After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2170: Chapter 2174: Be Careful

Several bodyguards ran over with her, with Luo Ke leading the way.

At this moment, Ah Jiu and several of his subordinates were also charging towards Luo Xiaoqian’s direction.

Time was pressing; they had to seize the opportunity.

The tourists were panicking, not knowing which way to run. A tall man in black was rushing straight towards Luo Xiaoqian. Luo Ke saw this and instantly pulled a gun from his pocket, raising his hand to pull the trigger.

Bang!

The gunshot rang out, and a burst of blood erupted from the man’s chest. He fell heavily to the ground, and the gun concealed in his sleeve clattered to the floor.

Luo Xiaoqian watched as the man collapsed in front of her, the sudden scent of blood in the air. She raised her hand to cover her mouth.

”Sissi!” Luo Ke rushed over, pulling her into his arms. ”It’s alright now, let’s go!”

He held the gun in his hand, and it was indeed his bullet that was fired just moments ago.

Luo Xiaoqian was still in shock from the burst of blood, completely forgetting to resist.

By the time she came to her senses, Luo Ke had already taken her to one side of the square, surrounded by several bodyguards.

Ah Jiu came running over, looking up to find Luo Xiaoqian, but only saw a chaotic crowd. In the distance, police sirens were blaring, and officers in uniform were rushing over. There was no sign of Luo Xiaoqian anymore. Realizing the plan had failed, he had no choice but to order a retreat.

”Damn it!”

From a distant building, Leng Zirui punched the wall heavily.

Clearly, there was a chance right before their eyes, but a shooting incident had occurred?

What on earth happened!

In an alleyway not far from the square, Luo Ke’s face was ashen. What was supposed to be a simple day out had turned into this mess, and now he was fuming with anger, wanting nothing more than to kill someone.

”Find out who it was. I want to know before nightfall!” The subordinates didn’t dare to breathe, and Luo Ke turned to look at his side, seeing Luo Xiaoqian’s pale face. ”Sissi, are you alright?”

Wow!

Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t hold back any longer. Her stomach churned, and she instinctively covered her mouth, but it was too late, and she ended up vomiting all over Luo Ke.

Luo Ke frowned, and a subordinate quickly handed him a handkerchief. Luo Ke took the handkerchief but didn’t use it on himself. Instead, he offered it to help wipe Luo Xiaoqian’s mouth. Luo Xiaoqian raised her hand to take the handkerchief. ”I’ll do it myself.”

Two subordinates left to investigate the shooting incident, and Luo Ke discarded his soiled jacket and, with a few other subordinates, escorted Luo Xiaoqian back to the car, heading back to the castle.

In the car, Luo Xiaoqian simply looked dejected.

She had a perfect opportunity and didn’t seize it. How foolish she was!

What should she do now?!

...

...

Inside the villa.

Xu Xia bent over, looking at Luo Jun, who was huddled in the attic crevice, and softly instructed, ”Listen to godmother, no matter what noise you hear, don’t come out unless godmother calls you, understand?!”

Luo Jun nodded, ”Godmother, be careful.”

”Shh!”

Xu Xia raised a finger to signal him to be silent, and Luo Jun immediately covered his mouth and nose.

Restoring everything to its original state, Xu Xia locked the ventilation hole, glanced around, and picked up a baseball bat hanging on the wall as a weapon before quietly opening the door.

Taking off her shoes, she silently treaded up the stairs.

”Miss Xu, long time no see!”

At the turn of the stairs, Lei Qingqing idly played with a Butterfly Knife.

The knife twirled and danced in her fingers like a butterfly.
