After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2185: Chapter 2189: This Is Just Too Strange

On the island, the bodyguard hung up the phone and immediately walked to the sofa, gently patting Leng Zimo’s shoulder.

”Let’s go!”

Leng Zimo was still pondering about going to the study. Hearing the other’s voice, he stood up in confusion, ”Go? Where to?”

”Sir wants you to go to Rome right away.” The bodyguard straightened up, ”Qiao, Adam, you two, go prepare the boat, we’re heading to Rome immediately.”

The other two bodyguards came over upon hearing this, and Leng Zimo knew he couldn’t refuse, so he had to follow the three towards the dock, ”Has something happened?”

The bodyguard shrugged, indicating he wasn’t too sure either.

Qiao, the guy beside him, jumped onto the boat while complaining, ”Going to Rome so late, damn it!”

”Enough!” Adam patted their shoulders, ”If there’s nothing much over there, we can go to a bar for a drink, I haven’t been with a woman for over a week.”

Qiao laughed, ”That’s a good idea!”

The men, thinking about the prospect of drinking and picking up women, turned their complaining expressions into excitement.

Leng Zimo sat inside the yacht, listening to the men loudly telling dirty jokes, but his mind was on Luo Xiaoqian.

At this moment, Luo Ke suddenly wanted to take him to Rome, could it be... Xiao Qian was exposed, did he find out something?

Frowning at the three people in front of him, he considered the possibility of fighting them one on three, but in the end, held back and didn’t act.

Since things weren’t clear yet, and it was hard for him to work his way into Luo Xiaoqian’s side, he couldn’t risk it. If they had indeed discovered something about him, these guys would probably have tied him up. Now, with no defenses in place, it seemed unlikely.

So, what exactly was it?!

Being told to head to Rome so suddenly in the middle of the night, wasn’t it too strange?

...

...

Rome, XX Hotel.

Leng Zirui stood up and gently untied the sheet knot wrapped around Xu Xia, freeing her from its constraint to let her sleep more comfortably, then pulled a thin blanket over her.

Xu Xia slept deeply. Knowing that he took care of that matter, she was relieved, and with her husband by her side, she had no worries, so she slept very peacefully.

He moved her arms to rest outside the blanket properly and frowned at the tie marks on her wrists, feeling a bit heartbroken.

”I’m sorry, but bear with it for tonight. Tomorrow, I’ll find a way to get you out of here.”

He got up and walked out of the bedroom, closing the door carefully, then went to the bathroom in the living room and immediately dialed Ah Jiu’s number.

First, he inquired about Luo Jun’s situation and felt relieved knowing he was safe.

”I’m at XX Hotel, room 1609 on the 16th floor. Tomorrow, I’ll make an excuse to leave here. You guys find a way to take Xu Xia away. Once she’s safe, take her and Luo Jun back to Beijing immediately.”

”Okay.” Ah Jiu agreed on the phone, ”I’ll arrange the plane.”

”Did you retrieve Xu Xia’s documents?” Leng Zirui asked.

”Not yet, but we can prepare a fake one first and deal with customs later,” Ah Jiu replied.

”Alright, then you guys prepare everything today and act when the time is right tomorrow.” Leng Zirui hung up, and someone knocked on the door. He deleted the call record, ”Come in!”

The door was pushed open, and Ah Ke returned with two subordinates who had previously left to tease Ah Jiu.

”How did it go?” Leng Zirui asked lazily.
