After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2183: Chapter 2187: Are Things Okay?

This building is not very far from the villa; it’s a two-story row house.

Leng Zimo turned around a small circle and quickly found a lit window. He held his breath, lightened his steps, tiptoed over, and leaned his face towards the window.

The window was opened just a little, a narrow strip, and from his high position, he could barely see a section of the ground illuminated by the light, along with traces of half a bed placed in the corner.

Inside the room.

Dr. Yin Yi was unkempt, with a haggard face, and had lost a considerable amount of weight.

Being deprived of freedom like this and not knowing the whereabouts of his wife and children, although there was food and drink, the mental torture was the most exhausting.

Fortunately, he himself was a doctor of psychology and begged the bodyguards for some books to pass the time, preventing too much mental instability.

”Thank you.” Taking the dinner handed over by the other party, Dr. Yin Yi appeared exceptionally polite, ”Is the weather good recently?”

”Not bad at all.” The bodyguard said lazily.

”Eating this kind of dinner every day, aren’t you all tired of it?” Dr. Yin Yi frowned at the western dishes on the plate. He was born in Singapore, but both his parents were Chinese, so he preferred Chinese cuisine.

”No choice!” The bodyguard shrugged. ”We aren’t like the madam; the sir would switch chefs to cook for her personally.”

So there’s a new chef?

Dr. Yin Yi carefully noted this information and continued eating dinner, ”Is the madam alright?”

”Doing fine, the sir took her to Rome for fun.” The bodyguard’s voice bore an impatient tone, ”Hurry up, I have other tasks!”

”Alright.” Dr. Yin Yi knew that today’s conversation should end and immediately stopped talking, quickly finished the dinner on the plate, took the utensils to the bathroom to wash clean, and handed them to the other party, ”Thank you.”

He specialized in human psychology, and he understood the mentality of these people quite well, knowing how to make them relax their vigilance.

”Can you... let me out to sunbathe occasionally? Staying here every day, I feel like I’m going to collapse.”

”We’ll talk about this when the sir returns.” The bodyguard took the empty plate, ”I can’t decide.”

This doctor is a key figure; everyone on the island knows how much Luo Ke cares for Luo Xiaoqian. The bodyguard didn’t dare to make decisions casually and let Dr. Yin out, fearing he couldn’t bear the consequences if something went wrong.

”Alright then.” Dr. Yin Yi could only say helplessly.

The bodyguard left, meticulously locking the door, and Dr. Yin Yi washed his face, took a book from the table to read a couple of pages, but couldn’t continue due to worrying about his wife and children, walked to the window, and raised his face towards the window.

This was the only place in the room where he could see outside; even a small corner of sunlight, a corner of the starry sky was immensely precious to someone confined.

Leng Zimo retreated to one side, observing carefully.

He could see Dr. Yin Yi’s face inside; it was a haggard middle-aged man whose beard hadn’t been tidied for a long time, covering his face. His shirt was crumpled, suggesting he had been held for quite some time.

Could he be Dr. Yin?

Leng Zimo couldn’t be sure; in fact, he hadn’t seen Dr. Yin, so he didn’t know what he looked like.

He carefully noted the other’s appearance. Leng Zimo circled behind the building, found two more lit rooms but didn’t see any human shadows. Worried that staying too long might arouse suspicion, he quietly left the vicinity of the small building.
