangguan Feng dove into the car as well. ”Drive!”

The car sped out of the parking lot in a rush. Shangguan Feng turned sideways to look at Xu Xia, wanting to apologize. ”Miss Xu, actually I...”

Smack!

Before he could finish, Xu Xia’s slap had already landed.

”Heh!” Xu Xia looked at him with utter disdain. ”I actually thought you were a decent man. Turns out you’re just another bastard.”
