After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2166: Chapter 2170: Wanting Xu Xia

”Ha!” Leng Zirui laughed out loud, ”I’ll go tell Sissi right now...”

He laughed so hard that he nearly bent over, tears almost streaming down his face.

The chill on Luo Ke’s face gradually faded, and the corners of his lips slightly raised.

”Actually, I think if you really want Xu Xia, maybe... I could ask Dr. Yin to help you.”

Right now, he only had ROY by his side, and Luo Ke knew the truth that a one-armed strongman couldn’t accomplish anything; he also needed an efficient assistant, and ROY was undoubtedly that person. Luo Ke didn’t want to truly lose ROY.

Moreover, at this time, he had to guard against Leng Zimo’s men and the people from Lei’s side.

To keep Leng Zirui under control, ROY was also using a carrot and stick approach, threatening while also actively helping him.

Leng Zirui shrugged his shoulders, ”This, for now, I’m not interested. The most interesting part of hunting is conquest; catching prey that comes to you is dull.”

Outside the door.

Luo Xiaoqian listened to their voices, already nervously clenching her palms.

Luo Ke... he wants to kill Luo Jun?!

What to do?!

She stood outside the study door nervously, not knowing what to do, to the point that she didn’t even notice the maid going upstairs.

Luo Xiaoqian snapped out of her trance, but it was already too late.

”Madam, lunch is ready.”

Seeing her, the maid spoke respectfully.

The door was suddenly pulled open.

Luo Xiaoqian looked up in surprise, only to see Luo Ke standing at the doorway, frowning as he looked at Luo Xiaoqian standing close to the study door in the hallway. Luo Ke spoke in a deep voice.

”Sissi?! What are you doing here?!”

Leng Zirui was also surprised to see Luo Xiaoqian standing outside the door. Seeing her somewhat flustered expression, he vaguely guessed something and laughed, ”I think she must be wanting to change rooms!”

Luo Xiaoqian, prompted by him, immediately went along with it, saying, ”I was just curious, why is my room’s balcony sealed?”

Luo Ke raised his face, looking at the room behind her, and anger instantly filled his eyes.

”Who brought you up here?”

”Sir, it was me!”

The maid nervously stepped forward.

Because she didn’t know about Luo Xiaoqian’s amnesia, she assumed precautions still had to be made against Luo Xiaoqian escaping, so she directly brought her to the room where she previously stayed, which had its balcony boarded up and not yet opened.

”Is that Madam’s room?!”

Luo Ke extended his finger and clamped down on the maid’s throat.

She dared to bring Luo Xiaoqian to that room, forcing him to come up with ways to explain if she asked the reason.

Damn it!

The maid’s face flushed red, gasping painfully.

Leng Zirui stood aside, sympathizing with the maid but knowing he couldn’t speak; pleading for a maid wasn’t something ROY would do.

Moreover, with Luo Xiaoqian present, she would surely stop this matter.

”Luo Ke!” Luo Xiaoqian only wanted to find an excuse to extricate herself, but didn’t expect to implicate the maid. She hurriedly rushed forward, grabbing his arm, ”Let it go, don’t harm her, she’s probably new and not aware, Luo Ke... let go... Luo Ke...”

Luo Ke slowly released his fingers, and the maid coughed and collapsed on the floor.

By this time, the butler and henchmen had already arrived in response to the commotion.

”Dismiss her!” Luo Ke coldly ordered.

The butler and henchmen dragged the maid away, and Luo Xiaoqian watched her leave, frowning and secretly sighing in relief; if the maid had died because of this incident, she would truly feel guilty.
