After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 645: Chapter 649: The Treatment of Expectant Mothers [2]

Leng Zimo let out a light laugh.

”If I could take your place for this matter, I would do it without hesitation!” Cradling her small face, his voice was incredibly gentle, ”Xiao Qian, don’t be scared, I will take good care of you and the baby.”

The look in his eyes eased the tension in her heart substantially. ”Zimo, do you like children?” she asked.

Leng Zimo was honest and direct, ”If you’re the one giving birth, then I like them.”

Feeling the full measure of his doting tone, Luo Xiaoqian finally laughed again, ”Then I’ll give birth.”

”Good girl!” Leng Zimo adjusted her seatbelt for her, ”Sit tight.”

Once he had made her comfortable, he sat back up straight, started the car.

”Where are we going?” she asked.

”Of course, to the hospital.” Leng Zimo smiled as he steered the car onto the road, ”First, we need to confirm whether you are truly pregnant or not.”

After all, this was merely conjecture by the two of them. Although Luo Xiaoqian’s symptoms were very much like those of pregnancy, things had to be confirmed by a doctor before they could be sure.

He drove forward, and upon spotting Meiyin Love Maternity Hospital by the roadside, Leng Zimo immediately turned into it, stopping in front of the hospital entrance. Luo Xiaoqian had just unbuckled her seatbelt when he quickly came around, opened her car door, and held her arm.

”Be careful,” he warned.

Luo Xiaoqian laughed, ”I am not about to give birth; there’s no need for such exaggeration.”

Leng Zimo helped her down with a bossy tone, ”I hereby declare, from this moment on, you’re being treated as an expectant mother!”

The two walked together into the hospital corridor, and since it was already late at night, there were no patients in the hall, and no one behind the reception desk. Leng Zimo raised an eyebrow, supported Luo Xiaoqian down the corridor, and saw an open gynecology clinic with lights on, so he helped her inside.

In the clinic, a doctor was busy playing games on her mobile phone, not bothering to look up as they entered.

Anger appeared on Leng Zimo’s face.

”Doctor!” Luo Xiaoqian waved at him and walked up to the female doctor’s side, ”Excuse me, I’d like to ask...”

”Medical abortion or surgical abortion?” The female doctor asked without lifting her head.

Although the hospital bore the name of a maternity hospital, it was actually a small clinic specialized in performing D&C and abortions. When patients arrived late at night, the female doctor naturally assumed Luo Xiaoqian was like any other girl there, seeking an abortion.

”Ah...” Luo Xiaoqian was taken aback for a moment.

The doctor lazily quoted the prices, ”Medical abortion, two hundred; surgical abortion, five hundred; painless, one thousand eight hundred...”

”I’m not...” Luo Xiaoqian had barely gotten three words out when Leng Zimo strode forward, slammed his hand down on the desk, and bellowed, ”Are you a doctor?!”

The female doctor jumped with fright, her phone almost falling to the floor. She raised her head, ready to snap back, but when she saw his face, she froze in shock, ”You...”

”Let’s go!” Leng Zimo grabbed Luo Xiaoqian and pulled her out of the clinic, all the way back to the car. He did not forget to glance back at the hospital’s sign before pulling out his phone and dialing a number, ”Uncle Xu, it’s me, Zimo. There’s a Meiyin Love Maternity Hospital that needs to be taken care of!”

By his side, Luo Xiaoqian watched as he hung up the call, ”Zimo, you?!”

Wasn’t it a bit excessive to have a hospital investigated just over a single sentence?!

”It’s fine, we can go to another hospital.” Leng Zimo reached over to touch her face, ”A shady hospital like that definitely doesn’t have all its licenses in order – I’m doing a good deed!”

Quickly, the car was back on the road, and Leng Zimo didn’t dare to pick a hospital at random this time. Instead, he took out his phone and called Shen Yizhou.
