After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2187: Chapter 2191: The Warmth of My Wife

Walking over to lock the door, Leng Zirui hung the chain and returned to the bedroom.

On the bed, Xu Xia lay curled up, still sound asleep.

Walking to her side, Leng Zirui pulled back the covers and lay beside her, raising his hand to embrace her, lovingly stroking her hair.

Tomorrow she’ll be leaving, so tonight I will fully enjoy the warmth of my dear wife!

Noticing her hands, Leng Zirui reached out to undo the tie on her hands, but after thinking it through, he found it inappropriate.

If this girl acted impulsively again and did something, it would truly not be worth the risk.

After weighing the pros and cons, Leng Zirui ultimately decided to keep her tied up for the night.

He untied the tie, bound one end to her right hand, passed it through the bedpost, and then took the other end to bind her left hand, tying two careful knots.

This kind of knot is very secure, difficult to untie, and doesn’t tighten with struggle.

This way she couldn’t untie it, nor would it hurt.

Having secured Xu Xia’s arms, Leng Zirui then lay beside her, extended his arm to embrace her body, buried his face in her hair, kissed it, then held her tight, closing his eyes.

In a villa in the northern part of Rome City, although it was already late at night, the light was still on in the study on the second floor.

In front of the computer, Shangguan Feng was drafting the initial sketch of a building.

The building was a high-rise designed for a company in Beijing, and once built, it would become a landmark.

The client wished to express the elegance of eastern beauty, while also making it feel like a modern building.

The requirements were indeed challenging.

After all, the difference between Eastern and Western aesthetics is that one is subtle beauty, and the other is modern flamboyance. How to combine these two aesthetics in architecture is an absolute challenge, even for Shangguan Feng.

The paper bin beside the desk was already half-filled with discarded drafts.

Looking at the sketches in front of him, Shangguan Feng shook his head once more.

”No, not like this!”

Putting down the pencil in his hand, he leaned back wearily on the chair, his eyes glancing at the phone on the desk.

Has there been no news yet?!

Ever since he saw Xu Xia being taken away by Ah Jiu and the others, he had been worried and constantly investigating Xu Xia’s whereabouts. With no progress after so long, Shangguan Feng was inevitably anxious.

Although he only recently met Xu Xia, he had been familiar with her music for a long time.

He liked her music, which intricately combined the subtlety of Eastern style with the boldness of Western style. He still remembered three years ago when he was in a creative slump over a design in New York and happened to catch a short MV on the street; it was this brief footage that sparked his inspiration. Later, he found out that the singer wasn’t an Asian-American, but a thoroughly Chinese artist named Xu Xia.

This time, while vacationing in Rome, encountering this singer who had greatly influenced him was a delightful surprise for Shangguan Feng, but the subsequent events were not as pleasant.

Whenever he recalled how Xu Xia looked that day in the hotel, the usually composed Shangguan Feng couldn’t help but feel increasingly restless.

On the desk, the phone suddenly rang.

Shangguan Feng quickly sat up, grabbed the phone, and answered without looking.

”Hello?”

”Mr. Shangguan, the person you’re looking for has been found.”

Shangguan Feng’s eyes instantly brightened, ”Where is she?”

Good afternoon
