After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2152: Chapter 2156: Not Feeling Too Well...

After closing the door and looking at herself in the mirror above the sink, Luo Xiaoqian’s palms were already full of cold sweat.

Without further hesitation, she quickly washed her face and carefully used concealer and foundation to hide a few kiss marks on her neck that might show. She then went to the changing room to find a set of tightly wrapped clothing to put on. Checking in the mirror to ensure there were no flaws, she finally stepped downstairs.

In the dining room, Luo Ke was already sitting on the chair waiting for her. Just as Luo Xiaoqian walked in, the maid brought over the breakfast that Leng Zimo had prepared for her.

Looking at the breakfast on the plate, Luo Xiaoqian was suddenly not feeling as hungry.

Of course, it’s not the breakfast’s fault; she’s just a bit worried about this trip to Rome.

Previously, she was looking forward to it.

But now, it suddenly has become something that gives her a headache.

”What’s wrong?” Luo Ke observed her lackluster spirit. ”Is the breakfast not to your taste?”

”Ah, it’s not that...” Luo Xiaoqian lifted her face, ”I... don’t feel too well...”

She tried hard to find an excuse to cancel the trip.

”Not feeling well?” Luo Ke worriedly stood up and walked over to her, reaching out to touch her forehead, ”Where are you feeling unwell...”

Luo Xiaoqian moved his hand away and raised hers to rub her temple, ”A bit... of a headache...”

”Headache?” Luo Ke frowned upon seeing her ”pained” expression, filled with concern, ”Call the doctor!”

Hearing his voice from outside, Leng Zimo also felt worried in the kitchen, immediately bringing out the prepared soup to place on the table, carefully looking at Luo Xiaoqian.

The doctor came rushing in, followed by the maid.

After reaching Luo Xiaoqian, the doctor asked her some simple questions and conducted a preliminary examination but found no abnormalities.

”Madam, do you have any other discomfort?”

”Nothing else, just the headache.” She stealthily glanced at Leng Zimo standing nearby, then stood up from the chair, ”It’s nothing serious; I’ll... lie down and sleep, it’ll be fine.”

”How can that be?”

Luo Ke put his hand on her arm and glanced at the doctor.

Seeing that Luo Xiaoqian was faking illness, the doctor naturally couldn’t see any clues. When Luo Ke looked at him for answers, he frowned lightly and shook his head, ”A headache can vary in severity; to be safe, madam should go to the city hospital for a checkup.”

Go to the hospital?

Luo Xiaoqian immediately waved her hand, ”No need, just a headache, it’s nothing...”

But Luo Ke had already ordered, ”Prepare the plane, contact doctors at XX Hospital, and we’ll fly over right away.”

”Luo Ke, it’s really not necessary.” Luo Xiaoqian felt helpless, initially trying to escape the so-called intimate time with him, now ending up going to the hospital. However, the play had begun, and she could only follow the script.

Luo Ke comfortingly held her and patted her shoulder, ”We’ll go for a checkup; I don’t want any issues with your health.”

With her head pressed against his shoulder, Luo Xiaoqian raised her eyes to see Leng Zimo standing behind Luo Ke.

At that moment, Leng Zimo’s brows were also furrowed.

During the time Dr. Yin hypnotized him, he experienced headaches, later discovering a brain tumor. Leng Zimo was extremely cautious about headaches, and watching Luo Xiaoqian mention hers only made him more worried than Luo Ke. He didn’t display it due to his identity, but his brow had already betrayed his emotions.
