After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 618: Chapter 622: Not Forgiving [3]

”Stop, thief...”

Xu Pei struggled to chase a few steps forward, her body swaying, already having fallen to the ground.

Not far away, a young man clad in black immediately rushed over, chasing the thieves into an alley.

The two thieves were no match for him; he quickly caught them red-handed. Glancing at the young man who had entered, the thieves, desperate, pulled out knives.

”You little shit, looking to die?!”

Cursing under his breath, he took a step forward and stabbed the knife towards the black-clad young man.

The young man in black only smirked, raising his lips slightly. With a big hand, he grabbed the other’s wrist, twisted gently, and the thief fell to the ground in pain.

To the side, the other thief lashed out with a kick, but the young man dodged calmly, grabbed his ankle, and gave a strong pull.

The two goons ended up tumbling together. Walking forward, the young man in black yanked open their belts and tied the two together.

”There, be good and wait here for Uncle Police. Young master has other things to do, no time to play with you!”

Picking up Xu Pei’s bag from the ground, the young man in black took out a phone and dialed 110, ”In the alley next to Nightcolor Bar, two thieves who stole bags are tied up. Send someone over to deal with it!”

The young man in the black T-shirt was none other than Leng Zirui’s trusted subordinate, Seo Shaochuan.

After meeting with Father Leng last time, Zirui had given the task of tracking Xu Pei to Shaochuan, ordering him to monitor her 24 hours a day and report all her movements.

As Seo Shaochuan rushed into the alley after the two thieves, a tall man had already jumped out of the car outside the nightclub and ran swiftly to Xu Pei’s side, helping her up from the ground.

”Thank you,” Xu Pei said as she turned to express her gratitude. Upon seeing the man’s face clearly, her drunkenness sobered up a bit. ”Tang Ming?”

The man took a careful look at her, his face showing surprise too. ”Xu Pei!”

”It really is you!” Xu Pei’s eyes lit up. ”When did you return to the country?”

Tang Ming’s gaze swept over the scrape on her arm. ”You’re hurt. Let’s talk in the car.”

Xu Pei glanced in the direction where the thieves had fled and turned to get into the black Audi parked on the roadside with him.

In the alley, Seo Shaochuan no longer paid any attention to the thieves and quickly returned to the front of the bar, only to find Xu Pei gone.

Seeing someone passing by, he hurriedly stopped them.

”Excuse me, there was a young girl here just now who had her bag stolen, she was quite drunk. Did you see her?”

The passerby merely shook their head.

Shaochuan returned to the nightclub to ask the waitstaff and security, still with no result. Holding onto Xu Pei’s bag, he pulled out a phone and dialed a number. ”Boss, I lost her!”

”Is that so, you lost her? No worries!” Leng Zirui’s laughter immediately came over the phone. ”No need to look for her; just come back. I will call Xiao Lin to sort out your discharge procedures and send you on a plane first thing in the morning!”

”Boss, no!” Seo Shaochuan was close to tears. ”I really had a special situation. There were two thieves who stole Xu Pei’s bag. I chased after them and got the bag back, and then she disappeared!”

”Look at your skills, good only for catching thieves,” Zirui’s tone softened slightly. ”Since you have her bag, open it and see if there’s anything special. I’ll call you back in a bit.”
