After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 628: Chapter 632: Is Xiao Qian Pregnant?【1】

”You...” Leng Zirui sneaked a glance at his face, knowing that the old man was already aware, immediately resorted to playing the scoundrel, ”I’m telling you, Xiao Qian is already pregnant. If you dare to send my brother to jail, I’ll take Xiao Qian to the hospital to abort the fetus, so the kid won’t have a father from the moment he’s born!”

”Xiao Qian is pregnant?” Leng Lin was startled.

”Ah, yes, they’ve been living together for so long, isn’t it normal to get pregnant? Xiao Qian was afraid you’d find out and stop her from singing, so she didn’t dare to tell you!” Leng Zirui gritted his teeth and continued to lie.

In his heart, he was just silently praying.

Xiao Qian, sister-in-law, for the sake of big brother, you’ll just have to sacrifice a little, I’m doing this for you and big brother’s future happiness.

He knew his old man’s temperament all too well. To save his big brother, Leng Zirui had no choice but to use Luo Xiaoqian as his ace in the hole. He didn’t believe that Leng Lin, about to become a ”grandfather”, would be willing to let his own grandson be born fatherless?!

”Really?” Leng Lin still found it hard to believe.

Leng Zirui bit his teeth, yet his facial expression didn’t give anything away, ”Of course it’s true, would I lie about something this important?”

”Those two little things, not telling me about such an important event!” Leng Lin frowned, then thinking of soon becoming a grandfather, his face involuntarily broke into a smile, ”How many months along is the child, when is she due?!”

”Due? You’re about to send her father to prison, you want Xiao Qian to be an unwed mother?” Leng Zirui retorted with a sneer.

”Who said I was going to put him in jail?” Leng Lin glared at him resentfully, ”If I wanted to, I would’ve done it a long time ago!”

The Zhengding affair had already been smoothed over by Huangfu Ao. Firstly, there was a legitimate reason, and secondly, the deceased were local scumbags whose deaths were of little concern. Leng Lin had already investigated the incident thoroughly and had not intended to pursue it.

Leng Zirui looked at his father with a sly smile, ”Now that you’ve said that, I’m relieved. Let’s talk about the matter at hand, how do you want to deal with this situation?”

Leng Lin’s face turned serious, ”I want to have a good talk with Xiao Qian, to hear her opinion. In this matter, she’s the victim. If she doesn’t want to let Xu Pei off, I... will support her decision!”

”That’s more like it!” Leng Zirui walked over and draped his arm around Leng Lin’s shoulder, ”Dad, think about it, Xiao Qian is your daughter-in-law, and Zimo is your biological son; you definitely can’t elbow outwards. Otherwise, when your grandson is born, if he knows you sided with strangers against his mom, will he even call you grandpa?!”

”Be honest with me, how long has Xiao Qian been pregnant for? I saw her hopping around on TV, it won’t affect the child, will it?” Leng Lin asked with concern.

Concerning the safety of his ”grandson”, he naturally could not help but be anxious.

”This... I think it’s just over a month?” Leng Zirui withdrew his arm, ”I don’t know the details of their marital life. I’ll ask them carefully another day. I still have training tasks with my team, so I’ve got to go now!”

As he walked to the door and pulled it open to leave, he didn’t forget to turn back and remind Leng Lin.

”Just so we’re clear, you’re not allowed to ask Xiao Qian about this. If my brother finds out I’ve been spilling his wife’s secrets, he really could fight me to the death. Even though my own son hasn’t arrived yet, you can’t indirectly murder your future second grandson’s dad. If it comes to that, when I’m six feet under, I’ll take mom to find a new old man and get her to divorce you...”

Seeing him talk more and more absurdly, Leng Lin impatiently interrupted with one word.

”Scram!”

”Aye aye, sir!”

Leng Zirui saluted him and scampered down the stairs.
