After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 630: Chapter 634: Is Xiao Qian Pregnant?【3】

”I’m just full of envy, jealousy, and hatred for you two!” Yu Tong exclaimed with a laugh, then agreed, ”I’ll try my best to arrange more time for you.”

”Thank you,” Luo Xiaoqian said as she returned to her seat, leaning wearily back in the chair. ”Is there anything else I need to do today?”

Yu Tong glanced at the schedule. ”At four o’clock, there’s an event for the cosmetics brand you endorse. You need to attend, and there’s also a charity performance at eight tonight. Tomorrow, you don’t have work until the afternoon, so you can sleep in!”

These days, she had been flying everywhere, with performances, attending events, doing publicity, and on top of that, two international brands had approached her to be their spokesperson, to shoot commercials... She hadn’t slept in for several days, so the news that she could finally sleep in made her cheer out loud.

”Hooray!”

Busy days always fly by quickly, and in the blink of an eye, the weekend arrived.

Leng Zimo, who was originally scheduled to return Friday evening, couldn’t make it back due to work and postponed his return to the Capital to Saturday afternoon.

So, on Saturday morning, Luo Xiaoqian called Gao Jie to drive her to the Leng Family.

There was some traffic on the road, and by the time Luo Xiaoqian finally arrived at the Leng Family Mansion, it was almost noon. Aunt Su had already prepared lunch, and hearing the doorbell, she hurried over to open the door, welcoming Luo Xiaoqian and Gao Jie into the room.

Despite repeated invitations from Luo Xiaoqian and the others, Gao Jie kindly declined the offer to stay for lunch. Gao Jie carried the gifts Luo Xiaoqian had brought to the doorstep, then left the Leng Family soon after.

Luo Xiaoqian then distributed the gifts she had brought from Hong Kong to everyone.

”Let’s eat first!” Leng Lin gratefully accepted the pipe she gave him, and smilingly led her into the dining room, with Aunt Su immediately following to serve everyone rice.

Looking at the feast on the table, Luo Xiaoqian excitedly exclaimed, ”All this delicious food, and that guy Leng Zimo is missing out!”

”Never mind him, let’s eat!” Leng Lin gestured with his chopsticks toward the fish soup on the table. ”Try the soup Aunt Su has simmered.”

”That’s right, that’s right, I’ll serve Xiaoqian a bowl,” Aunt Su personally ladled a bowl of soup for Luo Xiaoqian, placing it in front of her. ”The fish was caught yesterday, kept alive in a basin, and only killed this morning. The soup is very fresh!”

”Thank you, Aunt Su, Uncle Leng.” Luo Xiaoqian received the bowl, took a sniff, appreciating the fresh aroma, but felt a sudden discomfort in her appetite. She looked up to see two expectant gazes upon her, managed a smile, and steeled herself to scoop a spoonful of soup. She had barely taken a small sip when her stomach churned uncontrollably. In a panic, she set down the bowl and covered her mouth as she rushed out of the dining hall.

”Xiao Qian?!”

Seeing her distress, Leng Lin stood up from his chair with concern.

”You sit, I’ll go check on her.”

Aunt Su hurriedly followed Luo Xiaoqian out into the living room and saw her leaning over the toilet in the washroom, dry heaving. Aunt Su busied herself with fetching tissues and water, and it took a while for Luo Xiaoqian to stop feeling nauseous and wash her face before stepping out of the washroom.

Leng Lin was waiting in the hall with concern, and upon seeing her, he immediately asked worriedly, ”Are you not feeling well? Should I call a doctor over?”

”No need, no need!” Luo Xiaoqian hastily waved her hands, ”It might just be that I got a bit carsick from the traffic earlier, it’s nothing, I’ll be fine after a little rest.”

Carsick?!

Leng Lin looked at Luo Xiaoqian’s slightly pale face, suddenly remembering something Leng Zirui had said, and his expression immediately softened.
