After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 647: Chapter 651: Prophecy Emperor, Leng Zirui [2]

Back in World City, Leng Zimo personally got out of the car to buy the best pregnancy test from a 24-hour pharmacy just outside of World City.

Once they were home, the first thing the two of them did was head straight for the bathroom.

Looking at Leng Zimo waiting in the bathroom with an expectant look on his face, Luo Xiaoqian blushed and frowned, ”Why aren’t you going out?”

”Waiting for you,” Leng Zimo said naturally. Noticing her flushed cheeks, he realized, ”Alright, I’ll wait outside and check what’s in the fridge to make you some supper.”

Less than a minute later, the bathroom door was knocked on by Leng Zimo again.

”Is it ready?”

”Not yet.”

He turned and left, only to return a moment later.

This time, Luo Xiaoqian opened the door herself.

”So?” asked Leng Zimo immediately.

”That...”

”What is it already?” Leng Zimo asked impatiently.

Normally unflappable in business, he couldn’t help feeling anxious this time.

With a smile, Luo Xiaoqian raised the test strip in her hand, displaying two clear red lines, ”Zimo, it looks like... you’re really going to be a dad!”

Leng Zimo’s eyes lit up at once. He stepped forward, wrapping his arms around her, and pulled her into his embrace.

”That’s great, Xiao Qian, you’re amazing.”

To him, the word ”dad” had seemed like a far-off concept until today.

But now, the word held extraordinary meaning for him.

The mutation in Leng Lin’s condition, the truth behind the incident with Luo Xiaoqian... After these less-than-joyful events, Luo Xiaoqian’s pregnancy was like a refreshing spring breeze that swept away the gloom, filling his heart with an indescribable happiness.

Over the years, his relationship with his father had been full of ups and downs, cold wars, and now, seeing his father fall, Leng Zimo as his son couldn’t help but feel guilty.

Now, this child was undoubtedly the best gift he could give to his father.

Luo Xiaoqian hugged his waist, pressing her face against his chest.

”I’m very happy too.”

After the initial surprise, on the way back, she’d been hoping that this was true.

Although having a baby at this time might affect her singing career, she believed that the child would definitely bring joy to Zimo and the Leng Family. Their happiness was her happiness, and nothing else mattered.

After a long embrace, Leng Zimo finally let go, ”Let’s go, there are frozen wontons in the fridge, I’ll cook some for you.”

”I’ll wash my hands first.” Luo Xiaoqian moved to the sink to wash her hands.

”Wait!” Just as she turned on the faucet, Leng Zimo came over and adjusted it to the hot water side, ”No cold water, use warm.”

”It’s summer, it’s okay,” said Luo Xiaoqian.

”Absolutely not.” Leng Zimo felt the water temperature with his hand, ensuring it was warm before taking her hands and carefully washing them under the flow, ”Don’t forget, you’re now an expectant mother; you have to be careful with everything.”

Luo Xiaoqian stretched out her hands, feeling the tenderness of his fingertips, her heart filled with a warm happiness.

The slight nervousness of becoming a mother for the first time also disappeared amidst his tenderness.

”All done.” Leng Zimo dried her hands with a towel, washed his own hands, then held her arm to escort her to the dining table where she sat down, while he went into the kitchen to prepare her supper.
