After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2168: Chapter 2172: You’re an Expectant Mother Now

The three of them went to the downstairs restaurant together for a meal. Luo Xiaoqian was thinking about Luo Jun’s matter, and unusually didn’t pick at her food. After a few bites, she put down her cutlery, ”I’m full!”

”Only ate that little?” Luo Ke looked at the barely touched food on her plate.

”I want to hurry and see if I can remember something,” Luo Xiaoqian replied with a bright smile, ”If I get hungry, we can have afternoon tea outside.”

”Okay.” It was rare for her to be so enthusiastic, so Luo Ke naturally wouldn’t refuse. He also put down his cutlery, instructed the Butler to prepare the car, and as he got up to leave, he casually walked beside ROY, raising his hand to lightly pat his shoulder, ”Don’t forget, I arranged your task. I want results before tonight.”

”No problem,” ROY smiled.

Upon hearing this, Luo Xiaoqian felt even more anxious, ”Can we leave now?”

”Of course,” Luo Ke looked at her again, his face now beaming with a smile.

The two of them took a car to the city center’s tourist area, while Leng Zirui quickly left the castle as well.

As soon as he entered the downtown area, Leng Zirui immediately instructed two of his men to go to the hospital to investigate Xu Xia’s previous tests, searching for information. Actually, the idea was to split them up; driving toward the direction of the Wishing Well, he had already dialed Ah Jiu’s phone number.

”The plan has changed suddenly. You need to come out immediately, bring people to the vicinity of the Wishing Well. If things go smoothly, maybe we can rescue Xiao Qian directly.”

Given his current situation, he wasn’t in a convenient position to show up directly, and Luo Xiaoqian wouldn’t trust him. This matter needed Ah Jiu’s help to succeed.

”Remember one thing, Xiao Qian is currently suffering from amnesia and doesn’t recognize anyone. You should think carefully about how you can gain her trust,” Leng Zirui reminded.

Upon hearing the word amnesia, Ah Jiu was startled, but he was steady in his work. After the surprise, he immediately complied.

”Alright, I’ll bring people over right away.”

”I’ll stay in contact with you.”

Leng Zirui hung up the phone, parked the car on the side of the road, took off his suit jacket, put on his sunglasses, and quickly walked towards the direction of the Wishing Well.

...

...

On the street, people came and went.

Luo Xiaoqian looked leisurely at the scenery on both sides of the road but was actually pondering how she could escape.

This time, not only was Luo Ke personally accompanying her, but there were also several bodyguards before and after them. It wasn’t easy for her to get away. Noticing a café, Luo Xiaoqian immediately said she was thirsty.

”Let’s go sit for a while.”

Luo Ke promptly led her into the café.

A few of his men followed them inside.

”Could they move a bit further away? It feels like I’m on a date with several men at once,” Luo Xiaoqian complained.

Luo Ke summoned one of his men and issued an order. The bodyguards immediately moved to chairs a bit further away. Luo Xiaoqian secretly rubbed her forehead, then stood up.

”Sissi?!”

”I want to go to the restroom.”

”I’ll go with you.”

”That’s not necessary; it’s just a restroom,” she waved her hand hurriedly.

”Don’t forget, you’re an expectant mother now,” Luo Ke said, smiling dotingly.

”Alright then,” Luo Xiaoqian could only agree.

Accompanied by Luo Ke, she arrived at the restroom in the back, waved him off, stepped through the door, and was dumbfounded once inside. There was no window or anything she imagined she could escape from in the restroom.
